What version do you have?
Ihave the latest version of Firefox and it works fine for me… Maybe you should try geting an older build of adblocker? There are all different ones here:

It's perfectly stable for me. I use it one XP, Vista, and Windows 7 comps all the time with no issues what so ever.
I HAVE had issues whith Chrome though (monor ones).  I also use Internet Explorer 9 occassionally, and constanty use Seamonkey 2.3.3… seamonkey sometimes has isses, but usually an updates come along to fix them right away, so it's all good. :)

-Seamonkey is like a "pro" version of Firefox… without all the dumbing down. You have a lot more control of advanced features, whereas all that is hidden now in Firefox. -_-

Truly bizarre!
I use it on seven + completely different machines and never run into any of that… I suspect it's not Firefox generally, but rather something on your machine itself maybe? Could be corrupted installation files? I dunno.
Glad Chrome works for you though :)

Firefox is completely stable for me (on a Mac). No problems. Worth it for the ad blocking alone.

My 6-yr old PC is XP with SP1.  I - well, was Neglient, in a word, and now am thoroughly challenged on how to get "Ol Betsy" to accept an upgrade to SP2.

The ONLY browser that will work in my oddball situation is Firefox.

So my husband has been Very impressive about respecting all the time that's gone into the radio play.  But now he's requested several hours tomorrow to power off so he can address some of the refurb we need to do from the flood a couple of weeks ago.   What this means to you:  the update tomorrow might be late – if at all.

and hey:  Happy Sweet 16, bravo  :-)

I would like to make a plug for the awards in here and say that though we have a lot of votes so far, there are many multi ties….so save me from making tie breakers and vote.

Well… I've decided.  I'm going to buy a bicycle instead of car parts.  I do need the exercise and with gas prices being so high bicycling to work will work well for me.  Now if only I could find a way to fend off the feral dogs that like biting bicycle tires and cycler's ankles…  Then bringing down the bike and tearing the cycler to shreds…

And just yesterday I find out how to fix my headphone wires.  You know… the ones with the green/gold/red wires and the cloth fiber intertwined with them?  If only I had figured out how to fix them years ago… turns out that coloring on the wires is a coating and I just have to use a fine grain sandpaper to expose the wire underneath, allowing me to splice them normally…

Now I'm tempted to cover my head with a paper bag out of shame…

Oh… and Gene, don't ever let that snake near me.  My first reaction would be to kill it.  Unfortunately it's the usual reaction we all have over here thanks to the Brown Tree Snake eating all our local birds into extinction…

@Genejoke:  was this a pet-store-pet-food mouse, or a house mouse?
The idea of a "mouser" snake instead of a cat is kinda cool – although I'd totally freak if a snake slithered on up to me when I wan't expecting it.  Maybe even if I was expecting it.

We're still in the long haul for recovering our previously-finished basement.  It looks like a refuge camp in the living room and dining room – but the DR generally looks like that anyway.   The idea of dusting/vacuuming just seems absurd, so I put it off and off.  bleh

My main computer is getting closer to dying, lots of random freezing…

I was such an idiot! I felt so secure with all my backup comps that I didn't bother upgrading my main machine back when I should have, and instead I spent most of the money I'd normally set aside for that freely (very freely) on my Cintiq, big TVs, stuff for the other comps, holidays, gifts for friends, clothes, whatever…

So now all my backup comps are really too old or just under-spec to properly serve as stand-ins for my main machine and I'm at the point where I HAVE to spend the money now on a new one, after shelling out $1400 at the dentist and untold thousands on my month long holiday.

I CAN afford a new machine, a good one, without eating into my savings, BUT I really, really want to be able to build UP my savings again after cutting into them for my damn holiday, and I can't fricken DO that if I keep having to pay dentists and buy new computers! Grrrrr! So any big money I spend now is painful because of that.

Anyway, I've bought a new graphic card instead… on the theory that it might fix my current woes on the main work comp. If it does then that'll by me time to look around for a decent replacement at a good price so I'm not forced to settle for something that doesn't do all I need (a decent laptop). THEN I can go about rebuilding this old bugger into something more current!

pet food mouse.  a mouser snake would be cool, although blizzard (that's his name as he's white) spends all his time in the vivarium at the moment,  we've only had hm a matter of days though.

Ugh… in a few days I will have my hands on a bicycle.  And I'm going to have to setup a rig that will allow me to carry cargo with it.  Namely a wet weather parka and goggles to go over my glasses in case of rain.  And maybe a basket attachment for carrying groceries in.  And a lighting system for nightime riding, including neons to glow on the wheels as I ride so people can see me… including all the drunks, meth addicts and road ragers.  -_-

Had the wife in stiches all day yesterday with the Pirate talk.  Robert Newton's got nothing on me.

Picked up the car the that extended warrantee came in handy.  You know it's over $3000 of labor to change the timing belt on a Subaru?  I only paid for parts.  They have to take everything apart to do it.  Remember when changing the fan belt was just a simple glance under the hood and doing the timing was shining a lamp on said belt while adjusting the pully?

Once upon a time even I could fix a head gasket, which I did on my ancient Olds Calais last century.

The wife is off to San Fran with her friend and I'm here left to fend for myself for eight days.  Anyone want to come over and trash my already trashed house feel free to barge in, I may even answer the doorbell.

Booze, pool, and strippers!

There, I've planned your week for you. It's a gift. :)

…No, That was me week in New Orleans… The cheapest part of my holiday by far ^_^
