At my parents' house. Internet is slooow so I haven't been online.
Also- my stats have been like, a third of what they've been the past couple weeks, but my rank hasn't changed (it might've gone up, even). Anybody else gettin' low counts? Mother's Day weekend? That crap is so weird…
My little brother is gonna buy me a motorcycle when I move back to New Orleans. Yeah, he's pretty awesome. Also I found out he and his wife are tryin' to have a kid. That is beyond strange. I'm still not used to the fact that he's married!
Now I'm gonna go draw so I can avoid being exposed to the "The Today Show". Gah! Fake news! I hate those people.

Trust me. It'll start to summon you when you least expect it… like a siren song of doom. I should know… I've been off and on the thing while playing other games like Anarchy Online and City of Heroes (also on and off). In fact, I'm tempted to return to CoH after hearing about that new mission architect thing they added on.After three straight years of complete World of Warcraft immersion, I've given it up cold turkey.
*twitch* Must not… reinstall…
I'm actually quite happy with where I left things off with my character. When I left, I was one of Cenarion Circle's best-geared mages, was in the top 13 on the entire server, gear-wise.
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Cenarion+Circle&n=Dottiar
Now that Uldaur's out, of course, that no longer applies… but hell, I left at the top of my game, I'm not going to pull a Michael Jordan and go back.
Besides, I think if I reinstalled the game, my wife would literally hack off my hands with a dull knife and feed them to me. <_< So yeah, I'll just wait for Diablo III. :p

I'm still wracking my brain whether to redraw the b&w version of Din Krakatau or not. I reworked the color one by stripping out color and leaving parts in greyscale but also doing parts in flat grey or pure b&w… and I'm not happy with that. I'd strip the color out entirely, but there are bits where I just painted bits of backgrounds rather than draw them, so I'd have white panels here and there and it'd look like they're all in vacuum or something.
So, it appears the best option would be to redraw it… Either draw it fully from scratch (which I don't want to do) or just fill out the backgrounds plus, while I'm at it, I could fix the shapes of heads and faces in the first third of the book.
So perhaps this is the solution? Have the color version printed as it is (since there's no way I'm recoloring pages!) and then delay the b&w version until I start drawing, while at the same time working on volume 2? But then… what with my plan of upping the number of updates to 5 times a week? Will I make it?
And what do I do with the relettered color pages (the ones that will go to print for the color edition)… perhaps upload them to the "Din Krakatau" comic (as opposed to Amen City Chronicles which is supposed to contain b&w version of "Din Krakatau" followed by "Ravensrook" followed by "Saint of Swords" etc.)? Simply replace all the pages? Replace them as the b&w story progresses? Or have it run simultaneously from scratch as both color and b&w?
This is giving me a headache…
Ahem! Allergy and cold suffers, attend and be enlightened. While certainly no miracle cure, the over the counter nose sprays DO work. Just check them out and select one that promises at least eight hours of clear sinus passages and then follow the directions.
Now mind you, you are still going to have your cough – if you already had one, that is – and you are still going to feel terrible, BUT at least your sinus passages will be clear while you are asleep and you will not be waking yourself up trying to breathe through clogged sinus passages.

Concur totally though I use the prescription Flonase. I have a slight case of sleep apnea due to my nose having been rearranged by an irate parent a few years back. So Flonase and Breathe Right strips. If you stick the Breathe Right strip on correctly it works great. If you don't, it won't work.
Remember ask any person in the repair/item service business; two thirds of all probelms with anything are user error. (except computer programs; 2/3rds of all probelms there are programmer error.)
Of course no one ever admits to being fucked up. It's always the other guy/ the piece of equipment. Gotta love this stuff. lol!

Good call! I 'discovered' Breathe Right strips last fall and immediately stopped snoring after beginning their use. My wife decided to keep me after that. One marriage saved! Also, because they do increase the volume of air intake I do believe that I sleep better at night – snoring or no snoring.

Hmm… I snore, and quite loudly (or so I'm told, and I have the bruises in my side from my wife elbowing me to get me to stop to prove it)… Might have to give these a try.

I tried them after a similar recommendation and after my wife confessed that my snoring very definitely was keeping her short on sleep. As bravo1102 noted, however, be sure to read the directions for strip placement [should be a no brainer for any artist cognizant of human anatomy] and follow the directions to the letter. All the strip does is keep the nostril sides pulled open to full expansion, but they have to be placed correctly to do that. Oh and always be certain to wash your face just before application. Skin oil WILL weaken the bond.

