A lot of times I still have to order cds or records straight from the distributor or record company, or off ebay or whatever for out of print junk.
Ya- e-bay is a saviour!

I was trying to track down an obscure cd a couple of years back and resorted to contacting the artist via myspace, the record company didn't exist anymore so he just sent me a copy. Was well chuffed.

Is wierd that while I was driving, the Ghostbusters theme came on and I turned the radio up max (up to 11, ho ho ho) and screamed out the words much to the displeaure of my mother?

Same thing happened with YMCA, Bohemian Rhapsody and Bad Moon Rising…
Not weird at all.

i googled chuffed and got "(of a steam engine) Move with a regular sharp puffing sound." i have no idea how to relate this to music….unless it was dubstep..

Everything i preorder i get "special edition". except portal 2. but then they let me download it early, and when the release date "happened" they unlocked it and everyone could play.

As far as music, there was a band that i ripped onto my original xbox, and somewhere along the line i lost the Disc. I didn't see it for years, and one day the band came to town, and i took all my cash to buy up their albums…They said "unfortunately, those are out of production"
At the end of the concert the lead singer came up and handed me 3 burnt discs, with all their music including an album that they produced by themselves in their garage before they even made a demo for companies. It's my happiest concert OF ALL TIME.

Fools, sometimes songs come on, and you just gotta dance and sing to. everyone does it, although not everyone does it to the same songs.

I do this. People won't ride in my car with me when I have Sega's Magical Sound Shower playing in my car MP3 player… I tend to floor the pedal when I hear that music. >:)

Ugh… I feel so sluggish and lethargic today again. I'd love to know why. Even typing this post is taking some mental effort. All I seem to want to do for 16 hours a day is sleep. And if I could, I'd end up sleeping all 48 hours of the time off I get from work. x_x

i had a dream that we were having a party. i had to drive to get there. Ayes rode in my car. there were stop lights every 30 feet. somehow in between lights i was accelerating to 70 and slamming on my brakes to avoid accidents… she yelled at me telling me i was a horrible driver…. she got out of the car…then i woke up.

hmm - I think you mean Ally

I would have been singing - I'm definitely one of the most annoying song-singing drivers and passengers there is. I can carry a tune, but I never remember the words

I had a lazy day, too. Got some weeding done – always a most bountiful crop of weeds to be had, and tried to get into proofreading this document so I can get a report written - but, you see, there's tomorrow

where did that procrastination thread go?

where did that procrastination thread go?

I think it became redundant, people were procrastinating so much they put off posting in it.

Ugh, can't find a music player that I like. iTunes never fails to to make me incredibly frustrated. I've always been happy with Windows Media Player, but since I got Windows 7 for whatever reason it's been acting up. It doesn't like me to add songs to the library.
All I want is something that looks organized, shows album art and lets me easily edit song and album information. But so far nothing has all that.

I have zune. works pretty well. It supports itunes libraries, but i don't know if you can transfer music from that to your ipod.

I know it was you, ayes, cause there were flowers in my car, and all i could see were those ayes.

I don't imagine you can, but I very rarely sync my ipod so that doesn't matter too much.
Edit: Hey, so far I like it! Thanks!

Only just finished a page for Monday that I've been working on since early this morning, phew. It took me longer than usual because I was distracted by the current Mafia game and flooding it with doodles, as well as trying to work out what exactly is going on.

Tomorrow is the school athletics carnival, and due to my 80 year old granny hips, I won't be participating, but I will be sitting in the stands judging people like the cranky middle-aged woman that I really am on the inside. However, it should be a good oppertunity to drawn up some more pages for the rest of the week.

NCIS LA sucks. The other version is way better. They have the same sorts of character interactions, character traits and personalities directly ported over but the plots are moronic, uninteresting and perfunctory.
…at lest that is how the single episode I saw was anyway.
Lame…
I know it's not fair to judge the whole series based on one episode, but it was so lame I won't bother watching another.

Got home from work around 2, tried to go straight to bed and was unusually slow going to sleep. Then I woke up for no f*cking reason at quarter til five, struggled to go back to sleep without much success, and now have to go work a 16 hour day on like, three hours sleep.

Also today is day two of sobriety. Yes, I know it's not even eight in the f*cking morning but it's not like there's much of a chance of my drinking before noon; so there's still a chance that this could be two straight days, if I can avoid drinking during lunch or going out after work tonight. I'm tryin' to make it a week. Partly to save money, and partly to see if I can. So place yer bets on how long I stay on the wagon. (Pro tip: Last time I lasted 36 hours)

I think you'll last all week. The first week is the hardest, but if you survive that, you may not want one again for a while.

you can do it, Hyena!

I like my three-buck-chuck (that is an understatement – inexpensive wine for those with no Trader Joe access) but I'm starting day 10 of doing without. No beer either – altho I did cheat twice with a teensy glass of port.

I MISS it, but had to because I was taking some scrips, and then wanted to see how long I'd go without.

to all you Dads: Happy Father's Day!

a friend told me I can infiltrate a high school successfully… if I slip on a student uniform or "dress like a teenager". No need to dress up like a ninja and do a night time infiltration… or something like that.

But then again, why will I infiltrate a school? To steal test answers perhaps? Maybe I can do that? $5000 to infiltrate a high school. $10000 to infiltrate a university… lol! Maybe I should put up ads in the paper that reads something like "GUARANTEED 100% IN THE TEST FOR YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS!!!" lol!

It must be because I'm Asian. And Asians age slowly until about age 40.

Somebody even did a cartoon of it.

I still get asked for ID when I buy alcohol even if I'm over 25!!!

You just get scarier and scarier Kyu. -_-
Try "infiltrating' as a schoolgirl :)

I like a drink, but my system just isn't robust enough to handle that sort of level. I've learned from long and painful experience just exactly where my limits are.

The only thing I don't seem to be able to do without for too long are lollies… that's "sweets" to the Poms and "candy" to the Yanks. I try… But I just neeeeed some chocolate, jersey caramels, marshmallows, something sweet to snack on. As long as it's not a chocolate bar- unless it's dark chocolate, I hate the crappy chocolate they use in normal commercial chocolate bars.

@Seventy- "Chuffed" means "happy", "pleased", etc. :)

Well then, that whole sentence now makes sense.

Glad you like it hippy! Welcome to the Windows side of things….MWAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAA

I now have The Legend of Zelda: OoT 3ds. The 3d is hard to play with, however, it makes the cut scenes amazing. And it's been so long since i replayed the game, all the puzzles are like brand new to me. so other than the story line, it's a "new game".

Skullbie, you can live on knowing that that baby chicken will feed a new generation of hawks, which will die and become grass, and seed, that your next generation of baby chickens may live on. that is the circle of life.

I like a drink and I know my limits, but when I've had a few I choose to ignore them and get bladdered. Then regret it the next day.

@Skullbie – so sorry to hear that. I guess the chicken was out wandering around? because the pen you had looked invulnerable.

so 9 days it is. Just had a lovely chilled chardonnay, lookin at the fleurs with a pleasant June breeze, thinkin of the paper work sittin on the desk (Allo - paperwork).

limits? known, frequently obeyed. I find staying hydrated (water and more water) helps immensely, but then I end up spending Way Too much time finding new details to stare at in the bathroom.
