Well… I haven't uploaded anything yet, and won't be until I get a scanner, some good inking pens, etc.
But, the reason I will be using DD is because it seems, for the most part, pretty laid back and stuff. Also, I want to get some reception on my comic, and if it is any good I'll make my own URL that I pay for and stuff. It just feels a bit more official to me. If I don't get many good reviews, then I won't make the URL. So this is really just a crash-test for my strip.

Why Did You Choose Drunk Duck to Host Your Comic?
I got it in my (stupid, stupid) head to try making a webcomic so I could train myself to work to a deadline and so I could record some of the little stories bouncing around my head. So, I went looking for comic hosting sites; the most popular one I knew of was Keenspace/spot, so I looked at what was required of me there.
I don't know very much raw HTML, and I don't know how to use an FTP at all, plus there was an approval wait, so it wasn't even a guaranteed thing that I would get hosting. Keenspace was out.
There were a couple other sites I looked at (the names I forget now)–several were down at the time, and one was questionable in its reliability. DrunkDuck offered pre-coded templates, and hosting was free and instantaneous. Why wouldn't I go for that?
I chose DrunkDuck because SmackJeeves SUCKS! x_X I actually signed up back in January just to poke around, (The snobs on SJ say something about "50% downtime" here… HAHAHA) but recently… well… I haven't been able to get into my account there in two weeks since the server change screwed things up. Dear SmackJeeves, *inappropriate hand signal*. Love, Maru.
DrunkDuck seems much more customizeable, more flexibile with filesize limits (back on SJ I had to kill the quality on some of my strips) and the community here is really cool. :3 And it's not run by ONE college guy who never responds to anyone's e-mails. Looks like DrunkDuck actually makes attempts to inform people of known problems and fix them!
I found DrunkDuck using Google.
I found out about this site years ago before everything got deleted and we all had to start again. But I came back because I think this is the best comic community on the web. I've tried other sites and when I've asked for constructive critism been hounded by negative comments and eventually given up. Here, if you ask then you mostly get genuinely useful comments that have helped me to improve my work. Drunk Duck isn't just a place for professionals or popularity seekers; its also a place for people who post comics purely for fun. I'm really glad that I'm a part of it.
We chose Drunk Duck for many reasons. First, we can't afford our own site, as we make no money off our strip. Second, I didn't have to give up my first born child. (Other places wanted waaaayyy to much personal information, in my opinion. Finally, DD (compared to others) is really user friendly…Also, the peoples in charge seem really friendly. We've only been here a bit over a week; but, as of now, I have nothing negative to report (and I am usually the kind of person to find the positive negativity in any situation.) Long live the duck!

I only assist a comic here but I can see the perks.
I am still hosted on Drowtales which is an exclusive community, but they are pretty decent and I secretly use the webspace for other things…such as my professional portfolio. Shhhhh! XD
Seems like a good place for me to post smaller comic projects if I ever get around to it. Although, I haven't got any plans for future online comics, since I'm sorta addicted to Print-On-Demand publishing. :3 Nothing cooler than holding your OWN artwork in your hand and having that new book smell. XD
DD is pretty easy to use. I figured things out pretty quick and was able to make a semi-custom layout for my comic. Didn't go all out because I'm lazy as all get-out. XD
Basicly I was looking for a way to get my name out there in the web comic world. I had been posting my web comic in my blogs on MYSPACE, and only my frineds would view my comic and a few other people. So I wanted a broader audiance. I work with Priceman, and he told me about this site! He make the comic Silvershot http://www.drunkduck.com/Silvershot/. So I signed up, checked it out and I have been posting ever since! It is nice to be in a comunity with other aspiring artists and writers! We can exchange ideas and give each other support! Via la DUCK!!!
I started here because i had sent a fan email to cartridge comics, and i was all 'i wish i could make a comic' and i got a reply that if i wanted to give it a go, then i could post on drunkduck or comic genesis. i opened up both links and i saw this and it looked more welcoming, like i could click somewhere and it didn't bring me to a wikipedia thingy, and i read a few comics and was like, cool, these people are doing what they want to do and ya i signed up. i only started posting a comic the ast few days. by the way, wait for the plug, my comic is now 3 pages strong. yippee. have a look. http://www.drunkduck.com/Silent_but_Eggy/
I have had a Keenspace/Comicgenesis account since 2003 but it was very hard to connect with their community (no offense to anyone at CG). I did my own HTML for it and that was fine but it was virtually impossible to get feedback or cross-promotion.
I've found the DD community much warmer and easier to connect with. The interfaces have been pretty easy and the templates saved me a lot of time. Due East has started getting feedback within one week and I've gotten to see some amazing webcomics.
I consider it a win-win scenario. 8D
I'll still keep my CG but I'm excited about DD!
I started my comic over at ComicGenesis and it's still there. I started with Drunk Duck as a mirror site and I have to say I really like it. I'm thinking of starting a second comic and it will be hosted exclusively on Drunk Duck. Even if I ever dropped the Comicgenesis site, I would keep the site here up and running. I like it that much.
Did I miss the fine print again??? Drat!

I liked the style of it, and didn't want to mess with Keenspace. Sure, I had a Keenspace account…but testing out both Drunkduck and Keenspace made me decide to choose Drunkduck. Plus it's somewhat easier to advertise.
Oh, and the people are genuinely nice (both on comments and the forum!) Usually I'm afraid to hang around forums because it eventually just gets down to rudeness and vulgar language, but I haven't had that problem with DD…
I chose DD because when i was a mere actor in a photo comic called The real CoR, this was the host site. When i singed up so i could read and openly comment on the comics i love to read on here (Amazing Superteam, Basketcase, Life and Death and The Author)i got used to the ways it worked. Found the site very easy to manage, with a huge amount of help and possible readers. So when it came for me to make 'What Would Jesus Read' (now ended) there really was no other choice for me. What Would Jesus Read' lasted for some time, during which there was great levels of support and tips from some of the more experienced users.
With my newest one 'Better than TV' starting, how could i refuse DD.
