Any advantage of SeaMonkey over Firefox?

They are smaller and costs less to feed and maintain- you'll have to change the tank every other week (carry over some of the old water) but a seamonkey will eat fish flakes. The complaint people have against marine pets is that they aren't cuddly and they're hard to connect with, but I'll tell you a firefox isn't going to be cuddly either. They are wild animals and will behave like wild animals. Check your region's laws, they may not even be legal to own as pets. Not only will they mark their territory, tear up furniture to make nests, and scorch your carpet, but they need a careful feeding schedule and diet which will not be cheap.

omg!! lolx300!!

so… this is the longest I've ever gone in my life without sleep. I haven't slept in a bed since Tuesday. (why? I love to torture myself. And I had a shit-ton of work to do.) I still have 4 pages left of this stupid essay. I've gotten about 3 hours of sleep cumulatively since tuesday. Or was it monday? oh man, I don't remember. I am having all these brilliant ideas, and every time I doodle it comes out much better than usual… oh cruel fate why must I get a creative rush, right when I must ignore it?

at least it's good for losing weight though, I guess. I imagine I must have lost at least a little bit; I just lose all track of time. I got up to have a cigarette and suddenly realized I was painfully hungry, and that I hadn't eaten in 20 hours (unless you count two venti coffees. with milk.) Call Jenny Craig! I figured it out!! (you just have to brain-fuck dieting women with sleep deprivation until they can't feel anything anymore.) (since then I've eaten what seems to be my weight in Lucky Charms, and there's still a lot left in the box! it's like, the magic box that never runs out…

Ha! It's not just sleep deprivation; if you're working on something obsessively like you you naturally forget to eat and ignore hunger without even realising, even if you do get some sleep while you're doing it.
It's fun, but so exhausting…

Qiuck, get off of DD before it sucks you in and you don't finish the essays! O_o
Danger danger!

heh, I only have one left, and I'm *just about* done. (and… it's already late : D oops)

I just watched the sun rise, well, I was fixing up my paper some more (I do it better hand-written for some reason) and looking up every once in a while like, "omg! the sky's even lighter!!"
there were these 2 really cute ducks walking around near me, quacking. they were a boy-duck and a girl-duck; I think they're in looove.

BUT THIS IS INSANE! aNOTHER all nighter– it's 6 am– and I feel great! I feel better than I do when I sleep a whole lot! I think I should try and see how long I can go without sleep… man, insomniacs must have it great; they have so much extra time!! unfortunately I get the impression that they spend that time watching reruns of mind of mencia or something…

imagine; I could update my comic every day! (yayy)

and I've come to the conclusion that the play I'm writing my paper on, La vida es sueño, would be THE BEST comic ever… with some changes (Segismundo HAS to get with Rosaura in the end!! It's too sad otherwise– and he marries his freakin' sister!! WTF!)
it's sooo good… oh man! there's this soliloquy in it that supposedly is like, "Spain's equivalent of Hamlet's 'To Be or Not To Be' speech" but I actually find that offensive. Because La vida es sueño is SO much better!! that speech makes me cry every time I read it! my professor even read it in class and I was all boo-hooing quietly. Unfortunately it's not as good in English– I feel like people say that about ALL translated works, but I think they're usually just as good as the original. But this one, they call it "Life's a Dream" in English! it sounds like the title to a Doris Day movie! whereas in Spanish the title doesn't come across so damn chipper. It's more like… no, there's no way to translate it without it sounding like a motivational quote. But it's a beautiful play. It's definitely the best play I've ever read. (other than perhaps, the libretto to Phantom of the Opera…)

man, I hope my professor likes this paper, I'm so enthusiastic about it and all…

Last night the view outside the window was beautiful…

In front of my window there are two rows of trees… shorter ones on this side of the street and more spread out taller ones on the other, and right between the two tall ones and above the shorter ones… there's the moon, surrounded by a thin, fog-like layer of clouds, giving it this beautiful halo of yellow light. And it was windy, so you could see tiny clouds zoom through the rest of the sky.

I opened the window, climbed up on the top of my bed for a better view and stood there for about five minutes staring at it :D

In other news, I worked out the different relations with most major players in Amen City. It's mostly background stuff, most of which doesn't come into play until later in the series, but I'll be dropping hints and bits of information throughout volumes 3-7, so it was pretty important to have it worked out beforehand.

That should also help me work out the overall story of the main character in volume three (Saint of Swords) and the basic order of events in volumes 4 and five (currently untitled because of that). Right now I just know what should happen, but I have no idea what will go where, I could approach that in three or four different ways but it's too early to talk about that.

Meanwhile I'm hoping to write the last scene/minichapter for volume 2 somewhere next week.

Every time I go visit my parents, it gets weirder and weirder. I think I creep out my dad, which makes me really sad because he's like, my favorite person ever.

Also I got punched in the face last night and got a cut on the side of my nose that bled more than anything I've ever seen outside of blade jobs in pro wrestlin'. Thankfully my nose is made of iron of something, and immune to breaking and/or nose bleeds.

These kinds of things are probably why I creep my dad out.

Rabbit shaped clouds? What are you crazy? :D

Everyone knows that clouds are actually gigantic spaceships that bombard earth frequently (disguising it as rain) and the only thing that keeps us safe are gigantic canons (factory chimneys) and energy beams (construction cranes).

