i tried to go for a week and i failed…

i blame the vodka, cause after closing time i went directly to a girl's house.

i woke up hungover and im like.
shit. im weak.

so im gonna try celibacy and not drinking for a week.

I went celibate and I'm plesaed with the results…I'm certainly not anymore but yeah. The experience help me learn a bit more about myself and what not.

After escaping a terrible relationship I decided to go celibate becuase I was all bitter. I wanted to get over it and mature. I went on dates and from time to time there would be that awkward moment because I had imposed on myself that I wouldn't even kiss a guy on the lips until I knew a decent chunk about him. After about a month-and-a half, it was natrual. I took matters into my own hands, so to speak, but other than that I had no interest in men (…a fact that seemed to drive my conservative mom, bonkers.).

Things went well until I hit the two-month mark. Suddenly, I had sex on the brain all the time. I had to find an outlet for it and I did…I drew porn. Not good porn but meh. Then I was fine. After two years, I decided to get back on the saddle and now I'm in a mature, commited relationship so I say that as long as you do what's right for you, celibacy can be great…or not. Whatever.

Drawing porn isn't an option for me… I have a 4 year old daughter who loves to scrutinise my work every time I put pen to paper…

Celibacy. Hmm. No I don't think I would last the week.

I'm really not too sure about the whole "committed relationship thing" either. Chemistry is certainly all well and good. I mean, if you can stomach someone else that has control over your a large chunk of your life and feelings. It's a very romanticized idea and I can see the allure. In the end though, I think being around one person for too long just makes everybody miserable. No strings attached random encounters just kind of work for me I guess. I mean, hell, I got laid once after being picked up walking out of a barns and noble. I should make a comic about that. I think I will.

No strings one off encounters may be all well and good for some… but quite frankly in my experience the sex just isn't as damn good as it is with one person who you really connect with.
