Get the Coat

it is fashionable, and can be used more than for halloween (which is why this is the best costume idea i've ever had)
i just don't like the idea of dropping 700 dollars in one set, without getting something awesome. in fact, other than cars, i don't think i've ever done that.
———–

ran an average mile today. i was hoping for faster.
the swim was horrible. i haven't been in the pool for a week and a half and i felt it. i tried to time it, when i finished the clock said "6:41" i was like "no way, i must have skipped a few laps" (9:37 is my current personal record) then i saw the watch wasn't changing. it meant 6:41 AM. i hadn't started the watch. :(

Well, the dog (Sallie) seems somewhat traumatized. She's shivering all over and keeping her tail between her legs. She recognized me but wouldn't lick me and resists being led anywhere. She refused to eat or lie down until everyone left and isn't barking to greet anyone. I think she'll be better in a few days. She isn't hurt or sick and has a full belly.

I learned a little bit more about her mysterious disappearance. My neighbor came over and told me about how she came to return. My neighbor's poodle was barking up a storm, and then she hear barking on the porch that sounded like Sallie. They saw that it was in fact, my wayward hound and tied her to their porch where she lay down and rested without a sound until my dad was leaving for work. My neighbor called dad to retrieve her. Someone had put a bright orange collar on her, and she was obviously fed. (We removed the collar and put her green one back on, complete with her license).

Since Sallie's a foster, I wouldn't mind giving her to a new owner if they were a good home, but with how she's acting and the fact that she came back, I have to wonder if it was a good home for her.

Anyway, I am thinking of building a kennel for her so she won't get loose again. We priced kennels today. I hate to think of her getting loose again and getting hurt.

That is wonderful news :D! I remember reading about you losing your puppy. I'm glad she's back :).

So Derren Brown is doing this thing where he's trying to control the nation using a film or a series of films or something.

The first one he played this weird line thing and kept going on and on about how you'll be glued to your seat, aaaaaaand it didn't work. It didn't even work on the live audience he had there with him, the majority of people stood up straight away.

I know how he did it, as well. It's the same sort of thing as that trick where you get your arms to float.

Uhg. Still feeling dizzy and… weird. Weird symptoms- or rather, my body's doing/feeling unusual things; muscle twitches in my jaw, trying to burp but I can't. Shit like that. But my arms' fine, so maybe that was indeed related to my leaning on it as I draw. I'm a paranoid as it is, so I don't know how much is psychosomatic, or me focusing on every tiny thing and blowing it out of proportion. Shit. Shit. Shit. I wish i felt normal. I'd give anything to just feel normal. It scares me.

I got a dog from the Humane Society today. He's a black and white Lab/Spaniel mix. He was named Nicky, but I changed it to Apollo. It just kinda fits him.

He's so amazing. And it just kinda filled the void, you know? I mean, he'll never be Rocky, but, he can have his own place in our family.

It's hard to believe that we saved his life. Considering he kind of saved ours. I don't know how much longer I could've stood without having a dog.

He's just so cute! (no homo, guise)

Now off to scripting…

…and more petting.

Okay, something good from me (for once): I go to check my stats for my comic, when what should I see but this.

when the light turns green, and suddenly you hear their music over your own, you know a challenge has been issued. the hardest part is letting them think they're keeping up. foot to the floor and i woulda been gone, instead i kept it nose to nos…e. in second. finally i got tired, shifted to third and i was gone.

So my "rant."
In my digital art class, I finish all the work, then make comics, then fool around online (drunkduck), then harass my friends in that class. It's going good.

That's my rant, too…I'm in digital multimedia, already a couple assignments ahead of most people with nothing to do.
And I have to be real sneaky about messing around on DD…it's not really allowed…
Oh, I'm not allowed to either, but since, I'm helping the teacher out some when she has photoshop, troubles, she doesn't care much.

So I added a whole new sheepskin cover to my busby, right over the top of the old one, gave it a badge and a silver aiguillette. It's huge and awesome now. Very fluffy too. Definitely in the French style.

