I was takin' my pills this morning, and one of 'em fell into my coffee and dissolved. I'm wonderin' if I'll get the same dosage if I just drink my coffee (which is what I'm doin' now), or if should I take another pill. It's 100mg of a 250mg dosage- so while that's a lot to add on if I am gettin' the medicine, it's also a lot to lose if I'm not. I'm pretty sure it ain't gonna kill me ei9ther way, but guess I'll just play if safe(er) and not take another one.

I got a new edition of Paint.Net [3.3.6] installed this morning and it is working without apparent difficulties with my VISTA operating system. In fact the program upgraded the old Paint.Net program [which I haven't used in years] without any problem at all. Hurrah! Yay me! Now all I have to do is dredge up the motivation to produce a cartoon strip or comic book again. Boooo! Hiss! Go fishing instead!

I still don't know why GIMP refused to work with my VISTA operating system anymore. In a day or two I might hike over to the GIMP Guru board and ask one of the BRAINS if they know what went wrong with the upgrade procedure and how to fix things. I do, after all, still have tons of old cartoon strips saved in the native GIMP format and it would be nice to be able to work with those originals if I want to again.

Paint.net is OK, I guess, and it does have a levels feature and it is freeware, but it looks and feels so amateurish in comparison to my features rich and mind-boggling complex and sophisticated GIMP freeware graphics package. I felt like I needed a technician's certificate to utilize THE GIMP to anything approaching its real potential. On the other hand, I feel like all I need to do to use PAINT.Net is offer it a sleazy leer and a promise of a good time at a beach resort. 8D

I dunno, I guess I feel like I am being unfaithful to THE GIMP or something. Unfaithful to a software package? Huh! Us artists are weird! Well, I am anyway.

well, i had to call the cops last night.

my ma had just turned in to go to sleep and i was about to do the same.well this rhythmic banging started downstairs. [my apartment's on top of a garage.]every few minutes there'd be two hard solid, delibrate bangs in a row. "BANG BANG!" not gun shot bangs, but loud slamming bangs like someone was hitting a wall as hard as they could. i didnt really pay much attention to it at first, but i've been living here nearly 3 years and NEVER heard anything like that before. after a while it sped up, two bangs every half minute of so. i put my ear to the floor and i heard shuffling.

i made some noise a few times and when i did, it'd stop for about 5 minutes or so then started up again, but not as frequent.a minute or two between every two sounds. it kept up for about an hour. finally i called the cops, they checked around and didnt find anything and after they left it didnt happen again.

i realize that houses make noises, but i've NEVER heard anything like this. and it'd react to noise. if anything i guess it'd be a prank by some kids. i settled down about it n put my baseball bat away. havent heard it again.

calisthenics, running/swimming are the best way to burn fat. as far as weight lifting goes, too much of that, and it actually decreases your muscle endurance.

i only ran it in 15 minutes. and now i have legitimate reason to be mad at myself. wesdneday i was off by 3 seconds, but a full minute? unacceptable. and it's not like i got tired out, i started out slow, not pushing myself…which is what i'm ticked off about most. my miles, were near as slow as 2 weeks ago. and i know i can do it faster….sigh. i'm going to spend all next week rerunning the 2 miles…cause i know 3 is going to kill me when the time comes…

Maaaaaaaan I need to start inkin' or I won't get my page done by the end of the day. But I left the TiVo on, and it cut back to live TV, and… "Flapjack" was on. I can't resist that show. It's frickin' brilliant.

Wait. TiVo. Duh. I can just tape it. Nevermind.

I'm a damn moron sometimes.

Flapjack is the greatest. I want to have a candy wife.

I feel a little better, I guess. I keep doing that retarded thing where for a moment I forget that my roommate isn't speaking to me and I'm all like, "Hey! How was your day?" and then she ignores me and I feel dumb : (. I feel like I'm in seventh grade again, late at night in bed suddenly thinking of all the things I should have said.

But Max has been being really sweet to me, even indulging in my demand that I spend nearly every waking moment watching movies. (Unfortunately haven't seen any truly good ones… ANY MOVIE RECOMMENDATIONS ARE WELCOME… ESPECIALLY the "watch instantly" netflix ones…)

Last night we watched "The Derby Stallion", a TV movie starring a young, adorably gap-toothed Zac Efron, and it was HORRIBLE, but it was so bad that it made me think that Zac Efron must have some keen sense of humility; it was kind of like watching someone awesome getting picked on in high school. (also it had some really inexplicably hilarious lines, including when old man Houston calls his dog "Leonard, you ole liar," and then it cuts to a five second closeup of the dog looking betrayed.) Wow, why am I writing so much?

My spanish prof. is having a party at his house today; maybe I'll drink my sorrows away.

Actually, I don't think I'll go. Parties freak me out.

It's okay to cheat on THE GIMP; he even enjoys it if you make him watch.

