I guess it's something on my end.  You're all still red X's here…  hence why I loaded up a new avatar since mine was missing too…  oh,well…

Ugh… so easily distracted from drawing.  Even worse… I'm in my room alone where nothing can possibly bother me and I'm still distracted.  Like a bunch of TV channels in my head but with someone else using a remote to change them.  blech…

Yeah… I use "blech" a lot.  I used to use "rats", but I was told that word was offensive to Europeans… especially the descendants of those who survived the Bubonic Plague.  Then again I shouldn't believe too much of what forum posters tell me…

Now back to draw…. oooh…. History Channel is showing the history of Ice Cream!   :)

You can have it, you'll just have to re-upload it! (This goes for everyone with a currently broken banner really.)

Click on your userpic in the sidebar —->
Click on the blue "images" button to open your image locker
Upload your banner image, then copy the URL it gives you
Now click on the blue "forums" button
Then use the text editor to insert image, using the URL you copied

It's a couple of steps but more or less the same as it used to be. The difference here is that the images are now stored in your user profile, and not within a comic area. So I suspect that's the reason the images couldn't easily be migrated over.

Ah… that worked.  Thanks.  I have my banner back now.  :)

Ugh… I think my mouse is starting to malfunction.  Randomly slowed tracking, the mouse pointer going where it shouldn't go…  A demon face appearing on the wall when I lift my mouse and aim that tracking laser on it… O_O

I am full of very trivial rants today…
The new banana timbits(donut holes for all you non-Canadians) look exactly like the plain glazed ones. So I keep accidentally eating the banana ones, which are really gross.

I re-arranged the super crowded treats section at work because it was slow. Came in the next day and my boss had put everything back. It was especially irritating because some of the stuff I moved because it didn't make any sense; like brands being split up, or one random garbage treat being in the good section. That's the last time I do something I wasn't asked to do, I guess.

Baby wanted to get down from the top of our eight-foot-tall cat tree, but one of the other cats was in her way. So she tried to get down a different way, and fell. On me. With her claws out. OUCH.
She also managed to scratch all the way down the roof of the bunny house I'm building. :(
(She was fine.)

so my hands have been dry, partially because of my gloves. I'm currently working in a fish procesing factory, mostly salting the fish. Because my hands are getting so dy I'm starting to get small cuts on my fingertips. Last week I had cuts on my left hand, but now they've transferred over to my right hand, which is a little bit better 'cause now I'm able to play my guitar again…

One of my cats walked on the keyboard and stepped on just the right combination of keys to flip the entire display sideways. I couldn't remember the combo to get it back, so I had to google how, all while the screen was sideways.
By the way, the combination to turn your screen is ctrl + alt + one of the four arrow keys, depending on what way you want to turn it.
Also, I'm getting an ad for Bing… in French? I have no idea why… I don't speak French, haven't visited any French websites… Odd.

Ha, my cats have done that a couple times too! They loooove my laptop. The worst was when I had one with the power button facing straight up, above the keyboard. The kitties shut it down while I was doing something important about a gazillion times.

Heh… I was expecting you to end up as an insane superhero with the power of the internet behind you… and a powerful aversion to "poo gas"…

Hay guys.

Does admin or mod show on anyone's names yet? I see the forums still fail on android unless javascript is turned off… :[

-
Still on holiday for another 2 weeks. It's been great fun at times and amazingly trying at others- trying people, trying situations.
Saw all over LA today. Big place. Beverly hills is like any upmarket suburb anywhere… Venice beach is more interesting though. The tourist parts of Hollywood are so touristy they make all tourist traps cry at their own inadequacies! Seriously, I thought comic con was packed with seas of teaming humanity, Hollywood made that crowd look like a well washed, neat, polite, cultured ballet audience! Pushing, shoving…

Anyway, I'm feeling a little low now. Boooring…

No oz, no identifier yet. But more importantly we don't have any mods at all right now. :] And there's a moderate list of other things that I really think need to be fixed too. The forums are almost completely dead right now anyway, I suspect partially due to their current design.

I did have a really nice quackcast recording with Hawk though. We had fun without you, nyeah nyeah!

My holiday is over tonight… I really, really wish it wasn't. :[ I'm really not enthusiastic about getting back into it and doing all the stuff I gotta do. Most of it isn't hard (except one thing that I have a HUGE block about), it's just… I dunno, maybe I dont' like my job any more.

That's why I avoid Hollywood, always. Nothing good can come of it. Besides, Hollywood Blvd is boring and there is really nothing to do there since all the movie studios moved up to Burbank.

Y'know what's really getting to me? In every profile, the word "recommended" is spelled "recomended."

"Comics recomended by…"

I keep thinking it's going to be rectified, but I guess because it's part of a header, most people overlook it…?

oh whoops, forgot to actually do the rant/vent/share part.

It seems like I'm helping someone move every other week. It sort of feels like I've been handling other people's possessions more than I've had a chance to see my own lately!

Wow… they keep changing up the text entry box for the forums.  And I hate how dead the forums seem to be.  Hopefully something will get done to attract more people to them.  Oh, well..

Sometimes I wonder if my existence will end soon.  I mean… things that should've happened in my life haven't happened.  It doesn't help that opportunity knocked on my face several times and I was too blind to see it.  *sigh*  Or maybe something nice will happen later… but only when I'm too old and too short on time to enjoy it.  Times like these tempt me to start taking the road my uncle took and just drown my sorrows on some hard liquor.  But thanks to my parents and seeing my grandfather so weak from his drinking (and the medical books showing what a severe alcoholic's liver looks like) I won't take that route.  And if I ever have children I'll do what I can to teach them moderation… and show them what a liver looks like after drinking way too much beer several years in a row.

I guess I'll just live out the time I supposedly have left and see what happens.  And if family history is any indication, that's about 5 to 20 years before I pass on.  :(

Yeah, the forum being dead kinda bites for me as well, even if I myself do not personally post as much as I used to (I still lurk like a champ though). Perhaps more community projects would help rustle up some attention and spirit?

Hmmm…
.
Community projects you say?
Here's some suggestions:
- Writing the Drunk Duck song. And singing it!
- 2011 People Faces - The swimsuit edition!
- Who can draw the most beautiful dolphin?
- Digital Barbeque Party! (DBQ!)
- Starting up Civil War again! (Or Planet Drunk, World War Drunk, Secret Invasion, Drunk Reign, Siege, Fall of the Drunks, Drunk Man's Land, The Walking Drunks, Fables)
- Design your own Forum!
- Creating a Drunk Duck Video Game!
- Creating a Hundred The Duck Background Images! (1920x1080)
- Writing the very next Making Comics just like Scotty!
- The Quackcast week, 7 daily Quackcasts by the Community!
- Creating a clothing line!
- Writing a Drunk Duck animation series!

I'm still working on that…I wrote the music part to it, giving it a folk-esque thing, but I'm having such a hard time writing the lyrics. :/
Send it to me! I shalt give thee lyrics beyond thine wildest dreams!

I wrote like a chorus or something but the paper with it on it is somewhere around in my notebook.
But you know what, I'll go ahead and send that later. Just let me find it. :)

Hello drunk funkers! This is your absent admin speaking. I'm currently enroute to New York from LA, flying over 10,000 feets high in the air and lord knows how many kilometres!