Fricken massive hat. SOoooooooooo heavy to wear though, it hurts my neck :(

It does a bit, doesn't it? ;)

My new improved Frenchified busby makes my big furry Cossack hat look teeny and pathetic :(

Just got into my new room, it's weird how similar it is to the old one. Not just the room either, but the toilet and even the general shape of the corridor are the same. It's kind of a pain because I keep leaning back in my chair, expecting the back rest to swivel like my old one did, but it doesn't and now my back hurts.

I think I left my inhaler behind though. This might be a problem, as I'm finding increasingly difficult to breathe.

Edit: It sure is noisy around here, considering that this building is supposed to be empty.

f**king assbite.

I don't mind doing papers, but I can't stand it when a prof gives a research paper 3 days before it's due. And that alone actually might be manageable, except for the fact that this paper isn't even the actual paper. It's a f**king argument for why we should be allowed to write about the research topic we've picked. Another words, he's going to make me f**k off 4 or 5 hours, researching ( Oh yes, I have to research this, and present my research for it and the actual paper along with this. ) and writing a 6 page paper, just to tell him why we should have the precious privilege of arguing why something was important. I can't stand having my time pissed away on crap like this when I have more important work to be doing. I could tell him what I'm writing on and why it's important in a paragraph or less. Hell, that's what the actual research paper is for. This is of course on top of the other 4 page paper he assigned us that's also due the same day.

What is it with academics that it seems like they've completely forgotten what it was like to put up with this pointless shit? I can suck it up and just ignore extra work, but this just seems to be purposely designed to waste my time.

One of these days I need to go visit the new "flea market". I stopped visiting those places when the old one was shut down. For some odd reason the old one's dirt roads and 3rd world country look appealed to me. The newer one (it was put up years ago, but I still consider it "new" ) is on a large paved lot, but it's not as great as the old one (nor as large). I should still go check the place out. I was thinking of selling some of my old stuff there, but my neighbor told me to sell ANYTHING anywhere I have to have a business license. I should probably check with the proper authorities about this though since my neighbor doesn't know how the whole thing works in the first place.

goes into slightly insane mode for a moment
Couldn't catch any Custart Trout. Those things know how to manipulate the bait off the hook without the fisherman realizing it… The Ozoneocean it's been swimming in must have something to do with its intelligence. Oh well… At least it's safer than catching Skoolmunkees (nearly got beaten to death with one… it was wielding a clarinet)…

So I've been playing with the kitten with pencils…I would wiggle it around, and she'd try to bite/grab it. It turns out that was a dumb idea, because she kept attacking my homework today when I was writing. :P

So for halloween, my wife is going as my…Companion. lulz.

some of you may know how hard it is to get matching outfits. that aren't just generic, "doctor and nurse" "plug and outlet" etc. Mine is easy to assemble, but hers is going to be a tad bit harder. btw, i'm getting that coat. i like it. it'll be about a month before it gets here.
———-

i have just found out that some of the money in my emergency account has been "overdraft transfered out"

but the account it's set up to overdraft for, didn't recieve the extra money. and it doesn't say where it went. the bank is closed until monday. jerks.
————

edit edit.

i'm an idiot, it's cool, it was my emergency account, going into an account i thought was dead. which i've been writing checks for apparently

There are so many new books out, I could drop $300 tonight if I bought every book I needed to catch up on my reading.

Pft, who says reading is a cheap hobby?

Ever read trashy love novels and supermarket tabloids? I'd say reading was cheap, but only if you like reading cheap stories. :)

although that probably wouldn't apply to webcomics, most of which are free but are still a source of great "reading"…

For some reason my phone wouldn't let me call or text my partner yesterday night- nothing was going through. I'm sure I'm in trouble for this, as he'll naturally assume I was out all night getting shitfaced or something.

I should probably shower and stuff before I go out, but I really can't be arsed. I can probably cover the worst of it up with deodorant. Maybe. Hopefully.

Stupid DLA hall meeting nonsense. I hate going outside and I hate the way people insist on being around when I'm forced to go outside. Bah fucking humbug.

Still haven't finished unpacking. Caaaaaaaaaaaan't beeeeeeee aaaaaaaaaaaaarsed.
