How do you can laughter? Do you laugh into a can and quickly seal it. Or is can laughter merely the byproduct of laughter posing to be the real thing?

Canned laughter, simply put, is laughter contained in a can. Unlike natural laughter, which is brought about only by genuine comedy, canned laughter is mass-produced by factories, where manufacturers obtain laughter by torturing their literally captive audiences with hackneyed humor and automated tickling mechanisms (This method, though inhumane and illegal, is very cost-effective). After the laughter has been extracted, they're put in cans* and sold (usually wholesale) to producers of sitcoms unable to amuse a live studio audience. Though the demand for canned laughter has greatly decreased–due to the recent proliferation of reality television–the cost of it is now cheaper than ever, which is great news for the majority of mind-numbing tween sitcoms.

*And only cans, because they're the only kind of containers that can properly preserve laughter so that they don't become as stale as the humor it's supposed to make seem funny.

Even in TD High, you learn something new every day.

I like this school so much better than my real one. Even though all the assignments I have to turn in for one class is videos. They aren't going to be fun videos. I have to videotape myself doing assessments on children.
