Why are webcartoonists so sensitive?

So what if someone is critical of or doesn't like your webcomic?

I know you think your webcomic is awesome and everyone else should feel the same way, but the fact is, people have the right to choose what they like.

I make my webcomic because it's something I would want to read. I'm glad that others enjoy it, but I'm not gonna fret over those that don't. Mini rant over.

Granted, I realize I have a Sore Loser awards banner in my sig so I may seem like a hypocrite… But still. Make your comic and move on.

i suppose it doesnt feel nice to find peole crapping on something you made and felt good about. but yer right,people can get too sensative about it.

i've been seeing Putrid Meat mentioned in alot of "horrible webcomic' discussions lately when i google the name but in a way i gotta say…i kinda like it!haha! and i know for every bad crit i get, i have uncountable good ones commin at me. i know that's not the case for everyone who gets knocks on their comic, but for those who do, it's good to remember that.

Oy vey. I don't want to go to work- I'd rather stay home and draw. Been gettin' a lot of work done lately and I think I'm on the brink of gettin' back into the swing of it.

And work isn't tempting considering the paltry tips I've been making lately. Third job, here I come. :mad:

On the bright side I've done really well with drinking less- still haven't gone a week straight yet, but it's not every day lately either.

That's what SKool meant :)

No it's not. Yes cats hunt small animals, but larger animals in turn hunt them. They're in the middle of the food chain. They need to hide pain and hurt from those animals that would kill them. Evolutionary speaking, prey animals that show weakness don't last long.

after a ton of ass-hattery today, i'm taking my wife home to indiana for a couple days.give her a little bit of time with her grandfather before he's gone. i can't believe it was like pulling teeth. i mean, i have nothing outside of office work until thursday. and other stuff, plus half of it's over a weekend.

it's not considered an emergency, because it's a grandparent. it has to be related within arms reach (ie: mother, daughter, sister type) so it took ass-hattery to solve the problem. but i have a new found respect for my flight commander.

So I played about an hour of basketball earlier, and my ankle kills.
I was able to turn down a bowl of mac and cheese not too long ago, which is definitely a guilty pleasure of mine. So I'm pretty happy (calories/carbs at night = no good).

And I'm totally going for the hot latina chick in my 6th hour. She looked at me. and I was all like, "8D".
I'm pretty much the funny guy of the class. Everybody like, laughs and stuff. And I totally impress the ladies.

Except for this one…who appears to have a ton of sand in her vagina.
And no, I'm not kidding.
She probably does have that.
…probably.

sorry, it's fixed. ass-hattery. wearing an ass as a hat. normally used when someone is pulling shananigens. acts of complete stupidity that should be much easier to accomplish.

I just spent the last three hours driving up to my alma mater to meet someone, not seeing them around, didn't feel like waiting until 9:30 to see if they came out of a class, and drove back angrily.

Let me remind you that it is a 30-minute drive to get there from where I live, so I drove an hour and wasted gasoline and time waiting for someone when I could have better spent that time working on comics or jerking off. Anything other than driving back and forth for no reason at all.

Inks… finished… argh.

Me and my "hey wuuldn't it be cool if I did THIS kind of an ending panel and drew it in a fashion that requires a nice one-point perspective grid to pull it off and a bucketload of lines and angles" idea.
Took me about 3 hours to do the upper half of the page… and another 12 or so hours to do the last panel. ARGH!

Still, it looks damn good so I can't complain much :D

Now to just color and letter this thing.

Okay so i'm supposed to call up my childhood friend tomorrow, not only has she started living here in AZ but she's now going to my college (which i don't get why she was at CSU before) I'm so nervous though, getting together with old friends is very scary for me because they always turn out so good/popular/attractive/ambitious while i'm just like….-_-

How the fuck did a dreary moon like me get surrounded by so many suns?

