not saying i'm wheeling and dealing. but i have several military grade gas mask canisters that they wont take back, because i opened them. they issue them to us every time we deploy, and if we open it up, they can't take it back. sometimes i lurve the military. —————
just saw get smart. and it was really funny.
the wife is sick, and demanding that i do everything for her. which i normally do, but she normally doesnt demand it.
spent all day building a grill, and a tv stand. now if i can only combine the two.
I've had a terrible week, compounding a miserable month.
On a small scale, my boss banned me from using the maintenance office computer where I work because he had to keep re-entering his password for Yahoo or some nonsense. Oddly, he never had a problem when the guy before me used the computer for the same thing. Then he immediately accused me of using the computers of the teachers in my wing, claiming someone saw me do it. He would not accept anything but this hearsay as the truth, no matter what. Point being? I never used their computers. Ever. What was the point? I already was on the maintenance office's comp, which I freely admitted. So, big thanks to him for a nice nagging session to ruin my day.
Worst though, was driving home that same day (Friday night). Oil system blew out without warning, beyond a small oil leak in the lot. Couldn't get home. Long story short, the cops called me a tow truck, but they charged more for making that call than the tower did by almost twice over. And while I haven't heard word back from my mechanic yet, people are telling me there's a good chance the engine/transmission is ruined from this. Which means goodbye car, because no one shells out the money for a total replacement job on that level. I don't live in some fantasy land where I make oodles of cash or have people to take care of me, to say nothing of the cash gouging hellhole that is New Jersey. Hopefully, it'll just be a matter of a gasket or valve replacement. Still, what the hell? The car isn't even ten years old and it ran perfectly for the entire year I had it. It was up to date on everything.
Finally, I was originally set to be married by the end of this May, but that fell apart last October and I haven't met anyone since. This has left me depressed for the last two months already.
I'm so very tired inside, I don't know what else to write.

do you have some that have a nato 40mm screw? I need one for my S10.

Your thing about the car just reminded me what a very expensive summer I'm about to have. I think the credit card will be full for a while. :/ I hate having debt on the card.
On the good side, seeing your username always reminds me of that character from American Gods, which makes me happy. :]
This weekend was too short. I feel cheated out of a couple hours because usually I take friday afternoon off, but this week I had to be in at the office and didn't get home til almost 8. I should stop whining though because after this week, I have 2 weeks on holiday (and a lot to try and do before then).
allright, so im home now from my trip.it wasnt bad! stopped at the Haudenausee museum yesterday [Iroquois]. it was wonderful! i've been very interested in native culture for a long time, particularly the Seneca Nation. The Seneca were part of the Iroquois Confederacy, which was a union between 6 tribes along the eastern part of the united states that was made up of the mohawk, seneca, oneida, onodaga, cayuga, and later on, the tuscarora.i've never really got to interact with any members of the tribes before, but yesterday i had a great conversation with a mohawk man at the museum named [translated to english] He Awaits. He's an educator at the college and the museum and he seemed more then happy to tell me about the Mohawk and his heritage and all sorts of great things like that, and he wasnt boastful about it either, just eager to pass on some knowledge, and i was very happy to hear it! One of the things he told me was his was in South Vietnam once and found a vilalge of people with loincloths and spears and you know, not technically advanced or anything and there was a woman of French descent living with them. she asked him who he was,so he told her his name.they got talking then she asked him again who he was, and he told her his name again and that he was a corpral and stuff like that. then she goes no, WHAT are you, and pointed to his high cheek bones. he said he's a Native American Mohawk. she said "ah yes! the Mohawk!" she knew about the longhouses and the iriqois and what part of the country they were from. this woman half a world away knew that. and without making me feel he was casting blame on me or anything like that [cuase anyone who's seen me knows im white as a fuckin ghost.]he told me that a lot of white people dont know about indian culture,or that a lot of it is wrong. that they werent [as he put it] "people hiding behind trees waiting to club you." and that's why he's an educator.
i wish it wasnt so far so i could go to some of those classes, but just finally talking to one of the members of those tribes was just so fufilling. i want to help somehow. i want to get to know a lot more,as much as i can and maby i can help.
Pitface is so different here :) It's interesting to learn about the native peoples of a place. At my grandmother's funeral I got the chance to meet some of my aboriginal relatives. They're not from my city, but up north somewhat, in the desert. Nice people, very warm and open, amazingly friendly. It saddens me a bit when people lump aboriginal people all together like some amorphous mob… There are so many language groups and different cultures. They're a very regional people, very tied to their areas, their land.

haha, well i'm sure we all have sides we dont show on here often. but that's very cool you got to meet them!i have absolutly NO knowledge on aboriginies from that area.bet it would be interesting!i guess a lot of people dont bother to learn cuase frankly, they arent effected by it at all.dont know if i would have ever bothered if i hadnt become interested the way i had,but i'm very happy i did! truthfully, it altered the way i saw things and felt about things. i used to not be as comfortable with myself as i am.
i'm not sure. it is US, and online says it fits in with nato stanag 1155 (nato gas mask and canister regs) so i'm sure it might fit the S10. —- @ozone. you of all people should know, that it protects against particles, and not smells. trust me, if someone farts in a room of people wearing these masks and canisters, it will do nothing for you.

