Back?  Finally?!  Finally.
I had a six-month consistent updating streak before we tried to make the switch.  Now I have the sadness of starting over.
But welcome back, Duck.  Nice to see you again.

First recomend that I wish to throw in… Put the page navigation tool on top, as well as the back,
Hm… Yeah… Need to start a thread dedicated to stuff like that.
At any rate… glad to see the duck back in business.

Am I the only one that it looks like buttons and text has been barfed everywhere, and over each other?
And that the half the layouts options do not work?

A rant that doesn't involve the new duck!
———
Oh god i've been wanting to rant to someone who will listen forevveerrrrrr. (i find it sad that i only find satisfaction in the form of this thread anymore.
I moved. mostly. i asked for help, 1 month ago, when i found out my closing date. sent out a reminder 2 weeks ago. Created a facebook event a week ago.
Only one person showed up to help. it took us 3 hours and we only got one trip in. (two trucks) then the weather showed massive amounts of thunderfucking death headed our way, so we called it quits.
I feel simultaneous anger and sadness. I've helped everyone move. sigh. i think i've lost a lot of friendship, but i don't know to what…(there were 2 more people that i know would have showed up, but were in a different states
———
nevermind, here's a rant…the page is tiny, and i can't put spaces between paragraphs. it makes me feel as tho my thoughts are jumbled together.

Well it's back and it's horrible on the eyes.  I cannot use the site like this.
Is this going to be addressed?  All the posts about it in the get satisfation thing were ignored which is disgraceful.  The colours are too hard on the eyes, I vannot even look at the screen as i type, this is NOT an exaggeration.  For a site so dependent on the community having unusable forums it an extremely bad move.

*sigh* I still think the new site looks like garbage.
I guess having it pushed on me for months through previews didn't make the colours any more tolerable.

Real life rant: My boss likes to play favourites, and it's really awkward with only three of us who all really like each other. The former manager gets the worst of it, and gets blamed for everything that goes wrong(and a lot of things that don't really). Meanwhile she's decided she loves the other girl, and is giving her about 8 hours a week more than me. I want to ask for one of the other girl's long shifts so our hours are even, but I don't want to piss off my boss before my probationary period is over. But if I don't get more hours I have to find a new job.

Oh, well…  I don't care for the colors either, but we take what we can get, right?  I guess from now on I'm going to wear shades in front of my computer whenever I go onto DD.

Well.. time to start drawing again.  Hopefully I get a new Magiversity comic out by next week… no promises though.  Not too happy having to switch picture formats though (jpg to pcx), but I guess it's all for the best.

Ugh… put out the cover for a new "adult" comic on another site while DD was down.  Now that TD is functioning I'll be adding to it once this story is done (also decided to put the comic on TD).  Hopefully…

Maybe a good community project is to create a webcomic about the adventures of The Duck while he was still tanked/hammered/wasted/etc…  that could be fun.

…AAAAAAAAAAAAAND YOU'RE BACK IN THE ROOM.

Finally! I'm glad it's back up! I CBF complaining about any of it, however, it's over and done with, and it's not gonna change. I'm definately glad to be back up and posting.
And to start my first rant on the new site:
Care Bears.

What the hell! I remember watching them when I was really little, and I was completely obsessed with the colourful rainbow bears living in some magic cloud palace with rainbows and sparkly things everywhere (that kind of thing appealed to my short attention span) but I saw it on TV and they've got new episodes where everything is all 3D and computer animation.

It was so much better when it was cartoony and everyone was singing about caring and being themselves. Now its just shit.

Ugh… that sounds pretty bad from how you're describing it.  I just saw the new Voltron cartoon at Nicktoons myself.  Not too happy about it at the moment.  I guess I'll give it some time and see how well it turns out.

Loving the new Transformers Prime episodes though.  Having Peter Cullen and Frank Welker reprise their roles makes it classic for me.  Kinda sad they killed off the Cliffjumper character though… would've been neat to have Dwane Johnson around as part of the main cast.  :)

They're always screwing up old children's shows that used to be awesome. If it ain't broke, dun' fix it, yeh wankers! I'm actually quite depressed by the sudden drop in quality of children's shows, they're all crappy teenage dramas for some reason that try to be vaguely amusing andjust turn out incredibly annoying and you just want to rip your eyes out when you see them mentioned, anywhere, (case and point, Hannah Montanna).
I miss the witty kids shows that fed the child-genius, like King Arthur's Disasters. Rik Myall needs to create more shows. I demand it.

Maaaaan, is it me or did they make the Forums really difficult and complicated to navigate through? I feel that its some puzzle that I have to work out, the prize to working it out being that I get to the next thread.

I'd like to know when we can get our banner images back if they're still there.  I'd like to upload the comic logo for the SSS comic I just put up here on TD.

I don't know exactly why, but I do miss one old Canadian show called "You Can't Do That on Television".  You know… the one with the motormouth teen named Lisa Ruddy whose vocal cords seemed to be powered by the Energizer Bunny, or the result of uttering the words "I Don't Know" on stage… heh…

Well… To be honest; I prefer people bringing up that they don't like
the colors. I'm not being overly nagging about it right now because we've got other more pressing matters to deal with (edit: http://www.drunkduck.com/forum/topic/169969/).

However, the moment things quiet down, I'm probably going to create a thread to
protest the current color scheme. Just a heads up to those who care.
Edit:God dammit! Why is it so frigging hard to make links that take you to
the place you want people to go!? This is what I was trying to link to:
http://www.drunkduck.com/forum/topic/169969/
Another Edit: Mshnfgh… Editing your post is sheer pain. The only reason why I'm making (in theory) any progress is thanks to the fact that I took a class in HTML editing. I'm seriously gonna stop posting here if this isn't resolved. This forum is unusable.

You know what? I just spent half an hour trying to quote loneheart's post about the color scheme and then write my two cents about it and this is the best I could muster.
The forum is utterly unusable.

Product:  I couldn't even discern where your one post stopped and the second began.
Last night I had the same problem when trying to quote someone.
I'm beyond disappointed.  These last three months have been an exercise in absurdity.

Probably because someone didn't check the CSS to see if it actually works.
The usability is bad on the forums for that, but there's no excuse for having to hunt down the options for trying to customize your comic's template, Someone had to tell me where it was.
The links for the PQ's, Requests, and the control Panel are too small and it's not obvious they're links.
Not enough contrast between the blue text and the yellow background. Having the Forum posts right aligned and no formating to differentiate between what someone's posting and what someone's quoting is just stupid. The right align especially since any language that uses the Latin alphbet reads left to right.
Having favorites open on the side is pretty nice, Having them open at the top of comic pages isn't.
Honestly, They had over six months to get the styling worked out, there's really NO EXCUSE for it.
