Do you think anyone ever manages to use any rating between 1 and 5 when rating a comic?

All I ever see are 5 ratings on crap comics. I notice I've also got 5 ratings on pages that are clearly horrible. I get it that people are just being nice but there's also a false hope thing going on. And for some people getting anything lower than 5 instantly causes them to take offence.

If I have a shit comic id want it rated honestly and be atleast told how to improve it.

it looks like flooding…

Not sure if you're aware but Poland is currently suffering from heavy floods. All the major rivers have huge flooding waves travelling along them, and one is about to hit my city in about 3-4 days. Personally I'm unaffected cause I live uphill something like 100m above the river (and few km away from it too) but I'd rather not see the city underwater, especially that my path to work runs through the lower parts of it, plus I have friends and family living in the areas that might be affected.

In other news, it's 3:30am and I'm going to work in less than 90 minutes. Ugh. And then it'll be back to bed probably.

In other CREATIVE news, I have finished a 170 page graphic novel script. I need to start collecting visual research and will try drawing it daily despite the day job.

Yay!

Awww.

And just swim to work. You can now use the current as an excuse for lateness.

Trying out different drawing techniques and tricks to make doing comics faster. I have the next two chapters scripted, but I wonder if I'll even stick to it, seeing as I have the tendency to veer away from my planned out path. :I

You creative types with your scripts and actually thoughts before making a comic.

I personally crap out a drawing and turn that into a strip.

Personally, I much prefer to fly by the seat of my pants when it comes to progressing my story. Only problem is that it results in plot holes and poorly conceived dialogue. Maybe I'm the only one who notices it, but it's enough to drive me up a wall when I re-read my pages. D:|

Mashups are fun. But I had to add my own bit in there to make it really work :)

When it comes to making comic pages, I must be constipated :(
Severely.

For the millionth time in a row the parade sucked. I live in a small town and it was only about 30 minutes long where we got there thirty minutes earlier.

And my brother's friends are being annoying. They slept over. UGH.

Didn't fix my tablet yet. Didn't find the other pen nibs or whatever they're supposed to be called if that's the issue.

I have 40 mosquito bites and counting.

My sister, the vegetarian, cried over finding a dead baby bird the other day. BAWLED. She's a true environmentalist.

personally I'm indifferent to the Beatles. the word Meh springs to mind.
Ditto.
And I love the word Meh.
tell her to take her head out of her arse.

You know, the Beatles were actually very, very good, if you sit down and listen to their stuff. But all the hype about them was and is crap.

The trouble is that when something is good, people will tell you that, like I'm doing now, and that becomes hype, and that is annoying. :)

But they were good… :P

Just acquired 4 of my 7 books to read and have mapped out how many pages to read of each each day. Unfortunately, The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt is hella long. 800 pages of non-fiction, woot… Gonna have to get that out of the way first.

I agree with you and your italics, Ozone. I wish I could be more appreciative of them, but I've never really been much for easy going music. I'm not satisfied unless there's a big band or heavy drums. :/

/i went and saw shrek 3 with my friend last night…and we were nefariously evil and used out evil ways to gain yet another feature;prince of persia

Shrek was a very nice end to the movie, but one of the things i thought was fucked up was
The evil badguy has a pet goose, and throughout the movie this goose provides comedy relief and is pampered and loved by its evil owner. But at the end of the movie the goose is killed(via fiona's singing) in front of him for comedy relief. That is fucked up, the bad guy was trapped in a cage watching horrified and everything >_<
Persia was…meh. The heroine was extremely hot but she had zero chemistry with the main actor and it was painful to watch at times. Also everyone was blatantly white.

4 you mean?

My brother's friends are finally gone and he acted like a big jerk to try and impress them and is in deep shit cause he ripped a poster off the wall (that he put up) and took streaks of paint off with it. He's so stupid.

Then my family went swimming. I don't want to swim, I didn't go. Hence my being here.

I agree.

I'm not ashamed to tell you all that The Beatles are my favourite band. I don't give a darn how hyped they are.

When I first started listening to The Beatles it was the most unfashionable thing you could do: everybody was better than the Beatles and over the years I've heard countless bands/artists who were "better than the Beatles", all forgotten until it's time to laugh about the clothes we used to wear/things we used to do/music we used to listen to.

You don't last that long, with everybody still saying you are the best, because of hype. Hype is what they use to sell the latest old crap dressed up to look like new.

2am, going to work in 3 hours… argh

I hate the first shift cause my sleeping pattern is all messed up!
I hate the second shift cause I'm missing out on the best "internetting" time (as I go to bed right after work)… but I hate it less than the first shift for at least I can REST PROPERLY!

In other news: there are no other news…

Wow… I got this weird idea in my head for a murder mystery… The murder has the ability to morph minute details about himself… down to his DNA. He doesn't change on the outside, but he can alter himself before a crime to match the characteristics of another person (such as the way the hair is built, fingerprints, skin, all the way down to how his DNA is done) so that now he's got two victims… the person he kills, and the other person he frames. And it'd be a murder mystery that requires old methods to solve…

Okay… better stop drinking that Yuban coffee now… x_x

Can't help it. I've got a hyperactive imagination. Sometimes it's so bad just thinking can tire me out. I even get them when I'm asleep. Sometimes I wonder if my brain is manufacturing some kind of substance that keeps the imagination going… X_X

And anyone trying to read my mind would go insane… sometimes it's like a TV with rapidly changing channels.

Not possible. Some of my ideas are so WEIRD it could drive artists crazy…

Like the one I had about a run down space base on Mars that's suddenly populated by… Care Bears. No… not the ones you've seen in the cartoons, but the exact opposites of them. With deteriorated fur falling off revealing bloody stuffing and bones… And they're all trying to make you dinner… with YOU as the MAIN course. And all you have is a slingshot to defend yourself with and…

Yeah… guaranteed I'll be axed, Aurora would go insane, or Aurora would go insane and THEN axe me so I don't end up infecting anyone else with my insane trains of thought.

I'm not really insane. My trains of thought tend to bounce off the wall and wander into left field…

Time to go work on another comic which I just started yesterday. Whoever posted that entry of me in TV Tropes was accurate… I create too many comics for my own good. X_X

Nice idea, unfortunately I have barely enough time to draw my stuff (and I'm still not back in the creative patterns due to the job).

Rotting care bears… I think it's a COOL idea :D

In other news: I've been moved on the line from taping the boxes to packaging bases of the tv sets into plastic bags. Whereas the previous was quite enjoyable, this is really annoying at times. Also, each model comes with its own bags, so it's getting kind of messy over there with five different types of bags laying around.
But hey, at least we got us a new logistic and this one, although seemingly absent most of the time, appears to be a lot more organized and we didn't run out of bags more than ONCE in the entire day. Considering that with the old one we had thjat trouble constantly, I'd say it's already a great progress.

Yesterday we were off to a great start and packaged almost 350 sets in two hours… and then it came out that the production was standing in place the whole time so by the lunch break we had barely 20 more done.
We ended the day with almost 500 as the production picked up in the later hours, but overall it was a total waste of time (again). Oh well, I'm doing my job whenever I can do my job and they're paying me anyway whether I'm going full steam or just standing around waiting.
Although having something to do is actually better because then the time is flying faster (just don't look at the clock every minute).
