Write a FanFic Crossover of Your Favorite Duck Comics

Posted at

Have you ever wanted what it would feel like if someone wrote a fanfic of your webcomic? Like take for instance right, let's say I wrote a crossover fanfic between Dude in Distress by EssayBee Comics and crossed it over to, I don't know Pinky TA by ozoneocean. How would that work? Just curious. lol

LanceDanger has somewhat canonically placed Used Books and Fred Peterson TMW in the same universe. One of his antagonists (Fatfish) has had phone conversations and distance chess games with UB character Raidon. (Which reminds me that I should find a spot for a TMW nod next time it fits. Heh.)

I dunno how it works, tbh. LanceDanger's comic is a superhero story. UB has no supernatural or fantasy elements. But whatever. It's still fun to think they could occupy the same universe. It came about because the two characters seemed like they'd be friends. Actually, TMW is probably the comic I follow that is closest to the UB setting (mostly real world, modern time period).

I love doing cameos. Crossovers would be extra fun, but they are hard to do.

LOL I think if one day I thought that Capt'n Heroic and Stringy and Mopy had a crossover would be very fun to write. Just imagine the interactions! lol

The closest crossover I can envision is between Cold Pizza by TCIndiana and Chu and Kenny by LimeTH, where the characters from Cold Pizza somehow find a way to imprison Chu and Kenny in the dreaded "Matrixception", where they have to create a new device that will not only transport them out of Europe and back into Zion, but also somehow convince The Terminator to become a Blade Runner and retire the Cold Pizza characters one by one before the Digimon catch up to them and sue Chu for ripping off portable monsters that talk rather than just say their names (all while awakening Osaka from Azumanga Daioh, out of a spell that keeps her trapped in the Sword Art Online Universe)…

As for my characters, Jim and Shawn, Tbh I'd rather not even have them exist in a world where being canon is seen as (ironically) unnecessary despite having it show you're enough of a fan to know them past their name and appearance. -_-

I know none of you read it but Belle's Best crosses over with Godstrain/Godstrands and features Death Porn's Carmen after the events in El Cid's comic.

I'm always toying with crossovers since most of my comics are movies (based on real events) made by the same producers, characters can come and go between them. And it's a big universe with lots of room.

It's an open invitation for anyone to put a Belinda Brandon movie poster in their comic.
