Lovely picture of a tranquil rural church in today's update to Harkovast. Of course, being a fantasy comic, it doesn't look as if that tranquility is likely to last very long so, if you like the peaceful joys of the countryside, you'd best get over there quick …

Just be sure to avert your eyes when the big hairy backside of a giant pink monster steed looms into view!

************************

Meanwhile, there's a rather different mode of transport on display in the latest update to Shades. Yes - it's a car!

Well - not just any car, obviously, but Boudicca's rather stylish "chariot". Oh, okay - she calls it a chariot; but you can call it a Boomobile if you really must!

In SHADES, beautiful art for a daredevil stuent. (Love the two horses ornamenting the hood, also…)

In the CROSSOVERLORD, A.N.T. tries to pick a name for the team—only to be shot down…at http://www.drunkduck.com/Crossoverlord/index.php?p=491695. —Al

I love the realistic artwork here… and the naming has a lot of humor potential. :D

Today on TIMES LIKE THIS: Blurg can do it. Cassie can help.

I love the decent mix between drawn art and the photo background. Somehow it blends so perfectly. Cute aliens too. lol!

Eternity was updated yesterday with a nervy moment. ;)

I don't believe I've seen your comic before. You have a nice manga style. ^_^ I really like your page layouts too. They are very dynamic. The shapes and positions of the panels keep things very interesting and fun to read.

Today, Gelotology reexamines a classic psychology experiment involving fear conditioning.

In Used Books, Seiko is confronted by bad guys again. No guns or knives this time, but there are some equally scary objects and methods coming into play.

Gelotology is a pretty cool idea you have going there. :) I think we've all had random ideas that wouldn't fit into our normal stories for whatever reason, but you've made it work here.

Used Books is consistently looking better. I like the angles and lighting you are doing in the last few pages immensely!

Pagan Zoetrope: A plant "hate crime" is brought to light.

Pagan Zoetrope demonstrates great art work and good characterization. I particularly like the heavy outline around the people. It really makes them pop on the page.

===============================
As for my strip, Bad Attitude, today’s offering is a tribute page to a famous fantasy author. It might be too much of an insider’s joke for readers, but I could not resist. http://www.drunkduck.com/Bad_Attitude/index.php?p=494587

Bad Attitude offers an interesting homage to a famous author there, an obscure homage and some pretty decent art. A curious little strip that :)

The Chronicles of Wyrden pushes the story back towards Captain Talon Mane and well, what do you expect, this is Talon after all!

Ha, when I read that little blurb, Doc, I knew immediately there had to be a scantily-clad lady around ^.^ Smokin' hot work by Reva!

Over at Salt, Lia is recovering admirably. Also, I posted a photo in the notes of snow! (It's probably only exciting to ME, but hey… I live in Texas ^.^)

Salt the Holly's last few pages are displaying dynamic usage of panels and dialog. It really keeps getting better! :)

Dead Fingers is YET another one of my TO CHECK list :) Absolutely love the colors - the sepias and the purples. Plus, you can't go wrong with a title like that! Except it's begging for a Saw-style logo, with letters made of… well… dead fingers ;)

A Bit Cheesy updated today:

And finally it happened: Mick and The Girl met, face to face. Kind of, at least. Go see what happened!

That's "Salvation Army Strong." ;) Seriously, I did the crayons (or colored pencils?). Crayons make me happy. I love to see non-digital media of any kind – even if it is archival.

I got creative with the layout of the Used Books update today. It's a quiet, moonlit night on the river. Nice, no?

Compelling stuff there. The blurred borders are a nice touch to the drama.

Age of Ends: That eye in the last panel is awesome! I like the narration and your story really seems to be moving forward. :)

As I had commented on the actual comic page for George the Dragon, I had been missing out on reading this for some time. I finally caught up and am still smiling from the storyline and visuals. :D Check this comic out if you have not yet.

Pagan Zoetrope: "The Huggy Lovey type"

Pagan Zoetrope: Geez, that happened to me once… And that was the last time I drank coffee…

Inner Fear strikes with another page. This time, we find out that the long haired detective has a heart after all…

Posted at

I wish you had a link to inner fear in your signature!

After reading the first page… and then a couple more pages, I have to say I like how you try to make your characters a part of the background. In most webcomics (and I fear to say MY OWN) backgrounds usually end up as little objects to hint at where a character is or the characters are just talking heads in an empty void. Kudos on putting in that extra work!

————-

New Glimmer. It shows her birth… kind of. She's just a little baby sitting in a field as wild animals convene around her.

Glimmers's last page entry is pretty cool in it's montage like layout. I applaud your usage of watercolours in your work. I love the medium myself but haven't made the effort to put it to any good use, unlike you. :)

Pagan Zoetrope: What happens when you get a cup of coffee in the crotch.

Posted at

Pagan Zoetrope I love the strip, the characters and the pacing. But coffee to the crotch is definitely one of the highlights this time!

The Chronicles of Wyrden updates today with a definite tactical advantage to Blaze.

Blood Reign and Devil Jack is looking superb as usual. The latest pages of this comic just confirm what I've said many times before - Tim's artwork is among the best anywhere (print or web!)

And it's exciting, too. And funny. Damn, people, how much more do you want from a comic?!

******************************

The latest instalment of Shades sets up two new sequences. In one, we look in on our tempestuous teen, Ryan, who is about to get some very sage advice from WW2 fighter pilot, Doug. Now what could they possibly have to say to each other? Oooh, you'd be surprised!

Plus, we get to see our warrior queen, Boudicca, about to have a chat with two soldiers. You know … the type of chat that's likely to result in a few very nasty cuts and bruises!

Boudica (or Boadicea if you are a roman) is queen of all the Britains (since she is not dead in this comic, she is technically still queen, right?)! Those two soldiers should show some respect to the soveriegn!
The soldiers say shes bloody mental? Compared to Prince Philip she seems positively reasonable!
Basically, we've got an ancient warrrior queen driving around london in car with horses on the front, carrying a spear. Whats not to like about this?
Rule Britannia I say!
