The Offical Mafia 4 Game Thread: Mafia 4, Mafia Harder!

…There could be a hidden serial killer, the way there was in the first game. We didn't know until the end that the role existed- lucky the guy was absent and never killed. …It was Dukhat I think?
Looking on the front page, it doesn't say if the goon can kill or not. It says the Mad Hatter can't kill (with the bombs he can, but that's different). But it also says that the godfather can't kill.
So, assuming the two mafia did kill, plus the goon, the vig killed as well… That means we have a serial killer on the loose people T_T
If the vig killed someone last night… I want them to PQ me and explain themselves!

Yeah… you guys are screwed. There are way to many people with killing powers in this game. You've lost the Mayor, the paramedic and the paranoid. You can't contact the police chief and you have a rogue vigilante. On the plus side you do have plenty of clues to play with now.
Since this place is mere days away from becoming a mob controlled ghost town, I'm gonna say my farewells this time and gracefully pass on.

“Sorry someone is paying me good money to make sure your dead. And I like money.†Said the figure chasing PP.
“But I though Pysch Majors where above money!†said PP as he tripped and fell.
“Oh I do suppose I enjoy a good mystery every now and then.†Said the figure as PP was stabbed. And Stabbed. And stabbed. Jeez I think he is dead.
“Shut up Narrator!†Yelled the figured as PP lay bleeding on the floor.
Product Placement, the Townie, was stabbed a bunch of times and died.
That's a reference to Niccea, being a Psych Major.
Harkovast knew he shouldn’t go out tonight but he heard that there was a deal going on at the corner store. He walked into the shop and saw a sign saying FREE SODA. Grabbing a sprite he walked up to the counter.
“Free soda, that’s random. “Said Hark.
“So is this.†Said the mafia guy disguised as a worker in the corner store as he pulled out a gun and shot Harkovast.
Harkovast the Paranoid is dead.
LOS DOES refer to himself as "the god of random" in his profile. But he's quite dead. No idea here. Or anywhere really.
To be frank, it's been such a long day at work I can't think at all. Sorry, but I'm out.

Well I'm 70% sure that Niccea DIDN'T do it- just going by Barron's red herring clue with PP last time.
She still might have of course, maybe it's not a red herring this time… But with anyone, including kitty or anyone else we think might be guilty, we should look CAREFULLY before we try and lynch them. - to avoid a repeat of what happened with Blitz. It's just lucky that he wasn't an important role.
-We just haven't got the townnies to waste this time.
The next thing is that we DO need a new mayor so we can call double lynches ETC. Can we vote for a new one or do we just make do without?
Lastly, we need to examine those clues and see who killed who. For now, we know last night's killing involved all the mafia, the vigilante and likley a serial killer. We know for sure that Hark was killed by Mafia (barron said so), PP thinks he was killed by the vig…

We KNOW no killer's tried to get him the first time and therefore use up his power because neither of the first night deaths were mafia or Vigs. And none of the current crop of dead townies had killing roles either so none of them died as a result of trying to kill hark…
So WTF happened?
Well I'm going to try for mayor again.

Correction, OTHER people can't do that. I've suspended all civil liberties and enacted martial law. A curfew is now in effect. Repeat, a curfew is now in effect. All persons return to your homes immediately or face execution.

I have a good idea who is mafia now, and with the vigilante and police chief's help. plus the mayors ability to call a double lynch - We Will Win.

I notice that LoS says "how uncool" when interrupted and cries "I thought you were a cool cat" while falling. In the first set of clues, it's snowing during waff's murder and it's repeatedly claimed that the weather is cold, even though nothing of the sort is described during Flapjack's murder. I'm operating under the assumption that repeated words and conditions inside specific murders indicate clues, since this is usually the case.
A repetition of cool and cold exist in both of these clues. For these reasons, I suspect cool guy of murdering waff and LoS. Since the German names led us nowhere the first time around, I assume that these link the cases.
I'm not going to touch the bread clue - I shouldn't spend my time defending myself when I should be trying to figure out a real murderer, since we don't have a lot of clue-solvers left. All I can do is try to figure out the clues I feel confident with, so at the least I'll leave information in the event that I'm killed.
I've checked the front page again for the roles and I made a mistake- Harkvast could NOT kill his killer… His role was all weird and complicated, but he couldn't kill.
Hakoshen is putting on a show and claiming to be the police Cheif, but without actually saying he is. Um… no, I definitely won't vote HIM for mayor and I don't think anyone else should either. I find that behaviour suspicious.
Ody obviously has more of a plan. But I have a proven track record and I also tried to defend the townie you guys wanted to lynch, so I think I'd make a good mayor for us.
Please vote Ozone Mayor.

I did notice that.
I actually thought maybe the murdered had gotten mixed up with the murderer, and thus the wrong one was labeled, but that it would be bad to mention it because it would be calling attention to an error in the game rather than an error made by the player. I was really preparing to push this theory to the bitter end without mentioning it. o_O
EDIT: What, Hakoshen, you want me to ignore the clues? The clues are all we have, so I'm gonna keep trying, at least. While we still have the majority, we have to make this lynch count.
Yes the front page also list Harovast and Leader of Stars as still alive. I think the GM has another chosen people.
I do have a strategy that will strike FEAR into the hearts of the mafia and any wayward vigilante that will not follow directions.
I am pretty sure I know who one who 1 mafia is.
Lets Get me elected. If it looks conclusive that I will ask redBaron to declare the election and give us the lynch that we desperately need BEFORE the night cycles.
