Are they seriously deleting posts that say comicfury? Seriously?

Nah - there's nobody here but us chickens. I just need a few cups of coffee before I can work this thing.

Ugh… I've got a headache…  and I don't feel very happy either…

I'm probably seeing this wrong, but one of the tenants at my work site is seeing a man I think… she was walking with him and now I see his car parked at her place on some nights.  And this man happens to be a new tenant.  So what's the problem?

She's got a husband, an air force guy who's been away for a while…

I'm trying not to take this wrong, and I'm trying to tell myself it's none of my business, but when I see them getting intimate at her front door I just want to run away.

Blech… maybe a gallon of coffee and the fact that tomorrow will be my last day of the weekday grind should be comforting…

You're good to go - I don't think Lonnehart mentioned CF.

@lonnehart, if i saw someone possibley cheating on their significant other, while they're away do to military obligations, i would be in such a FURY, it would be COMICal.
But on a serious note, i think that's the lowest form of cheating. i would punch them right square in  the face.

Too much rain… can't sleep… can't wait for that typhoon north of me to finally go away and take its rain bands with it….  they sound pretty horrible.  If I could afford it, I'd take a vacation in Austraila.  But I'd probably wear steel wire woven clothing.   I've heard that the pickpocketing is pretty bad over there… and that the pickpockets have the ability to steal your underwear without you becoming aware… while you're WEARING it.  O_O

Really? Australia is known for pickpocketting?

Learn something new every day!

I say, if you're really worried about it, carry lots and lots of beer cans in your bag, so potential pickpocketters get distracted and take the beer instead of yo' money.

Well, I remember reading that it was pretty bad in Sydney some years ago.  Not sure if that's still true, though.  The Discovery Channel did something on it.  That place has nothing on Peru though… the kids don't care if they strip you down to your underwear as long as they can get to your wallet.  And a whole gang of them can be pretty fast in cutting all your clothing off.

Oh wow, there is a seedy underbelly to Sydney that I never knew.
I still think you'd be alright though, it just depends on here you go. You've just go to stay away from the seedy areas like Kings Cross and Vicotria street which are the crime centres of Sydney.

Nothing on Melbourne though. That's the crime capital of Oz.

That's why I tell all visitors to never. EVER. Go to the western suburbs of Melbourne. That's where all the bashings of Indian Students occurred several months ago.

I just recieved a rather large (or at least large by my standards) commission and was discussing the details with my client. One of her characters is "the son of ghost rider" and I had to ask an obvious yet awkward question; "Does Ryder have a flaming skull head?"
I haven't gotten a response yet, but if he does, I should have charged her more. ) : These are Monster High original characters and I'm drawing them in-style… not only have I never drawn a dude in this style before, but there certainly aren't any skull-headed characters to reference from. I know I can pull it off, it's just going to take extra effort.

Ugh… I guess I'll try to sleep again and work on my first "SSS" comic tomorrow.  Called "The Mushroom Fairy".  No… it's not the kind of mushroom fairy that makes your mind go all weird.  I just hope I can finally get to sleep soon despite all the heavy rain I'm taking at the moment due to the typhoon that's north of where I"m at…

As far as I know, no one's deleting posts that mention Comic Fury. If someone's post was deleted it was probably some random bug? I feel like a post I made in this thread last night has gone missing too, I'm sure I made a post reiterating that the image compression was NOT intentional and they are looking into it.

As long as the "Hey guys, comic fury comic fury comic fury!! doesn't get out of hand I don't mind if people say they are going there or whatever. If DD is losing site members to its competition because of perceived inadequacies, fair enough. (Fair warning though, no threads solely to advertise comic fury.)

Salsa: This text editor is actually some open-source third party thing they've plugged in. The only things that are actually broken are the quoting formatting and line breaks. If they could get those working it'd be okay.

Wow. I seriously woulldn't hold my breath for them getting any customization tools right if they can't even get a simple text editor right.
(Pssst: hey kid, wanna edit some HTML?)

So basically it's been tacked on (from my point of view).  Are they taking note of the comments on the color scheme?  I'm kinda getting tired of having to wear sunglasses while reading this forum.  ow…

I had no idea you could hide your quotes.  Or is that part of the malfunction?  Works like those spoiler tags though.

Not looking forward to work tonight.  Because eventually that woman's husband will come back, find out what happened while he was away and…  Let's just say when stuff hits the fan, I have to clean it up… or call the local police in to do it.  And I'm not keen on doing either…  And he'll probably ask me what I know about the situation.  I'd play dumb, but I feel obligated to tell him as much as I know and…

Yeah… and that's why I'd rather run away than see this sort of mess.  -_-

I dunno what you mean by hiding quotes, I'm guessing whatever you're seeing is not supposed to be happening.

People have been complaining about the colors from day 1. For whatever reason their designer has been very resistant to changing it. Because everybody knows the first version of a design is the best one! We've constantly asked them to change the forum colors especially, but no, it's always "That's a low priority, it's easy to adjust later." Then adjust it now!!! Sorry, it's one of the few things I'm completely frustrated with them about. They haven't even darkened the text to increase the contrast like they kept telling us they were going to do. I'm glad people are complaining about it becasue the more complaints they get the more "important" it becomes for them. (I suspect most designers subscribe to a "if it's really bad, lots of people will complain" mentality.) Generally speaking they've said they plan to implement "user customization" features including probably an ability to make the pages different colors, but to me that sounds like a very low priority thing looking at the other stuff they need to do.

Trust me this is now how I want to spend my vacation time, spending hours a day looking at these forums with Oz travelling for a month and not able to help very much. I know how you feel about wanting to avoid rather than do what you're supposed to. :]

Also- is anyone else getting slightly wrong formatting on this page, after the 3rd post? The posts stop fitting in the column and push out to the right, and mess up the sidebar and the various page buttons placements.

Yes, I'm getting exactly the same effect. There are rocky outcrops like that all over the site though.
If anything I think they're more likely to make the text lighter, so nobody can read our constant complaints and references to ComicFury.

thanks everyone for bringing rage comics here.

the only thing that's really annoying me about people leaving or having certain issues is that they keep making their own threads for it.
could we just make one forum so they can complain there?

@Leet
We haven't left yet because we're trying to get as many people over to CF as possible, and quite frankly we're succeeding, CF forus looks more like DD than these ones do now. If you saw your friends on a sinking ship you'd want to throw them some life rafts.
