also, i thought i'd update you guys on my infected toe. i decided to go back in and disect it again the other day cuz the sides wereswollen and there was somethin funky lookin under it, so i grabbed some tweezers and pulled out this jerky lookin tissue that ran the long way down my nail, a whole punch of dry AND wet puss came out with it too. i tihnk that was the heart of it, so now i just have to wait for it to heal! :D

Re the toe- go to the doctor, get it cut wide open, cleaned out, stitched back up and scarf down a TONNE of antibiotics for at-least 3 or maybe 4 weeks straight.
You are on the sure road to loosing that entire toe eventually. That or gangrene and that can kill or at the very least result in the loss of the foot or the leg.
I've had a lot of cats over the years and they've had a lot of injuries. You can last ok a good long, long time with infections like that, but the very fact that it's still there means you body can't fight it, only try and isolate and slow the rate of it.
