Thanks kawaii - but yeah, ozone's right, it's the edit box that shoots over to the right and cannot be seen - I'll try it in something other than Firefox, see if that works. Grazi!

Got some wierd behavior when copying text from the Author Comment or from a Comment blow a Comic Page. For some reason a link is getting attached to the text I copied.
For Author Comment on the latest GTH post (https://next.theduckwebcomics.com/Project_GTH/5446478/) I get this appended:
See more at: https://next.theduckwebcomics.com/Project_GTH/5446478/#sthash.UXrHHdUy.dpuf
If I copy text that happens to end with a link, I get only the stuff behind the # added, even if it makes no sense in context.
i.e. when I posted the text "http://stefmarcinkowski.com/vdsd", copying it get's reworked too "http://stefmarcinkowski.com/vdsd#sthash.evzs8zOo.dpuf" wich would propably not get me to the right page.
As I see it you have some script that goes:
1. If the copied text does not end in a link, add "See more at: (full URL of Comic)/"
2. If the copied text now does end in a link, add "#sthash.(some unique base64 compliant string based on wich page is shown).dpuf"
Part one sounds like a feature, but part two is implemented in a way that makes it a bug.

For a lot of things links seem to behave if you drop the http:// from them… I don't know about that other stuff though. Sounds like a weird thing that came from the latest restoration of the site?

I'm pretty sure this has been addressed already, but may be some confusion. Been wanting to add new links to my page and I keep getting an error. I don't mean links in author comments but the permanent ones on the site (header links, misc, etc)
Even when dropping the http:\\ as suggested I get this error

I've got the same problem as Asbin. I was just reluctant to make mention of it so far, because I'm actually just glad the site works at all again, and I don't mind if we still have to wait some time until this can get fixed.
Just wanted to mention I tried leaving out the "http://"-part as well, just in case, but that didn't work either. That post (see above) referred to something else anyway, didn't it?

I have adblock on my PC, but when I visit the site on my phone I'm getting pop-ups. At first I thought maybe I was hitting the ad accidentally, but it happens just about every time I'm here. They're mostly ads to download apps, so they're redirecting me right to the app store. Very irritating.

Hi Kumiko, those blank pages are due to a massive crash we had 4 years ago. Pages for a period of a few months before the crash weren't part of the backup so they couldn't be restored when the site was up and runnig again. People had to reupload saved coppies.
I notice your missing pages from St Sage Academy date from then. If you have those pages you will need to re-upload them :)

Not sure if this has been mentioned - who has time to read back further than one page, y'know?
I'm getting redirected to a "java update required" page often, when I'm on the main page as well as on people's comic pages. Not sure if it's my 'puter or the Duck…but I don't seem to be getting this on any other sites. (this is XP, running Firefox)

Hey, Happy New Year!!

Yep, we're having issues with ads redirecting people right now. Some of them to porno sites and stuff, too. D:

Try to grab a screenshot/link/the source code if you can when that happens.

Every time I upload a new page it deletes about 3 or 4 of my most recent pages. I'll have 3 or 4 of the same page (the newest upload). Thanks!

My issue remains the same. :( I apologize, everyone, for returning again. I know December 9th certainly wasn't the last update we've had, we've had much more throughout December and more to come way into March, all fo which have been set-up. And all pages scheduled for later dates are in the scrolldown box allowing people to see everything way in advance before it's launched. It's not counting all of the new updates, so I'm not sure what it could be: it never used to do this before.
I've decided to let my readers know, and anyone else, that perhaps Bookmarking the comic will be the easiest way to go since there's been a lot in the three years. My alternative for now will have to locate for another website to showcase the comics (deviantArt's been the main source for now).
I appreciate what everyone's done, thank you. :) You've done so much, but for now while I'll still update here I might have to relocate for the time being.

The favorites stat just disappeared! I think it was working a couple days ago (it usually lists pageviews as 0 but has a number for "favorites". I think I just checked a couple days back.

But today it's favorites: 0

Oy, this is not good…buggage. Major buggage.

@Hyperactive: That's a weird issue! The only thing I can sugest is that all updated comic pages should have unique names. Our system doesn't seem to be handling identical named image files well at the moment.

@Banes: Is that for your own comics of for you faves of other comics? Because I still have all my normal faves in my fave list. I don't know where the faves are for my comics.

@Tom: Yes, that's an ongoing thing. We're not sure what the cause is.

@ozone: I meant for my own comic. It's under 'stats'…but it seems to be working now.

They do not exist any longer… fuck! Must be because of the changed DNS info of the drunkduck url.
I'm reporting that to Jamey and Keith. Maybe they're able to do something :(

As a fix for the moment you can open up the layout mode and edit the image llinks.
Take out the "http://" and replace it with "https://s3.amazonaws.com/" at the beginin of the image links.
If you want to update the images you can use an external service like imagelocker I think.

On the subject of pictures, do we know the reason or a temp fix for the "links" problem?

At the moment it is impossible to change or add new "header/misc/Other Comics" links as when uploading an image it results in an "internal servel error"

The bug was due to the changeover of the DNS settings for the Drunkduck URL to make it work again. It needs some old settings put back in to square things with our Amazon image server.

I have given up even trying to load multiple pages because of that.  I find that one page at a time goes fine but anything else and it slows to a crawl and half or none of the pages load.

Was only one page I was trying.  Worked eventually.
