In Britain "pants" are ONLY underpants. Long pants are trousers, it doesn't matter whether it's for men or women.
Jimjams is a cute term that parents use when talking to their kids. Sir Pat was just being silly :)

I thing Ayes has the right of it, they're PJ bottoms.
But I LOVE to call everything trousers because that's such a funny word and it's even funnier when you use it awkwardly for stuff that it doesn't fit with… like pyjama trousers ^_^

Stockings, tights, thermals, leggings, wetsuits etc, all that can be made better by trouserfying them!

He was quite proud of having designed the jim-jams he had worn in Star Trek TNG. He was amazed that we Americans had no idea what he was talking about until someone suggested pajamas.

And Shatner had the last laugh as he said he didn't know anything about it as he doesn't wear anything to bed.

The whole exchange was wonderful silliness. :-D

Great. The developers of the game Subnautica put out a new update and some new equipment… It's called the "Pressure Re-Active Waterproof Nanosuit". In other words, it's the P.R.A.W.N. suit. Suddenly I feel like the main course of a seafood meal.

I kinda wonder though… would Ozone look good piloting this thing (as opposed to wearing it… not sure why it's still called a suit if it's not worn)?

No way man! My mecha suit would have to look MUCH cooler than that! And it'd have to have a cooler nickname too. :(
"The prawn man" was a name for a guy who could suck his own… ewwwwww T_T

Speaking of the unspeakable, there is something I came across (absolutely NO pun intended at all), on a porn site (not prawn site BTW), quite by accident I'll have you know.
Anyway, I was shockingly reminded of that nasty comic "Craving Control" everyone used to love and fetishise over on this site.

I was going to link to the vid, because it's quite safe for work, but the rest of the site that it is on though is definitely NOT, so no links for you!

I will describe it though:
A reasonably attractive woman in hotpants and a boobtube who is slim apart from her very round belly (probably pregnant), is voraciously chowing down plate after plate of food forced at her by too chubby women.

Obviously that gets people off, probably those same strange people who liked Craving Control. I just had to share that here because of that connection. :)
I had no idea such things existed.

Rule #34: if it exists, there is porn of it.

Infinite probability; infinite diversity of fetishism.

True, which is the main reason I didn't put up a link, The other fetishes were much worse. People are awful.

Speaking of awful people; celebs in the news. Anything involving a celeb is pointless to me.

This morning I woke with such a sore throat that I couldn't talk. My son was just at the doctor's yesterday and was diagnosed with a sinus infection. It began with a sore throat.

Regardless, I have to talk at work and I can't today. So I asked my daughter to call and let them know they needed to find someone to cover my shift this evening. She did, and afterward remarked that they seemed really confused, like they didn't know who I was.

So after a nap, I made an appointment for next week and when I was checking the calendar I saw I wasn't scheduled for work tonight.

Confusion explained, illness confirmed.

Whew! I was afraid you were going to find out your entire job was an hallucination, or some elaborate ruse, like in Total Recall. I feared what was coming next: A recording of yourself saying "ayesinback…get yo' ass to Mars."

sorry to hear of your illness - hope it doesn't hit you too hard.

I have a job interview next week, so that's awesome! Well, kind of. I was excited for about 30 minutes after I got the phone call before I realized how outside of my comfort zone the whole thing is.

I have to demonstrate a science experiment…
On a stage…
In French…

So yeah, this will probably be an incredible disaster.
But job or no job, I'm kind of relieved to see that at least there's nothing horribly wrong with my resume/cover letter that's causing places not to call me back.

Pinky TA, that's what: https://next.theduckwebcomics.com/Pinky_TA/
That hot little number just updated ;)

I hope you demolish that illness like a big man demolishes cake!

Your drawings of mechanical whatchamahoozits always blow me away, oz. For real.

There is nothing like starting a Sunday after receiving a morning phone call that technology has failed and I am needed at work three hours before my start time. It is nice to feel like an essential member of a team.

It was as if I was day dreaming on my bed, wrapped up in my sheets and basking in the morning sun debating whether I wanted to sleep-in or drive to a yoga class when my morning was decided for me.

The good news is that I get to leave work two hours early.

Oh yeah, I am scheduled to work in my favorite little classroom for two days in the upcoming week, so Happy Times are Here Again!

I had one heck of a freakout moment. Just woke up from that repeating nightmare again (where I think I'm awake, but every action sends me down a cliff) and found I couldn't move my body… for maybe a few minutes. I'm fine now, but that was a pretty scary experience. I don't think I want to go to sleep anymore…

Congrats on Banes for getting reviewed! :D
Good on you Genejoke for doing it- with your gang.

@Kawaii- are you tired?

—————–

The Quackcast today is on causing offence-
It was a really interesting topic and a lot more varied than you'd think. I don't think we covered all the aspects of it.
And it's not just limited to the "errr, everything is too PC these days" whining or "OMG, that's a trigger warning!" stuff.

I should probably make a thread about it.
Genejoke had one about "isims" but that's only such a tiny part of it.

That is actually not an uncommon occurrence. It's a nightmare followed by sleep paralysis. Get a sleep study to see if there are any underlying health issues like sleep apnea.

It's really nothing to lose sleep over. Just so long as you don't see Greys or Old Hags you should be fine.

Great. Now I REALLY don't want to sleep as I don't want to encounter grey old hags in my dreams…

And… the original Mr. Willy Wonka has passed on. Farewell, Gene Wilder. I hope you had a great life before your number came up. :(

I sleep whenever I feel tired. I spray my pillow with lavender essential oil and I fall into a deep, deep sleep. It turns out that the large white van I have been driving for work is a very comfortable place to sleep. I am slowly taming that beast of a vehicle.

As a matter of fact, I am about to leave work early and spend the next 24 hours at a vineyard, resort, and spa in Temecula.

I went to bed at 9.30 last night. Super early for me because I usually go to bed between 12 and 2.30am… (ideally 12am)
I slept till 3am, looked on the net for a while on my phone, then after 4am I slept till 7am when one of my cats really really wanted to cuddle…
I had a pillow on my head, which she decided to sit on till I acknowledged her!

She chatted at me and snuggled… Then I slept for another half and hour or so. Just like a Saturday! Lots of sleep. :)

I had a dream about a sword expert guy visiting my house and testing a sword I gave him… It was stupid dream.

@Kawaii- I hope the vineyard is great!

Every once in a while I Google myself to see how my name sakes are getting on
The math professor has some new ACT workbooks out and the other 114 on linked in and 90 on FB are keeping things to a low roar.

The I searched bravo1102 and found a nice Mexican restaurant and some guy in Ontario was using it as a handle on a dating site. This calls for further research because this guy better not be proclaiming to his potential dates that he's the creator of a slew of webcomics. I've been using this handle for over ten years and this guy has never come up before.

And it's not April. And I have no desire to go trolling for singles in Canada.

That would be Banes. He's obviously chosen your nick along with his famous cartoon voice impression of you for his Lothario persona.
The women go WILD for that Bravo name and Ed Wyn voice combo. Sexy ;)

Speaking of sexy, I've finally ordered the perfect slippers to go with my silk pyjamas: midnight blue velvet one with curly toes. I hope they fit!