:)

I'm finally going home today. YAY! I got a lot of recyclables to bring home since I haven't been there in a while. My school doesn't have a recycling program for glass and plastics so I just take it all home.

WTF? Ha! I recycle, but if it wasn't so convenient, I wouldn't.
That's dedicated, I salute you!

Edit: whenever I post an answer without a quote, someone posts before me making me look like I'm the crazy one…

Proper edit: also, I'm a moron who can't tell the difference between the edit and quote button, argh.

FINALLY, I have relaunched my strip! After weeks of worrying it over and even considering simply pulling it and starting a different idea altogether I bit the bullet today and went inside BA and performed some major and much needed surgery.

I eliminated two thirds of the strips and BEGAN with a story line rather than random gags. I also converted the strips that I did keep from color format to black and white.

The reason that I revamped BA instead of dumping it altogether is that I actually LIKE some of the characters and some of the story lines that I have already completed. I've never actually LIKED one of my cartooning efforts before. This is entirely new with me. So, I thought I'd give the strip one more chance. It will be interesting to see what I do with it from this point onward.

Every time I go visit my parents, it gets weirder and weirder. I think I creep out my dad, which makes me really sad because he's like, my favorite person ever.

Sort of like a 'good news/bad news' thing, eh? You are tough enough to take a punch but you had to take the punch.

I hope you feel better soon. As far as your father goes, I sympathize with you. My old man never knew how to deal with me because I was the first child in my family NOT to be a red neck. He was geared to deal with anything BUT an intellectual and an artist. So it goes.

Ach, that's horrible! I hope it doesn't hurt too much. :(

I woke up to screaming for the gazillionth day in a row this morning. It's always either my mom or little sister screaming at my dad. Poor guy.

I like to come here to vent.

Can anyone tell the difference between these two pictures (other than one is moving?):

The original

older

newer

I did not draw them, but I colored them from someone's sketch. I just recently mailed them the newer version and they were very testy with me.

You need to work on it some more. Still looks the same as the other one. Your style leaves much to be desired.

1. I only do this cause I want to. I didn't have to show her something that she started and I finished.
2. Actually there was third one in between the two but it was actually in movie format not .gif. It looked closer to the older one.
3. Though everyone can improve, it is still a rather rude thing to say. The picture I took from her to do this was a pencil sketch taken with a digital camera. So I really think she has much right to talk about it. Her coloring is also rather flat.

Yah they look the same to me besides the background, what are you using to ink? A small 90$ bamboo tablet and a program with pressure sensitivity like photoshop would bring it to life (because the line width is the same all around)

What did the pencil sketch look like out of curiosity?

I just use regular photoshop and my mouse…touch pad…laptop. I don't have the type of money for tablet. Been thinking about it, but I'm not going into arts or anything. Could save such money…

And the original is the first link.

Have you tried using the pen tool with stroke on? (and a brush that allows for it) I would fit your style well and give the lines that popular smooth look, this is what people on DA seem to use when they don't have a tablet for inking :)

Seeing the sloppy original i don't think you did a bad job at all.

No? That is on CS2 right? I'm working with older stuff and my computer with photoshop crashed so I can't go looking for it at the moment…

I never had any form of training with illustrating and photoshop just photo editing and a hint of graphic design (nothing from scratch though).

That's it… I seem to have a fully developed wolverine allergy. Any exposure to that character can lead to rash… actions. Urgh.

Right now, wolverine is the britney spears of comics :P

Minus the head-shaving, and going mental, of course :P

I just got done getting ready for today. I have nothing really planned, but it's always nice to look good. Just gets ya in a good mood ya know?
I'm gonna start the whole anatomy thing todayyy~
And uh. Finish Page 20.

And maybe draw more pages.

But mostly anatomy.

There are times when I wish that I still drank. I saw Master Reed today, a sixth degree black belt. He and I began martial arts training at roughly the same time during the middle 1970s and we used to train together and learn new techniques as white belts and then orange and yellow belts. Then I had to drop out to enter the military. He remained behind to continue his MA training.

When I left the military I took up martial arts again and Reed was a first degree black belt and he became my instructor. I was okay with that. I liked and respected the man, and besides which I was rapidly making my way up the belt ranks and was touted by instructors as a someone with great prospects. Then just as I was closing in on gaining MY black belt my body sabotaged me and I developed severe spinal problems. I had to stop training in hard core kick ass martial arts or risk spending the rest of my life in a wheel chair.

Today, after a twenty year absence I visited my old martial arts stomping grounds and happened to see MASTER Reed, a sixth degree black belt, teaching a class to lower ranked black belts. Sigh!

I left without saying hello. Sometimes it just hurts too much. Once upon a time, the martial arts WAS my life.

That's much nicer than the bags of laundry most college kids bring home. :]

I can see the differences in the 2 colored versions. I think the main thing though is that she is expecting it to look like one thing and you are delivering another. It's not very fair of her to be testy because you don't know or can't do the techniques she's expecting. Only using the touchpad does limit you though, I agree that you accomplished a lot with it. I could never use a touchpad for anything, I hate them. :]

martial arts stuff
I would love to have a job where my title was "Master"
