Thank you, Rengishi, for realising that your age is so important to us that you needed to tell us twice. I hope that it did not place too great a burden upon your young shoulders.

bieng older is over rated,I'm 12
Yes, you already said that, dear. huh!?

***
I use the computer lab at the art school (and their badass 16x24" scanner!), and it doesn't card. I think most of the other ones (save a few "public access" computers in the library) do require a student ID to log in though.

I think these new pages are taking so long to ink because of the added backgrounds. :( But damn, do they look 200% better!

It's all bas-ackwards.

Old people want to be young again.
And young people want to be old.

Being older isn't necessarily over-rated, considering all of privilages and responsibilities you have.

Such as, you can drive a car. You can get a job, and well. Um. That's about it. There's a lot of other stuff i'm forgetting too.

Believe me, when I was 12, I just wanted to hurry up, and grow up. People don't take you seriously as a kid.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, WHOA.
16x24"?!?!?!
Mine's like, 8 1/2x10" or something. But that's crazy awesome. I wish my scanner was that big, then I would most definitely use bristol. That's all that's really holding me back.
That, and lack of money to pay for it XD

But yeah, I remember when I started adding backgrounds. It does make a world of difference.

And I just came back from Free Comic Book Day. Got the Reprint of the Turtles, The Avengers, and that one Sonic timeline thing. The Sonic one is kind of lame to be honest, but the Turtles one…jeez.

I found out that they're making "Volumes" now of the old comic. I was just talking about that yesterday with somebody. That's also crazy awesome.

There's an oxymoron if I've ever saw one while misunderstanding the actual meaning of oxymoron.

Mwahahahahaha! I am the MASTER of THE GIMP!

Sigh! That is to say that I went back to an older version of my Gimp graphics software package and managed to reinstall that and make it run for me. So it's just the newest, latest version that won't play nice with my VISTA operating system. Well, for now I can live with that.

Truth to tell I rediscovered that I did not feel good about the limitations of Paint.Net and so I'm happy that I am not going to be forced to work with that graphics package instead. I do eventually have to figure out WHY the newest versions of GIMP and VISTA won't co-exist but that is a mystery to be tackled and solved another day!

=================================

Oh, and for all you youngsters currently getting angst ridden about growing older, take it from a man in his fifties, most of you are accidentally on the right track as far as I can tell when it comes to dealing with getting older.

The physical secrets to getting older and dealing with the phenomenon, rather than having it own you, is to keep yourself fit through regular weight training AND stretching exercises. If you keep your body fit, strong, and flexible then IT will not realize that it's getting older and therefore, as a result, YOU will feel a great deal better about the process. If you do all that and keep your weight under control as you age then, generally speaking, you will feel much younger than you are.

Now we all know that there are exceptions to everything where humans are concerned. I KNOW that what I wrote does not apply to everyone. It's just a general rule of thumb, okay?

Ryu: Well, it's like a $8K+ scanner in an art college lab. I could never afford to own something like that! I can't even spring for an 8x11" scanner.

Hyena's "Perks of being older":

-You can go to bars (not just for drinkin', but for shows and stuff).
-You can go to bars for drinkin'.
-You can go to strip clubs and purchase "adult" books(if you're, uh… into that).
-You can rent cars.
-You can get tattoos and piercings (and not just from a sketchy shop that will probably mess your skin up and give you Hepatitis) without a parent's signature.
-You are automatically validated when arguing with children.
-You can totally take those children in a fight. Seriously, I'd like to see the 12 year old who could last more than a minute in the ring with me.
-You have better sex.
-You don't have to live with your parents.

I'm sure the "not-Perks" list is longer, but let's think positive!

Spring is my all time favourite season! The best part is when my face swells up like a balloon whenever I go outside because of my hayfever. Yaaaaaaaay!

Edit: Oh well, at least the other morons on my corridor haven't stopped arguing right outside my door. That always cheers me up. I don't mean that in a sarcastic way either, it's like a hilarious real life soap opera.

I was watching this documentary about iran's body issues thanks to western media on current channel, apparently it's trendy to get a nose job so much that wearing tape over the nose is faked for looks. Arnold Schwarzenegger is also still popular over there and gyms are devoted to him since he came to America and became a big movie star barely knowing english. It was kinda funny and kinda sad that when the asked, all the guys in the gym said they liked (ideal)american women, one was like; "they ara..sport bodies and hava blue eyes, also dey hava the golden hairs. is nice". I guess everyone loves Aryans.

I like the current channel though, i never really know what the hell is going to come on or that i would be interested in learning about skydiving marriages or workout reviews by hipsters.

Heh, real "Aryans" were darker skinned, black haired and brown eyed. :)

It's sad that Western media has exported that stupid blonde, blue eyed beauty stereotype. Maybe when China finally becomes the dominant power the beauty archetype will change to be something quite different? That'd be a nice change. :)

Went out for lunch today with my friend, my favourite restaurant finally finished building its grocery store and reopened. Had some delicious food. Then went and got my free comic. Nice day. I have homework though, which I don't want to do at all.

I thought that the Asian woman craze had already started. I'm always seeing a show or a movie where some guy is going ballistics over a petite little Asian girl.

Call me weird but I never understood what's so attractive about the typical Asian woman. Of course every once in a while I see a really attractive looking one but those times really don't outnumber the times I've seen an attractive black woman or a Latino woman. As a matter of fact, I may consider the average black woman more attractive then an Asian. So far all of love interests have been white.

That's not the same thing. In that case you just have a gimmick. It's a novelty… an "exotic" change. -_-

The difference is that those Asian countries aren't setting the standard, that's "Asian" beauty from a Western perspective. The beauty archetype is unchanged, it's still the northern European look made famous by Hollywood.

Think of it in terms of Barbie dolls:
Now they have Indian, dark skinned, and east Asian Barbies, but they're still just a sideline. Blonde blue eyed Barbie is the standard, she IS the Barbie.

For this to change you don't look to the stupid Barbie novelty dolls, you look for a whole new Chinese looking doll line from a different manufacturer to displace the Barbie doll line altogether. ;)

-That's just an analogy. I'm not being literal.

Mmm, asian men looking like women (with enough makeup etc) :D

Wait, why is everyone staring at me? :P

After few days of not writing I'm back on track. 9 pages done today, 92 pages total. I'm predicting another 20-40 pages until the end of the second book script.

I'm hoping I can dig myself out of financial difficulties to the point where I can finally get the first book printed. Then I can go on with drawing book 2 and hopefully writing book 3. And drawing other projects too. There's sooo much stories to tell :(

I don't have any racial or ethnic preferences; My aesthetics are more, uh, curve-related. But the sleaze precedent has yet to be set on this particular subject, so I am inclined not to take it any further than that. ;)

free comic book day, huh? Before these things get across the ocean they pick up an actual price tag along the way (somewhere between 2.50-3$). Thus, no free comics for me today. Unless you mean webcomics, but it's Free (web)Comic Book Day EVERYDAY :D

that reminds me, i hate the webcomics where you have to subscribe to a fee to actually look at the comic.

i don't know what's going on, the outside looks kinda cool, but i don't know what's inside, now i've lost interest.

Oh man, I am so embarassed. I was talking with my parents about Fun Dips and I accidentally said "dick" instead of "stick." And they didn't just ignore it either! My mom was like "Your daughter is so rude!" and so on.

I'm done with color and only have one more project in art class which is good, but it's also i hard one i've been avoiding. Ah well time to get back to work
