People should be able to disagree and not want to kill each other.
I wish it was still the 99s

We could all go to a rave and be cool

These nightmares are trying to divide us.

Don't buy into it.

We used to think the internet would usher in a new age of enlightenment. Instead we got cute kittens, free porn and the end of civilisation as we know it.

The speed of global communication now makes people think that we share more culture and commonality than we do, but the reality is that a lot of information and culture is highly localised.

What this means is that info that's spread globally is usually stripped of context (both historical and geographical) which means that we only understand each other in a very simplistic and superficial way.

THIS is why a lot of internet communication is simplified down to goodies and baddies.

Lowest common denominator. Everything is dumbed down so that the most intolerant and ignorant may lead.

The sterling example is the whole flat earth YouTube flap. It's total made up ignorance. Folks can wrap themselves in the flag of righteousness and go on crusade without knowing or understanding anything.

And if you dig deep enough you will find the same ignorant mindset behind all this intolerance.

Look at old behavioral models and we always suspected these things, social media was created and all the worst social woes became multiplied. Welcome to the social experiment in real time of the 21st century. Who needs fictional squidgames? We have social media.
