So in short, last night Oz had a dream that he was a 'Murican.

My dreams are always so boring. The other night I dreamt the steps I had designed to go in our vege garden between the potato bed and the carrots didn't actually fit together properly. Dream me was completely embarrassed his trigonometry had failed him. He called himself an idiot. "How could you make such an obvious mistake?" So I got up the next morning and built the damn steps. They fit perfectly. That dream me is an arse.

Florida, a land of lax gun laws and tropical delights. This is where lucid dreaming could have come in handy.
It's my dream of course I have all the proper credentials.
In fact though an Aussie I'm part of Super Secret Aussie Spy Force (SSASF) and can carry an arsenal in my hip pocket if I want to.
You can always compromise personal beliefs in a dream.
But I'm curious to know after safe and fire, what did the other four settings do on the pistol?

Yep, felt like Florida. There were swampy areas and Cubans and Haitians…
The other settings on the safety switch were things to change the trigger pull- making it stiffer, super light etc. Strange that I would remember that detail in a dream but that was it. The settings even had stupid names like "the rambler", and "easy lounger" and such like. I regretted taking it from the guy T_T

I'd still like to know where my one recurring dream comes from. Where I'm "awake", do something, then find myself falling down a cliff. Soon as I hit the rocks below I "wake up". Then I do something (like get out of bed) only to find myself falling down that same cliff… rinse and repeat 'til I finally, truly wake up… only to stay in bed for a few hours because I'm afraid that I'm still dreaming…

One possible explanation could be anxiety about failure. The falling is a metaphor for falling to pieces or your mood dropping and the waking up on landing finding yourself back where you started and having to do it all over again. Hence anxiety over actually getting out of bed to face the real world.

Lately I have been lucky in dreams, that whenever I am falling, I always remember that I can fly or I land squarely on my feet.

Since this is a recurring dream before going to bed repeat to yourself, "I have a parachute, I have a parachute " or the you can fly.

If you have the dream, upon awaking imagine a positive outcome to resolve it firmly. One like landing on your feet and walking away because the rocks are Styrofoam and there to break your fall. Or bouncing before landing safely. Resolving the problem in the dream consciously after waking works. It can end a cycle of repeating dreams.

You SHOULD be able to upload pages from your phone. On Android I have no issues with the Chrome browser.
I'm not sure about iOS though.

That's gotta be tough. If it's for a very serious reason, then I hope he pulls through. :(

My sister's ex-husband passed away. She and he had remained great friends though. He really had been suffering the last few years. He had finally been diagnosed with terminal cancer and decided to not get treatment.

My sister and a few of his friends are getting a boat to spread his ashes in the Pacific, drink wine and reminisce. Then some more friends will join them for a meal.
Nothing fancy, just to remember what he meant to them.

I was hating the hustle and bustle if working the day shift, so I went back to overnights. However, we're still short staffed so it's seven days a week. So will I ever get to do another comic or should I just liquidate my collection ? Maybe if I went 3D I could still do stuff at work or got a tablet to draw digitally.

As it is I haven't done any narrative comics in over six months. Longest hiatus ever and no hope of starting producion any time soon.

Wow… One of my favorite Youtubers to watch is a canadian named Matthew Santoro. Normally I saw him as this really goofy and fun guy who makes fun videos about facts he's gotten on the internet. And his smile is creepy… yet adorable. However, just today I ran into a video of him on Youtube that was from last January and now I know why he's been smile a lot more…

Turns out he was recently in an abusive relationship with an unnamed romantic partner. And it look like it hurt him a LOT. While he never names her, a friend of his claimed this partner was another famous Youtuber. Well… now I'm beginning to wonder how many Youtuber celebrities are hiding a ton of pain behind their smiles…

Thanks, guys! My dog is okay, thank goodness. He's a bit dejected about the cone but otherwise he's more or less his usual self. He had a tumour on his spleen so they took the spleen right out, and apparently it didn't look like it had spread to his liver so he should be alright. *fingers crossed*

My condolences on your brother in law, Bravo. His ashes will probably find their way here to Guam. :)

wow… I bought a used laptop from a coworker. It's in working order… except for the vents which were full of lint. It wasn't too badly clogged but I opened up the thing anyway and cleaned it out.

While doing so I checked the heat sink and found that the heat transfer material between the chips and the sink was a rubber pad thing… SO I did what I do when I see things like this… I took the thing apart, cleaned off the rubber stuff from the chips and heat sink, then put a small amount of Arctic Silver on all of the chips the heat sink had contact with.

The laptop works. It does what I want it to do. However, one small difference… The air being blasted out the vent was quite hot… hotter than before I replaced the rubber with Arctic Silver. And the laptop chips are running cooler as well. Now let's hope I don't end up burnt by the hot air the laptop expels when I'm using it…

Ugh, one of my marking jobs this summer kind of fell through so that's super shitty. We had to wait and see how many hours were allotted for the course, and I guess there wasn't much left in the budget. I'm only getting about 10 hours of work at $11.35/hr so yikes. My other marking job is with another department so I'm hoping they managed to set aside more for spring courses over the course of the year. Otherwise I'll be SOL I guess.

The markers'/TA's/RA's union has been fighting really hard this year trying to lobby the university - which is very big on presenting itself as a socially conscious, progressive institution - to pay us a more reasonable rate, but apparently in the most recent round of bargaining the university was like "LOL nope."

Channel the vented air and use it to cook breakfast. Or as a hair dryer.

Depends on how bushy his nest is :3

Speaking of hair- This is the FIRST time in my history of long haired life that I can leave my hair two days without washing it and STILL have it worn out- it's soft, curly, clean, not clumpy, and is presentable enough that I feel good about going to work with it like that.
Which is amazing!

This means I can go longer without washing it, which is all better for my hair.

Actually I was thinking of using it as an excuse to have a girl put her head in my lap.
