My car broke down. The road was all deserted and rural, and there were two streetlights in all, although it was past midnight and pitch-black.
It would have been the perfect true-crime drama or horror film if my cellphone had been out of batteries. I could pretty much already hear the announcer saying "When this college student finished having a couple drinks with friends, no one suspected that on the way home she'd take a wrong turn - a wrong turn into peril!"
And they'd get my friends and professors to attest that I was brilliant and had such a bright future before I was abducted, abused, and murdered by the crazy yodeling hillbillies out for blood that catch people whose cars break down in rural areas. Or, more realistically, by some sociopath passing by in a car. Either way, they'd retrace my steps and that'd be it.
Anyhow, what actually happened was that I called my friend and he came and rescued me by pushing my car without power steering up a hill in the dark at 12:30. S-so awesome o_o;;

Rant, Moan and Rave - 2010 edition
allright, i thoguht my haz mat practical was sunday, turns out it's the practical for the entire fire fighter 1 corse. dude…..im scared pretty shitless right now.Don't worry, dude. I mean its fighting fire. How hard could it possibly be?
What's the worst that could happen?
Jesus, I'm sick as a dog. It started during the graduation, but when we went out to eat afterwards, it got really bad. Luckily, I was able to hold it until we got home, where I skillfully avoided puking all over the place. My legs really hurt now, since I've literally been in bed since 6:00 last night. Had a lot of broken sleep. Threw up another two times… I hope I feel better by tommorrow. I don't want to have to make up my exams…
Ringo is making himself a nest this morning. First he managed to pull one of my doll's dresses into his cage and covered himself with it, so I gave him some bits from a fleece blanket instead. Then when my dad was cleaning up Ringo's poo with a kleenex, he grabbed onto it and tried to pull it into his box.
I never knew rats were such good pets. :) My little sister hates him, though.

but no, I FUCKING PASSED!!!!!i still have to do my written on the 16th, but the practical, all the hands on shit like search and rescue, throwing ladders, haz mat, hose lines, all that other shit i passed! fuck we all did! i cant believe it!practor at the end said he thought he'd never get to tell a whole class they passed! we all worked so hard!like i said, still got my written exam on the 16th, but worste part's over!5 and a half months of getting the shit beat outa me man, im almost there!

I woke up with a terrible backache and a sick lethargic kitten. :( So the name of the game on my day off was worry and agony. Then I discovered a rash on my stomach. How the hell did that get there? I work outside at a park and I'm allergic to poison ivy, but I also wear CLOTHES. :P
I can't call the vet until tomorrow. Sigh.

I just did a concept sketch for practice and it all came out with such bizarre, incomprehensible ease, exactly as I'd imagined it. It was as though drawing had become a natural thing to do. What is this strange new world? o_O

Back on second shift. Actually, I can't wait when they get enough new workers to start the third shifts, that'll mean extra money (third shift has to be paid higher due to government regulations and I don't mind going to bed at 5am, haha).
Too bad my creativity still hasn't recovered. there's simply no energy left in me to draw. Maybe I should tackle another novel instead (not that the first one returned from proofreading, argh).
Actually, I have this project that I wanted to turn into a huge graphic novel, but the content would make it unpublishable through Ka-blam or anything similar (and get me an adult rating here and that with hardly any sex in it…) and certain topics are safer to write about than draw them (too easy to get noticed by the wrong people) so maybe it's time to dust off the original idea, redo the research and make it a novel…
Or I'll just go crazy and write something as long as Henry Darger's In The Realms of the Unreal? Haha, not likely. I mean… 15k pages of typed text? whoah.
Ok, end of rambling, time to plunder some breakfast and boil some tea for work (I can't pour it into the bottle while it's still hot so I have to do it early in the morning).
Actually, on a second thought… I think I'll just try doing research for the graphic novel I wrote recently. It's below 200 pages so it might be the right thing to work on a page a day (and perhaps 2-3 on sundays?)… if I can get back into the drawing mode!

It is. I have no other kittens, Lol. He wouldn't play or be active or even wake up for very long for two days. It seemed to pain him to walk or run. I think he was having digestive problems. He was crying when he used the litter box. He was also dehydrated. So I gave both kitties some wet cat food, and that helped. Then he got really messy in the litter box, so I gave him a bath.
He was up and playing shortly after that. (I got a video.)
He's moving around fine now. I wonder if tummy troubles are just from adjusting to a new home. They are also being treated for Coccidia, so it might be related to that. (The vet thinks the parasite is gone, but wanted to keep up medication for a couple weeks to be sure.) – Oh, and he has gone potty about three times since with neither pain nor a mess, so I think he is feeling much better.
As for the rash, looks like poison ivy. I guess it could be chiggers. I got those on my legs last year. I don't think it's the time of year for that, but anything is possible when you work outside in a forest. Although I am sharing my bed with kittens, they don't have fleas or anything. The vet treated all the kittens with Revolution.
The little female is playing fetch right now. ^_^ I love fetch. I never could find a dog that would play it with me, but this is the fourth cat I've played with that liked the game.

well, it's a little known (verry little known) fact that before we rescue someone, they have to pay us 50 bucks up front before we can move em. for liability purposes. but i would totally move ya and letcha pay later!

I just found out that I graduated with honors. It was a long ordeal this entire semester to get in the final stuff. I was worried that I wouldn't get it. They sent the certificate and medal to my parents' house evidently. My mom surprised me with it today. She had it already framed…the funny things is…I remember changing my address with the honors program last year so anything would arrive at my apartment…oh well. Now I just have to concentrate on grad school.
Getting wisdom teeth pulled sucks, but the attending 4 day drug-induced coma and giddiness were quite pleasant, at least to me. It was a start on making up for the last 2 years of not sleeping enough. Having the week off work helped a lot. I can't afford time off work, but it was worth it. I even decided to go out and splurge and pick up a xbox 360. Now I just need to wait for my next paycheck and maybe pick up a few decent games for it so I can disappear from DD for another couple weeks.
I also found out that quite ironically, my school's IP is permabanned from DeviantArt for "unwarranted behavior and abusive critiquing". They banned the IP of an arts institute. I dare say DeviantArt will never stop providing me with entertainment.
