K-On wasn't really that good at all to be honest, it lost its charm at around the forth episode. But the figurines just make me want to HNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGG. The guitars are ridiculously detailed and shit.

The only reason i watched k-on was because Mio looked a lot like Yomi from Ga-rei, but yeah i agree it got kinda stale after a few episodes. But the show is nice to look at if i avoid any anime board 'discussions' about it.

Apparently one of my uncles died last night. He'd just stopped to check the load on his truck while he was coming home. He had a heart attack and died instantly… he wasn't that old either, just in his early 60's I last saw him at my Grandmother's funeral in March, he looked quite healthy and hale then, although he was getting a bit of a beer belly.
So R.I.P Paul Wonbon. He was a fantastic guy, always good humoured and really with a genuinely friendly grin and a hearty laugh. One of the nicest people, it was always great to see him again. It was good to meet the aboriginal side of the family at my grandmother's funeral. Hopefully I'll talk to them again when we go to Paul's.

——————————-
And today I got myself a nice black leather jacket with various zips and things. a nice small, tight fit, so I can join Hyena and Pit Face in a little gang.

People over here keep feeding me so much! But they also leave out boxes of biscuits and don't look at me disgustedly when I eat tons, so that's pretty cool.

Also, I just noticed that I don't get ads on DD over here! It's not my computer so it might be some magical no-ad setting I don't know about, but it's neat.

Most of the ads that come up for me are things like UNICEF, fatherhood initiative, Bootsup.org, Adoptakid.org

Jeebus… It's like the ad server thinks I'm some kind of philanthropist humanist paternal figure that wants to look after people or something…

Those are what I get at home, too. Pretty much exactly the same, actually.

There's a little girl at the top of my page waving two sticks of broccoli in the air with a load of spanish text. Maybe she's trying to sell me some broccoli - I just don't know. :(

My friend, welcome to the terror that is sleep paralysis. It happens to me pretty often and let me tell you, it's just as awful the 40th time as the 4th. You need to internalize that the thing to do is just relax and go back to sleep, but it's pretty hard to do because you're not thinking that way at the time- mostly because there's usually this sense of impending doom and you can avoid it if you can just wake up.

When you get the hallucinations, it's super fun. :)

AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!

F**k the girly figurines, I want a couple of those to go with my Chicle fetus statue.

I literally just passed out last night around 6. Apparently my sister's boyfriend went to wake me up and even resorted to punching me in the shoulder to try and wake me up. He's a firefighter, so he's pretty freakin' well-muscled and I didn't even move. I don't have a bruise from it either. I guess that's my body's way of saying I need more sleep. I was getting 4 hours a night, and I didn't feel tired, but I guess I've gotten too used to not sleeping or something.

Holy crap. I just realized that the printer I've had for over 6 months outperforms my old flatbed scanner by about 6 times. I've been scanning things at a max of 600 DPI until now. This thing can do 19200. I know that's total overkill, and I don't even think my laptop could handle it, but I've been chaffing at the bit trying to get things as big as I want.

I also got myself a new airbrush. Now I can paint anywhere, and say goodbye to expensive cans when I'm just doing small stencils and stuff.

The stores where I live used to sell nice, soft, thick mousepads in many designs. Now they're all these thin, crappy things that you're lucky to find one of much less find in more than one color. Yeah, because no one uses mousepads anymore. >_>

sleep paralysis, isn't that related to narcolepsy ??, all of my family (core family) haa experienced it at least once in their lives but not me , and honestly hope to never experience it.

I think it might be, but I get the impression most people have an 'episode' at least once or twice in their lives. I'm pretty sure it can also happen when you're stressed out and have bad sleep patterns.

I've had the opsite problem before when i oversleep, my body is energized and fine but my brain is like 'fuk u…i dun hafta wake up….bich…..zzzzzzz' so i waste like 20 minutes trying to wake up

I wasn't going to start up my new comic til' wednesday but couldn't contain my excitement. I feel kinda bad though, because compared to my other short stories this one is pretty dumb/silly, but the other stories also take a lot out of me and i can't seem to finish them :/

Maybe i should just script the other stories and get an artist to work with me.

…..wait i've said that before. Well gorsh then maybe i should >:0

just think of it this way:
they attribute people who said they were abducted from their beds, while sleeping, to sleep paralysis. because your body itself is still in sleep mode, and your brain is half in sleep mode. in most cases, the dream will continue into the "real world" freaking you right the f*ck out.
———-

but yeah with mine, i shoulda been clearer, i'm still able to get up for work related items such as 3 day a week mando-pt, or actual work. but saturday, sunday, when i dont have to be up, my body just refuses to get up. and also on wednesday and thursdays, when i dont have to be up till much later, than normal.

it's all like "frack you, i deserve sleep, because i never know when it's going to be taken from me for 2 weeks" but my mind just continues running, which just makes me more tired.

ugh… narcalepsy… I think I may have that given the nature of my job…
Suprisingly it hasn't affected my ability to drive. Or maybe the fact that
I drive home with the sun shining directly in my face may have something to
do with that…

Now I'm tempted to try making a similarly themed comic like Skullbie's…
except I may really play it for comedy. Say… Nearsighted Cupid somehow
hits a woman instead of his intended male target to help out a girl…

I had a severe migraine this morning, so bad I couldn't go to work. It was evil.

Sleep para-whatsit…

Haha, I get that sometimes. I always think it's great :)
The thing is it's SO surreal, you know you're awake but you can't really do anything, and because you're not really truly awake you get dreamlike influences affecting you. Those would normally be quite benign and fun when you're really asleep and dreaming, but now they become freaky, bizarre and scary because they directly overlay "reality" this time to your fully aware and awake brain- which makes it all seem 100% real and utterly convincing.

It's scary, but it's also pretty magical just because it's so real. So I treasure the experiences.
It'd be so easy to brainwash someone while they were in that state.

So I feel awesome. I definitely woke up at 6 AM this morning. I already finished penciling a page for Ryu's Krew. I just gotta ink it and stuff. Which I'm gonna wait to do. But now I think I'll scan in the pages I already have done, and get to work on editing them so I can upload them. :3

I won't have the layout done in time for the uploading. But whatever.

The sleep paralysis is one thing and harmless if you have trained your mind to realize you're asleep. Hypnopompic/hypnogogic hallucinations are the ones that accompany sleep paraylsis and cause the problems. They are hallucinations set up by the brain akin to REM sleep when you are awake which can occur after being awake more than 72 hours. There is the sense of presence often of a grey or dark being, the feeling of being suffocated (part of sleep paralysis) It is often referred to as so-called Old Hag phenomenon and is even part of the alien abduction experience.

Once you know what something is, experincing is much less of a probelm.

Twelve hour shifts suck. Mountain Dew and Pepsi rock. Coffee only goes so far and overheats me when it is over 80 degrees out with that wonderful NJ humidity. However with the patio open again at work I go outside and listen to the surf and watch the skies. It's been cloudy lately; that accompanies the humidity, but I always see Venus (pretty sure it's Venus)

Sunday I saw what 90% of people would have labeled a UFO. It was a bright light hovering and shimmering. So bright. Then it vanished! Well not really, the Coast Guard helicopter had turned off the searchlight, turned and the dim running lights were now visible. The red blinking light on the tail was noticably higher than the forward light. Helicopter.

Once I learned how to identify such things life became so much more interesting. Figuring out mysteries keeps the mind sharp.
