Thank you.

And don't worry about not getting the clues, as of yet. I always try to make the first night clues as hard as possible. Even more so now.

You can thank Ochi for that one. She figured out every single one of my first night clues in 5 minutes flat, during one of my games.

Yeah PP. She can do the same to me. That is why I ask her to help me write the clues when she isn't playing.

Probably not going to run this next GM election, but I would like to ask a question about the game I've been running with.

Does anyone want to play it? I know this sounds a little egotistical, but in the 10 or so times I've tried to run with this concept, I've gotten three votes at most (I think) in any of the elections. I'm starting to think it might be because people don't want to play it. If this is true, I'll shelve it and come up with something else, but I would really like to see this concept run at least once.

Salsa, you'd get my vote if I wasn't always running in vain. I think the idea is great, but maybe simplify a little? Or add something, I think it's a great game already.

Everyone mark your calenders. Jan. 21st is Mafia's second birthday (24th is the comic's). I truely didn't think we would make it this far. If anyone wants to do anything to celebrate (like some art of something). Now would be the time to do it.

IDEA!!!!

I'm going to suggest something be mentioned in one of the quackcasts that happens around that time, but I was wondering.

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in doing a podcast? I would like to have some of the more visible and active members participate. Let me know and if you have any suggestions about who should be in it post them here.

ANOTHER IDEA!!

During one of the many Mafia AIM conversations, I came across an idea. What if we played mafia how it was meant to be played once?

There would not be a huge amount of participation probably, but it would be fun.

In the IRL version of the game there are usually only 4 role holders. One policeman, One medic, and Two mafia.

During the "night" the police says who they wish to arrest. The Mafia says who they want to kill. (Both mafia have to agree on a single person). The medic says who they want to save. (In IRL this is achieved by everyone having there eyes closed and heads down while the "GM" prompts each role in turn to open their eyes and pick someone.)

The "Night" only lasts as long as the decision making.

With the tradition game, during the "Day" the GM gives a narration of what happened (but there are no clues just a silly story) and the "town" discusses the lynch votes.

However during this, people of the town nominate people for the lynch. And the people vote from a choice of the candidates (usually 2-3).

What I'm proposing is a game that would really last an hour rather than days. It would not be Mafia (whatever number) but just a fun mafia related event.

Consider this a lower stress version of mafia. There is less pressure and no real chance for alliances or betrayals.

I think it would be optimal for something like this to be done on a messenger service like AIM. But I think it can also be adapted for the forums (though it may take longer).

What do people think of just giving this a try to have some fun?

As a one time thing sure. I just don't like the idea of no clues your just voting at random.

So was there really anyone interested in Mafia: The Podcast or playing Speed Mafia, or were these just a passing fancy?

REAL TIME MAFIA
Yeah sure I may be up for that.
I'd need to be told in advance, as my sleep patterns are currently not in sync with you Americans (Read: They're now normal) so I may be gone at the time you're doing it.

Hey guys. How about that podcast? I found out what program Hark and Kev use for the Webcomic Review Comic (On The Web) podcasts. (Talkshoe by the way). But I can honestly say I know nothing about podcasting. It would be great if we get some participants on this talking about mafia. I have some points I would like to go over during it (to reduce rambling) but what does everyone else think?

Hey guys. Me again. I am working on getting more comic pages up. This is going to be the roughest month of my life. (It is my last month in the class room and I got a butt load of assignments and projects due.)

I have decided to cut the current comic off after game 50.

I will then start the new comic with game 51.

I hope by then I will be fully caught up and actually able to draw some pages again. But who knows. I have an internship a ways away from home this Fall. I don't know what I will be able to bring with me. Hopefully my husband (or rather my fiance right now) will let me take the scanner.

PS I'm really upset right now because I had made some pages for game 31, but I lost them in the past year. T-T

EDIT: Found the pages.

Alright guys, after game 50, I'll be making The New Drunk Duck Mafia comic. I have decided to change up the layout and do it now so I can beat the layout changes. Since the last layout focuses on the Mafia, I wanted the new one to focus on a townie role. So, what do you think of this edit of the original? I'm still working on it.

I have a few ideas involving medic or detective. I'll try to make them and post them this weekend.

My idea was going to have the first button be a voting ballot (or just the word vote) and the last button being a mushroom cloud.

That was the ones I was having trouble thinking off. I was thinking about a magnifying glass and a gun (but I suck at drawing guns)
