Better than carting the poop. :)

———————-
I stubbed my toe…
Not a normal stubbing either: it was a middle toe! Folded under a grazed on limestone stairs. Jeebus it hurts. Blood all over the place. I'm going back to wearing shoes dammit. -_-

i know i'm late to the party, but that's not my fault.

even adults are being diagnosed with add. but in my opinion, the "symptoms" are just signs of the times….even now, i have 4 tabs open skimming each page, while chatting to the single friend i have awake on msn, while thinking about if i'm going to go to the gym or not this afternoon. and if i want cake for my birthday….you know, i dont like chocolate cake.
now i'm just typing what i'm thinking.

but yeah, i think it's signs of the times….everyone is just trying to cram as much information in their head, all at once. and alot of times, unless you find what you're studying to be what you're going ot do for a living or hobby, it's just not interesing enough to focus on, 50 minutes to an hour (in the case of school)

Man, I'm supposed to be driving to New Orleans like, now. But my partner's got a plague-like version of the flu, and is totally laid up. I keep hoping he'll get better "tomorrow", and it keeps not happening. Now I'm scared the trip ain't gonna happen. This on again/ off again shit is really messin' with my head. I'm not mad at him, 'cause it's not his fault. But still. It sucks.

Also I am so close to poppin' into the top 100. I know I wouldn't stay there for long, but I'd love for it to happen, just once. ;)

Today could not possibly get better!
This girl, that I really like, and she's like my best friend, came to school today (like she did yesterday) and we talked more!
In my 6th hour, which is Advanced Web Publishing, we have to do all of our work on Computers (duh!), but the system was done for the whole hour. And we had a substitute teacher. So he said we could watch the news, and or do our homework.

I only had economics homework, but only two sheets were due yesterday. Two out like, 7. I got all 7 finished. And they aren't due until sometime next week!

And my Pentel Pocket Brush Pen finally came in the mail! WOO!

No way I'm bothering to zoom in to read your tiny text :P

So, I've been writing like crazy. I wrote roughly half of the plot for the sequel of Din Krakatau and then did a U-Turn and ended up going through my old projects.

Result: I have finished plotting out a few hundred page graphic novel (which I still need to actually script, but finally all the major plot threads are connected and brought towards a clear conclusion). And I'm working on another project, a 300 page color graphic novel (split into 6 issues cause it's cheaper to print that way) and I've been scripting like frenzy, 100 pages of loose script in 4 days (plus revised the 50 pages already written). Now if I can keep the momentum through the remaining 150 pages, it'll be great.

In other news: there are currently no job offers where I live that I qualify for. Fun times.

We've had no water since I woke up this morning. It's pretty ridiculous.

Also, I presented my French speech today. Whenever there is something like this the teacher will ask for volunteers to go first and I get so, so nervous about this kind of presentation, so I usually postpone it as long as I can, but today I decided all of a sudden that I wanted to get it over with and PUT MY CRAZY HAND UP TO VOLUNTEER FOR FIRST. But as soon as I realized what I had done, I almost freaked out. I usually go crazy preparing for presentations, memorizing every word and even the hand gestures I will do, but I hadn't had time to do that this time.
Fortunately, just as I was about to start panicking, and probably try to back out my best friend whispered something to me that was really funny and made me feel a lot better…and when I got up there she mouthed it to me a couple more times. So I presented and did awesome. I'm actually really good at that kind of thing, and I have no problem doing it when I'm actually up there talking. I really wish I didn't freak out about these things so much.

the real reason i never did my speeches in speech class, and failed it twice, is not because i thought it was pointless ( i do think that, that's just not the real reason) it was actually because i had stage fright. panic attacks much like yours hippie, (without the volunteering) so after the first few that i just said i didnt have on prepared, i just stopped doing them.

Public speaking can be criplingly nerve wracking…
But it gets easier and it's great when you realise it's just a chance to show off.

The trick is not to be intimidated by the audience. -that old idea of imagining them naked etc…
But what really matters is YOU. When you're up there, YOU aren't the centre of attention (their attention), no, you ARE the attention. Nothing else matters but you. It's your moment to shine and make a show. :)

That said, you shouldn't appear self centred, even though it helps to be that way.

Ok… I should use this thread to make a meaningless self help book and make a mint through my anodine general knowldge advice ^____^

I used to do stuff like that, but I realized that it was doing me a lot of harm(I think it was when we visited a donut shop but I was too shy to make my own, so I didn't get one) so I began forcing myself to do stuff like that. I think I took it too far when I took drama in the eighth grade, though. I felt like throwing up every time I went to class. It was pretty horrible…but I ended up winning the drama award that year.
I usually know how to handle it…there are a few tricks that help me, like being so prepared. I also try to remember that the audience is on my side. I want to give a good speech, and they want to hear one. I still get super nervous, but it ends up alright. This was just another situation where I think I took it a bit far.
I get nervous talking one-on-one to people, presenting to a whole class is pretty freaky.

it was only things that i had prepared to do. speeches, presentations ect. i was actually quite the social butterfly when out side of things like that.

we didnt get to spar tonight. Master K. is out at some weekend convention thingy, and he had one of the higher ranking black belts run the class. we worked fundamentals. dont get me wrong, those are necessary in everything. i just really wanted to hit someone.

Shoot. I dropped an Ibuprofen pill somewhere and I can't find it. I hope none of my dogs find it and eat it. Even if it's only one pill they're both so tiny (not to mention one's a puppy and a runt to boot) that I don't know if it would affect them. =/ How the heck do you find a brown pill in a house that is a sea of brown?! XO

Oh man, I've done that so many times. The only thing to do is get down on your hands and knees and scour the place. :(

In a pill related rant- I've been taking so much crap to try and fight off the Flu that my partner's got. And I take a pretty impressive cocktail without the vitamins and Ibuprofen and Dayquil and Echinacia and whatnot. I feel like an old person; or a junkie, one. Blech. At least I'm not sick- *toca madera!* Hopefully I can leave for New Orleans tonight or early Saturday morning.

Careful for your poor kidneys… They have to take care of all that stuff. :(

On colds no pills really work. You're better off keeping your distance, washing your hands etc, etc.

Why do people ALWAYS outbid me for cool busbys on e-bay? And why are there NO decent sabres? All I want is a nice traditional cavalry sabre, with a black hilt and a silver guard. And for some reason all the ones (at a good price) have a shiny brass guard, or they have a Japanese styled tapered blade, or they have something silly engraved all over the blade… It's a Sisyphean task :(