i'm upset…i dont have any recent pictures of myself. and i'd like to. also i forgot what else i was going to ran while looking stuff up for joel…
Agh i have a terrible headache, feels like some bastard is squeezing my brain -_- I took some aleve and drank water but this asshole just won't go away.
I had this idea for a comic, about if alien slave traders came to earth and took all the hot young women and strong buff men.
They go to the alien planet which is one huge black market like that scene in hell boy2, and find out that there are humans like them in high up places because the slave traders had come to earth before (they had taken the Egyptians~~oooohhh~~) Then my feeble mind devolves into romance plots and evil prostitution/gladiator rings.
So earlier I thought I need a drawing desk so I wouldn't get distracted while drawing.
But first, I had to find somewhere where a desk would fit. I found a great place to put it, but it was full of junk, so I had to clean that out. I knew where to put that junk, but it was where all my N64 games were…
And then I sorted out my N64, and saw my Snes just sat there…Motionless. So I set my Snes up to my TV. But then I saw all the crap on the drawers in the corner, and I needed to get rid of that…
I never cleaned up the place I wanted to put a desk…;_; I'm too easily distracted.

I was always under the impression that smells were gaseous molecules, not particles, but then again it's been a couple of years since chemistry…
On an angrier note, I just finished my application for student finance on paper, taking several hours to locate the 'easily available' informsation across 3 different websites and answering very ambiguous questions. I would have done it online but no, that service just wasn't happening. GOD I hope university is worth it.

@cleaning up: i have a drafting table that i really want out of my place. :P more so a drafting tablet, cause it's missing the legs, but it has the cool ruler slidey thing.
why is cartoon network now being filled with crapier than crap kiddie reality tv shows and reality cartoon?
if i could run cn it would be boomerang stuff, tom and jerry, animaniacs, freakazoid, pinky and the brain, and johnny test.
Good God… this guy is just… HE LOOKS LIKE HE'S 250 POUNDS!!!
Its not like he used to be fat. But no.
When he was 16, he was a varsity soccer player. Not just a soccer player but a really really good one. I watched him play. He's fast. And he plays intelligently.
If he wanted to, he coulda been a professional soccer player.
But no.
What a waste. :(

And then there's this other guy who was your typical quiet skinny nerd type who kept getting picked on. I heard a story about him that one time in the locker room, everyone saw his dick and he got laughed at because he's apparently got a small dick (in the literal sense).
It hurt his self-esteem. From being an honor student in elementary school, his grades dropped massively in high school. And then he just dropped out due to depressive issues.
But now he's just RIPPED. And he's practicing mixed martial arts.
You should see him now. Unless you're some big / tough guy or got a weapon, you wouldn't wanna get in his face.

No, they're particles, molecules are particles.
If a mask can protect against a certain level of a gas, allowing you to breathe without ill effects, but you can still smell it, then maybe the mask isn't that great? Or maybe it's just not rated for methane?
So i'm doing that sci-fi story after all, figure i'll just turn it into porn or something so that the fans won't care that there's no ending (yaaay)

I'll agree with Ozone
Yaaaaaaaaayyyy!
S'yeah, I talked to the girl a little bit yesterday. Come to find out, her phone died, and her charger is messed up. Which explains why she hadn't texted me in over a day. Thankfully she was on Myspace, which is how I talked to her.
Apparently, we might hang out sometime.
I've also decided to start sketching a LOT more, instead of working on the comic. I have about 14 or more pages of buffer already, and I need to practice more with anatomy and backgrounds. So I'm probably going to be doing that like, hella-hardcore now.
Y'know, it wouldn't be so hard to actually do this, if I didn't already have a comic. I don't want to put it on hiatus and lose the what few readers I have :P
I got the plot down, 130kb of random notes and bits of script… now all I have to do is write the script and draw it. It's supposed to be over 300 pages, but looking at all that I covered in the plot (and what I still need to insert) it might take 500 pages… and once the script is written, I shall drawn it ten pages a day :D
I'm piling up reference too. Got a large stack of old postcards for architecture and I need to sift through my 20k pictures to find ones with relevant clothing. Then I'll need furniture, some horse reference (there's a carriage in the first chapter pulled by two horses) and do some character designs, all so that I can focus on just drawing when the time comes. Let's see what comes out of this approach :D
At worst, I'll have lots of fast drawing practice. At best, a thick graphic novel/enough webcomic for a year or two of updates.
I made a quiz on facebook, just FILLED with foul language. Apparently it's the third most popular quiz on the quiz server now, and I have people adding me as a friend from all over the world.
"we love you
my friends and i
we really like you a lot
not being creepy
well maybe we are
but we really like your quiz"
a message from a girl in new york. This might just get out of hand…
