Just had a weird phone call.

"Hello?"

"Hello?"

"Hello?"

"Hello?"

It may not seem weird reading that, but the thing is that the person on the other end sounded exactly like me. It was freaky, I really thought there was an echo…

I don't like how my sound-a-like is my sister's new boyfriend.

Creepy indeed. My sister's boyfriend is my friend so you never know how it can get worse till you hear that.

WTF? Giant Tetris? o_O
Congrats!

Stale Christmas cake doesn't taste as good as fresh :(

OOo, got ma new LED Teev today. Not much bigger than the last one, but it's thinner, and saves on electricity! The sound is CRAP though- either too basey or too tinny (in the pre-sets) and I have no idea what levels to set its equalizer on for a better result. Looks like I'll have to get a separate sound system… Pity, the speakers/audio software on the other one were perfect so I didn't even have to consider that.
The remote is even bigger and more phallic looking too… I HATE gigantic remotes >:\

Now I just have to wait for my sis to transport the other one to her house miles and miles away. It's hers now :)

Another reason why I totally feel like I live in the twilight zone.

BECAUSE IM 26, MALE, ASIAN, AND SINGLE, I AM A SEXUAL ABUSER

Someone accused me of that with no evidence whatsoever. His only "rationale" was some new-agey-goddess-fake-lovey-dovey-crap… as well as a story about a vietnamese acupuncturist who decided to do oral sex on a patient as an excuse to "suck off the bad energy".

Because I'm asian… I guess I'm like that as well.

LOOK. I KNOW THE NEW-AGE IS A FALSE RELIGION BASED ON SATANIC BLAVATSKY AND ALEISTER CROWLEY ALL WRAPPED UP IN LOVEY DOVEY BULLSHIT AND ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE (that makes sense… well a lie should have some truth in it you know… thats how to deceive people). YOU MAKE ME SICK! LYING BRAINWASHED SEXIST NEW-WORLD-ORDER PIECES OF TRASH! GO TO HELL!

i'd buy one of those if the pink was a little more obnoxious. like bublegum throw up pink.

I would buy that.

This week was so BORING. Nothing interesting happened other than the fact that I disected a frog yesterday. My enitre biology class and I loved it.

I was so angry at the book Life According to Garp. I read 370 pages before I gave up on it. It was so stupid and not creative at all.

By day 3 of the semester, I'd already decided I was going to drop a class. Two part time jobs, freelance illustration and full time student was going to be too much. Between riding my bike an average of 9 miles every weak day to get home and reading about 80 pages a day between two of my literature classes… the first two days came to about 12 hours when all was said and done. One class drop later and I'm riding 18 miles less per week and have 40 pages per night fewer to read (not to mention the misc assignments, tests, and papers). Totally worth it.

Also, my editor asked if I wanted to have my comic strip for the student newspaper run three times a week. I said hells yeah. I feel like doing the money dance >:D

You get paid to do comics for the student newspaper? What school do you go to, as I never got paid once for doing comics for my student newspaper.

I'm at Wichita State University. It varies from place to place- some collegiate newspapers are lab papers and people turn in stuff for credit and such. In our case, we're psuedo-independent (most of the money comes from ad sales, some comes from student fees), and it's basically a low-paying job- we serve a campus with about 15k students. Reporters, photographers, and cartoonists get paid per piece. I've done graphic design for them for about 4 years now and have been on staff longer than any other current student.

After a long enough time, I've learned to watch the changes in pay rates for things. Sometimes I go crazy for doing editorial cartoons. Sometimes I become a columnist (I was a sex columnist last semester >:D). This semester, it's all about the strips.

Watching IT for the first time now. It's okay but OBVIOUSLY a 90's movie. They took out two of my favorite scenes too unless they're gonna happen in the next half. The parts were the refrigerator and lighting the farts on fire. They were probably taken out cause it was originally made for TV, right?
Sometimes the movie reminds me of Goosebumps…annoying right? IT's supposed to be hardcore horror and we got this stuff. A new edition today would be nice.

What!? That's impossible! I've gotten to the last row so many times and was positive I got it and the square miraculously jumped at the last second. I finally gave up and assumed they were rigged. :(

I've officially decided that insulated combat boots are not worth the extra effort it takes to break them in compared to a regular pair of jump boots with a decent pair of thick wool socks. Something about that damn cotton lining in them makes then just flat out refuse to conform to my feet after a full week of walking/running in them for 8 hours a day. Granted, they are warm but trying to get the lining and soles to soften up has pretty much beat hell out of my feet. At least I didn't pay the full $120 price they wanted for them.

Although on a happier note, I get to design a children's benefit poster for a nationally known ad agency as part of my illustration homework. So far this semester's projects have been totally kick-ass fun stuff like packaging design. I have about 40,000 ideas running through my head right now, and it means I get to do something with a happier bent than is the usual.
