What was waiting under the Christmas tree for you this year? (If you get Hanukkah presents, practical or not, you're welcome to proclaim your booty as well.)

I got Robot Chicken (Season two) and money. (My dad isn't much into shopping.) with the money, I plan on getting all three volumes of the Kissology DVD sets. I got a few other things too, like a six pack of Coke that are replicas of 1898 Coke bottles and some other stuff, but most of that is boring stuff that doesn't merit mentioning.

(someone gave my kids a copy of The Polar Express, which I watched for the first time today. Some of the animation wasn't bad, but they all looked like reanimated corpses because no characters eyes ever dilated even once. Also, most of the few adult voices being done by Tom Hanks was a little weird. They disguised that Santa was him, but the hobo guy sounded exactly like the conductor. Also, if I was that engineer and people kept pulling my beard… at some point, I would have done something to prevent them from further pulling… which the guy never did.)

Coat, slippers, PJ pants, a DVD of Bender's Big Score and a Futurama comic book, a gift certificate for IMusic, and a bottle of Axe.
Oh, and the knowledge that I won't have to sit through this miserable holiday for another year. That's the best part.

I got a handful of movies (a collection of animated movies - both for research purposes, and because I love them to tiny bits), some CDs (Flogging Molly and Tom Waits) and some books (Pterry's Making Money, David Chelsea's Perspective for Comic Book Artists and the biography/history book General James Longstreet - the Confederacy's Most Controversial Soldier.)

All in all, a pretty good Christmas present-wise - it was a pretty good Christmas as far as other things are concerned, too. :)

Uuuh, a place that begs me to tell about the odd things I got. (okay, so i'm late, but who cares). Also, I've included some sort of weird commentaries because I've got nothing better to do at the moment.

I got, in an attempted order mentioning both odd and normal-ish things, and very very shortened so you only get to hear about the "interesting" things:

-a box of matches and a coffin shaped ahstray (and no, I don't smoke. Why she thought I should have it is… uncertain)
-duct tape (because I've been running aroung proclaiming that you can do anything with duct tape. It had to happen sooner or later)
-a spiderman coloring book (with some really oldschool drawings and "easy to tear out pages." because that just what any person about 20 years old needs! )

-The Big Book of Thugs and The Big Book of Freaks (because my mom, despite all the odd jokeish things, actually knows me quite well)
-Pirates otC 3 special edition (I've got this thing with words like "limited" and "special" edition. If there's a version of something I want with that on it I must have it. I cannot for the life of me figure out why I think like that)
-Cowboy Bebop: the perfect sessions (leading me once more to believe my dad is way too good to be true. He always gets me something utterly cool like that)

Yeah, that's barely half of it, but I think I've mentioned enough. And it sounds like (most of?) you people got some nice things too. Always good to hear.