Ugh… I found a book in the world of Elder Scrolls: Oblivion that I wish I had never read. And it's sitting in the bed of my character's Pirate Ship headquarters underneath Anvil Castle. It's titled "The Lusty Argonian Maid"… There's this lizardfolk maid, her master, and this spear that he wants her to polish… and I'll stop right there. (I probably said too much already).

I don't wanna work tonight. I really don't. To be more accurate, I don't want to leave my house. However, I gotta do it. Otherwise power and water will stop flowing into my house, my connection to the internet will be cut, and I'll starve to death. Not a pleasant thought. I guess I'll just relax for the few remaining hours of freedom I have before taking on the weekly grind.

I'm a single man again. And not a whole lot has changed really. The girlfriend and I broke it off on a mutual agreement. Since she's living at home and is dependent on her parents for housing, food, school, insurance, etc. and her mother was starting to go kind of crazy on the whole "doesn't like him" thing, we just kind of decided to call off until she's calmed down and not tweaking out over it. Seeing as how I'm barely supporting myself, it wouldn't be smart to go getting her kicked out when she's not able to fully support herself at the moment either.

Funny thing is, we really end up acting more or less the same when talking to each other and whatnot. Dunno if you could qualify that as good, bad or just unimportant.

But, now I have plenty of extra time to paint, carve and do other stuff. If my current rate of productivity continues, I'm going to run out of wall space to hang things on.

edit: And now apparently I'm getting a piranha plant plushie pillow from her.

Hm, some idle thoughts…

Yay, the first day of school is finally past! Not yay, I already have homework! Damn you, college preparatory school!

Thank God I switched to a one day a week schedule again. I have barely any time to build up a buffer with Tennis and honors classes. Part of me wants to keep it… It's so much easier but it's sooo slow…

I don't want to sign on AIM… this girl who annoys me always messages me right away about her new high school drama: This guy she loves, this other guy she loves, this other OTHER guy she loves, and her creepy-ass sex life. I also don't want to hear her lecture me on being close minded because I won't let any ol'guy get into my pants. "It's completely natural!" I don't care, you dumb broad! I'm 15 years old!

I wonder if I should get my homework done early… Probably after I finish my comic. So, as late as possible.

Yay, my daddy's home! Oh wait, that's some guy on the tv.

I hate being shouted at for rubbish reasons

Somehow Iâ€™m afraid I will come out sounding like another spoilt teenager complaining about nothing but why do I always get shouted at so much for not doing dishes? Dishes of all things! I mean, itâ€™s not like I mind washing them (we have no dishwasher) but because I donâ€™t have the wonderful gift of telepathy I canâ€™t follow the super-special dish-washing schedule that my mom expects to be done yet never tells me about. And then what follows after is a shout-fest that feels like having your nails pulled out - something Iâ€™ve can vaguely attest to as Iâ€™ve encountered it, to a degree, when my fingers got slammed by a door.

And this has been going on for the last few years! Like I said, I donâ€™t care about actually doing them and I am starting to figure out some patterns to The Mysterious Ever-Changing Schedule but why am I the only one being told off? My sister is the same age as I was when this started and sheâ€™s the one whoâ€™ll go â€œUgh, later. Tomorrow.â€ if you tell her to yet somehow itâ€™s always MY fault. Again I repeat: Dishes!?! The way she was going on youâ€™d think Iâ€™ve done something serious likeâ€¦ I donâ€™t know actually! Started drugs or something, maybe?

Actually psychic abilities are very expected of me it seems. Today it was a nice day and I went out after breakfast attempting to find a new watch. Somehow it took hours and I failed. When I get home I get dragged off to Ikea and dragged back with half a table under my arm at about 9pm (ie, whole day spent meandering about shops). Then I have the audacity to mention I was hungry. â€œWell you should have cooked something! You should have predicted the way this day would turn out by contacting the spirit realm and done everything before leaving. Why are the dished dirty?!!!!!!!1one!!â€

The show "Destroyed in Seconds" can be freaky sometimes… especially that part where they showed my home during a supertyphoon… we got one crazy weatherlady…