You definitely have my sympathy. I have been dithering whether to restart my Bad Attitude strip or toss it and begin an entirely different story series. The thing is that if I take up with Bad Attitude where I left off, the new strips will all be in black and white. This means that I really do need to go back and remove the color from my previous material or at least make it all grayscale for the sake of visual continuity. I simply cannot yet make up my mind what to do, but the time is fast approaching when I will begin producing again one way or another. I can feel the urge build up in me to return to serious penciling, inking, and story telling.

crap, I'm the writer for my comics. I'll have to read the directions really carefully then… but I'll pick those up here in the next few days and give em a try. :)

Any advantage of SeaMonkey over Firefox?
They are smaller and costs less to feed and maintain- you'll have to change the tank every other week (carry over some of the old water) but a seamonkey will eat fish flakes. The complaint people have against marine pets is that they aren't cuddly and they're hard to connect with, but I'll tell you a firefox isn't going to be cuddly either. They are wild animals and will behave like wild animals. Check your region's laws, they may not even be legal to own as pets. Not only will they mark their territory, tear up furniture to make nests, and scorch your carpet, but they need a careful feeding schedule and diet which will not be cheap.
If it's good enough for a guy who dusts with a bazooka, it's good enough for me.
Finest kind!
It took me a while to copy and paste the bookmarks that I wanted to transfer from Firefox to Seamonkey, but the process was not difficult. Just create the folders in Seamonkey and then move a copy of the URLS from the Firefox bookmarks across to the Seamonkey bookmarks. So I guess I'm officially up and running now with this new browser.
Oh and I used Seamonkey to access the Deviantart site and – unlike with Firefox – Seamonkey had no trouble with access and utility. I, by the way, did try to use MSN Explorer to work with Drunk Duck this morning and it made me enter my screen name and pass word EVERY TIME I went to a different page – ouch!
So far so good. Thanks for the tip Ozoneocean!
Thanks CharleyHorse, I'll definitely give it a go. I downloaded the thing once and never used it for some reason I can't remember,

That settles it: I'm gonna get a munkee instead!
Yeah, when you gotta go, you gotta go (and create comics). So, it appears the best option would be to redraw it… Either draw it fully from scratch (which I don't want to do) or just fill out the backgrounds plus, while I'm at it, I could fix the shapes of heads and faces in the first third of the book.

But this book is… argh, I already did sooo much work on it, haha.
128 pages of pencils, colors and lettering. Okay, done. Oops, messed up my template, it's too narrow and besides I'm switching to 5x7.5 format, sooo it's photoshop time, canvas resizing to proper ratio, consequently I had to fix all the bleeds that got messed up a little as the pages were too narrow previously, convert it all to different page size (interestingly "roughly comics" size at 400 dpi is only slightly wider pixelwise than 5x7.5 is at 500dpi, so that's what I did, not much quality loss then) and then RELETTER everything (used it as a chance to proofread it all)…
and then I had to take all of these pages and edit them again to strip out the color, which obviously doesn't look as good as I'd want it to sooo hello redrawing phase… which will probably end up with further lettering fixes, lol.
And did I mention I had to make the 300 dpi print versions too? Well, I did them for both color and greyscale but I'm a little paranoid cause I left the blue rulers… thought they'd be removed when saving into tiff, apparently not and I have no idea if they'll cause trouble or not, so I'll have to remove them and resave all the pages again. So at this point it looks like 10 hours of work per page on average if you count it all together.
Oh well, just get the first one done right, it should be easier the next time, right? :)
Wow the internet is boring today :/ This kinda reminds me of what a vidya game character once said about her high-tech futuristic tv; 'billions of hours of entertainment programmed but not a single thing to watch'.
I want to get a job this summer, probably night-shift since that seems to be the one no one really wants to apply for and i'm up at night. I can save up for a quad and other life enriching items like xbox360 if i get one.
I'm also thinking about 'donating' plasma, i wonder if i'm worth anything extra for having O negative and decent iron levels/working out. I have a pretty big fear of needles though
Just remember to show that X360 who the master is, like I did to mine.
My neck has been killing me…and I ended up getting a bit of a sunburn fishing all day yesterday. At least I'm not a bright red figure walking around…I was mature enough to bring sun screen and use it.
I want to continue on and finish my animation project, but…I don't know if it's the realization of how much work is left to do in the final part because of the battles or what, but I am just burned out on it

munkeeGood that you're giving it a go ^_^
Remember though, no browser is perfect and using it won't cure all your net issues. I stick with it because it's my fave, but I'm not going to say any browser is the best ever, not even my fave one.
After a year and a half of using photoshop, I finally learned how to use the pen tool! Well, kinda. I'm still not great with it, but it's about time.
I'm so proud of you! <3
I'm hangin out with a friend I haven't in a long time. And we're actually having a great time!
Whenever he's playing a one-player game or reading, I'm toning pages. Then we usually play a 2-player game or talk.
:3
Tomorrow starts the day I do the whole anatomy thing. I'm excited.
