does the age of a piece of tripe made soley to latch remora-like onto kids attention spans and make them want to buy horrible crap make me feel old? no. it's going to keep being made for decades probably, because it makes money.

does it make you feel embarrassed that you Care?

'cause it should.

I got Scooter as a gift on three consecutive holidays because they kept breaking.

My parents were too cheap for Transformers.

Spongebob came out basically at that point in life where I thought I was too "old" for cartoons, but before I got old enough to realize how immature it is to dismiss an entire genre just based on what it looked like. I still watched other stuff: anime, action shows, what have you, but I tended to avoid Nickelodeon and Disney stuff whenever it came up. Apparently I missed some good stuff, but I think I'll be allright.

They don't show cartoons on Cartoon Network (CN) anymore either.

I remember back when Nickelodeon was all about Rugrats and Aah Real Monsters. Heck, I remember back when Nickelodeon made toys! Anyone else remember gak? That stuff was the best.

Sesame Street is almost as old as Apollo 11, and I still remember the countless obscure Muppet characters, catchy songs, and psychedelic cartoons that graced the program back in the day. Sadly, Sesame Street has changed a lot since some of us last saw it, as evidenced by this clip:

Wait, that's not bad; that's hilariously ingenious! lol!

What makes me feel old is that I remember Thunder Cats, Beast Wars Transformers, and when DragonballZ and Sailormoon first came out. Also Gaiaonline. I mean its filled with 15 and under year olds. Why am I still there? Have no idea but I am.

I felt old the day I was talking about Ren & Stimpy and my 5 year younger brother looked at me like he didn't have the slightest clue what I was talking about. I felt old the day that they stopped showing Tom and Jerry on Cartoon Network during afternoon hours, because it was "outdated". But I don't think Spongebob Squarepants will ever make me feel old, even though it is a surprise that it's been on that long.

it's on during 11-1 here. i come home for lunch sometimes and turn it on!

think you just asked for a rule 34 on this. which as always, is 99.9% NSFW (.1% going to the people who find this okay at certain places of employment)

i remember when nickelodeon stopped airing live action, and went back into cartoons. and then became upset that the new live action sucked when they started that back up.

No, not really. Then again, I was only 9 years old when Spongebob came out.

10 years? holy shit. I remember, I was 7, and I taped every 130-odd episodes of spongebob back in the days when videos we're still around. But does anyone remember Cat-Dog?

Hey guess what? Tom and Jerry was created in 1940-57! And i still grew up on that cartoon.
Me and my friends discovered spongebob in that age, when only girls still liked it because it was 'awwww cute'. We watched all the episodes and felt at least five years younger. The moral of this story: its not how many candles you have on your cake, its how you feel! Ofcource until your teeth wont start falling out… than youre old like hell…
Wacom (yes the company that sells graphic tablets that many of you use) is friggin 26 years old!

UGH! I'd prefer NOT to. :(

what??? I loved that show!

unless you'd prefer not to because it was so good you can't bring yourself to think about it because it is over… I mean I can understand that.

I was seven. Actually, I don't feel old. I feel conflicted.