My mom is totally into the fear swine flu thing now, no thanks to typical 'you are going to die' attitude from CNN. I was going to set up an appointment with the health department and she's like:
'maybee you should wait a few months sweetie, that place is filled with mexicans you kno 0w0'

Tomorrow she's going to a cinco de mayo party down in phoenix were they're doing a pig roast. No seriously, lol irony

stuff about her mom going into fear mode of swine flu.
Maybe you should show her that no one outside of mexico has died from it other than that one other guy who died who turned out to be mexican.

It appears that the safe people are those who are not mexican.

That happened to me a while ago…it fell into my mom's cereal. I wasn't sure what else to do, and my mom wasn't in the room, so I just plunged my hands in and fished it out. It was pretty lucky that I got it, actually.

Either I walk funny(more on one side?) or I did something to my right calf, it hurts almost unbearably when I try to walk fast and we're doing power walking in gym…it's not a good situation. It makes me look all out of shape when I fall back behind everyone else when I'm not really tired in the least. :(

yes, I should go to the gym too. I've… gained weight.. probably more than the scale tells me because I haven't been exercising, other than yoga. (but why must pizza be so delicious?!)
And TV shows like the Biggest Loser make me think, 'well I'm not nearly that fat, I can eat whatever I want!' hehh.

Well, according to my Physical Science teacher (which is like, half Chemistry, half Physics), he doesn't think it's going to turn into an epidemic. It's just the media going crazy about it or something.

I could care less, to be honest. I've got more important things to worry about.

Liiiike learning how to use my Pentel Pocket Brush Pen properly. So I think I'll draw some sketches up (already have a few ready to ink) and I'll just practice like that.

Oh, and my mom is awesome. She bought me some healthy food when we went grocery shopping. I got raisins, and Quakes. Which are like, chips, but like, made with rice. Well, so they're not like chips really. You understand though, right!?!

Tonight I'll do some weight lifting, even though it can't really be considered that, since it's only two dumbells -_-. But I think I'm doing pretty good, considering I have like, nothing else!

And then pencil tons of pages.
Like, 5 million.
Wait. Not that much.
Try like, 20.
Maybe.

But yeah. I feel pretty good today.

And about the whole taking breaks thing, that actually is a good idea. I realize my stomach is already smaller. I probably haven't lost any weight, but I actually just wanted to build muscle anyway.

I'm starting to look good! Woo!

Yeah I like to slap the GIMP around and get a little dirty with it. You gotta show graphics packages who's the boss and the dominant personality . . . unfortunately they usually figure out that it's not me!

It looks like I may have a problem figuring out how to create dialogue balloons with Paint.net. We shall see.

Oh my god I just put some of my mom's salsa over my scrambled eggs- best thing i've ever why didn't i do this soner om nom nooom
Her salsa is amazing though, won a little award locally for it too. I keep telling her she should sell it but she won't, even though pretty much everyone that's had it thinks it's one of the best salsa's they've ever had.

Also I'm not sure if it's a side effect of my new fitness agenda or what but this turned my legs into jelly:

1.) Ha! Talk to me in ten years, Puff. I still have those weird revelatory moments when I realise I'm not seventeen. huh!?

2.) All this weight loss/ exercise talk is makin' me feel like crap. Not sayin' y'all shouldn't talk about it just 'cause it bothers me. Carry on!

3.) I wanna hit up the local shop for free comic book day, except that would mean leavin' the house. Also because I never go in there (no money) I feel bad for just comin' for free stuff.

After almost 3 years of faithful service and two weeks of suffering, my laptop has died. T-T I'm getting a back up from a nice family member, but I won't have photoshop. It just won't be the same. Luckily, my laptop is under warranty and we are going to mail it in for repairs. I also managed to back up all my files on an external hard drive before it died. DX Exept for the homework I started yesterday! I'm just going to have to hope that I can coax my computer back to life for two minutes so I can get my home work off it.

I bet you are wondering how I'm online right now despite my troubles. The best thing about college is that there are computer labs everywhere.

Even better thing about college computer labs = they don't bother to check if you're actually a student. They just assume you wouldn't be in there if you're not supposed to be. >:)

If not for that, "The Hub" would still exist only in xerox zine style comics, distributed in very limited numbers to a very limited audience.

Well actually. In most of the labs around my campus, you need to card in. People also check to make sure you have an actual card. I should know, because I'm one of the ones that are supposed to check. I've given up now because the last time I tried to get rid of people without cards the laughed at me.

Since I work for housing, I can get into any housing computer lab with my ID card. Usually you have to check out a special card at the front desk to get in.

So guys, today is Free Comic Book Day!
I'm so excited, one of the comics they are giving away is a reprint of TMNT #1 (from the first volume, of course)

I won't be able to leave for about another hour, because the comic store around here's hours are ridiculous. I don't remember if it was 12 or 1 it opened, but whatevs.

I just finished getting ready, and I'm feeling great. I got to catch up on sleep, and I'm going to draw until we leave.

And I got some very strange text messages last night, from someone claiming to be this girl from my 5th hour. Probably trying to mess with my head or somethin'. I don't care. I don't like the girl anyway, I just think it's a little disturbing what they're puttin in them.
