Just got back from the Junior College here in town (Modesto). Had to take care of some transcript stuff. Went to talk to my old professor afterward and found out they cut the ENTIRE Television/Film/Radio/Journalism program.
Back in 2006 the spent millions on a new media center, and now the programs that it was intended for have been eliminated from the curriculum.
Well that was interesting. Just because you think what you're saying is the most important thing in the world doesn't mean the rest of the world wants to read it. That's also the reason I don't blog. I talk to myself enough thank you.
Old? Ozone only sounds old. Been there, done that, got the tee-shirt. My drawer has a lot more tee-shirts. I also have a closet full of hats though like most Americans they're all baseball caps with stuff written on the front. Even a NASCAR one. Can't be a dumb American without a NASCAR hat. :)
The wife went back to work today. I'm working tomorrow night. It'll give me a chance to get some reading and writing done.
I'm taking tai chi and it's so hard for me to take it seriously. But if you've studied other martial arts, it'll improve your stance ten times. Every instructor in every martial art I've had has started out by talking about the importance of stance and balance- and maybe spent an hour or two on it. Both of the tai chi instructors I've had started the same way… and then proceeded to spend two months emphasizing it. The problem isn't with it as a martial art, so much as the way it's taught- with a few tricks, you can turn it into a serious workout that has some pretty direct martial application.
I feel like I'm water bending.
But… Yeah. It does kinda feel like water bending.

So, my page views just jumped up dramatically. I'm guessing it has something to do with being on the front page :3
I took a nap today and when i woke up my mom had bought me a teddiursa plush and a pack of cards(yes i am 12). She left it in front of my computer and it was aweeeesome./ xP
She now doesn't get why teddiursa isn't "the most poplar pokemon ever" because the plush is incredibly cute.
Me and the girlfriend are going to see Russell Howard next week at the Odyssey arena on Tuesday night. Got the tickets at the last minute. We werent going to go because she got tickets to see Lee Evans in November as well. But for some reason she wants to go out. I dont mind though. She bought the tickets.

I complain a lot about how hot it is here… Well it's just gotten hotter!
And over the coming weeks it's forecast to get hotter still. Every single day will be hot and horrible.
I'm just gonna have to bite the bullet and get air-conditioning. It goes against my principals because it's such an energy waster, but this is just intolerable!!!!!!!!!!!!.
I don't know how I can face another week or weeks of this….
It's worse than a 24+ hour flight in economy next to a 4 year old and a fat lady.
It's worse than a 3 day bus trip across country.
It's worse than getting multiple needles from the doctor.
It's worse than needles in the mouth at the dentist.
It's worse than seasickness.
It's worse than beestings!
It's worse than autotune!
It's even worse than Michael McIntyre.

I've taken… yoga. LOL
I'm actually a dancer and former cheerleader. One of my biggest problems in tai chi is that I have naturally perfect turn out and I can't make my feet stay straight forward. The instructor has taken to kicking my feet into place.
ive always wanted to do taichi, how's that working out for you? taking out the water reference scenario i mean
It's interesting and I wish I was better at it. Like I said before, I'm a ballerina and it's been hard for me to change up things about my stance and the way my feet go that my body has started doing naturally. >>; BUT I do recommend trying it. : ) I'm glad I'm learning it, and it's been good for me for muscle confusion.
What about the black eyed peas? can't be worse than that surely.I want to say no…
But yeah, even worse than them -_-

Anyway, it was weird how the ballet girls would walk with their feet sticking out to the side… like they spent WAaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long doing plies…

I think, especially when you're a child, ballet makes you so aware of everything cosmetic with your body (I remember being 8 and being to told to "suck the gut and tuck the butt" ) that once you get something down, like balancing on your tip toes or getting your turn out right, you force yourself to subconsciously do it because you have so many other things to consciously keep checking.
I've taken… yoga. LOLSounds like the right kind of tai chi instructor then :p. Ha… true story: I took belly dancing classes as a supplement to martial arts training. My friend and I had just gotten into Kung Fu. I had several years of Tae Kwon Do below my belt, but he was a natural, so we'd spar several times a week and I had to start thinking outside the box for ways to keep the upper hand. Dance can give some amazing muscle control and discipline :)

I should probably get today's update ready. The last chapter is only, say, 24 pages ._.
————-
Oh boy. One of my best friends just called while I was finishing that post up. His girlfriend of 3 years just broke up with him last night. Something tells me that this might interfere with today's update schedule. I'd better get my regular pages up quick and worry about putting up an extra "thank you" page at a later time.
Because, I mean, comics are waaaaay more important than best friends, right? Sigh. My bowl of cereal is now soggy ._.
I finally got myself to start on that two hundred panel comic.
So far I've got 78 thumbnails of panels.
Yay.
…I really hope people end up reading the final product…

Going over my friend's again.
Gonna play even more Castle Crashers.

I'm about to make a new thread. I think it'll be fun.
ARGH!
Well, a couple of days I threw my new project script at a friend to see if he has any pointers on the whole thing. And well… crap…
Apparently the characters are a bit flat, the story's somewhat predictable and the whole thing lacks invention to make an "old story seem fresh" (not the exact quote).
So now I'm stuck trying to figure out why it doesn't exactly work (whereas the novel which runs off similar themes, does… which he also read) or whether maybe he's just too sophisticated reader for something that's simply heroic fantasy in alternative history clothing.
One thing that did hit me though and actually made me stop and think was his question "well, what does make the main character interesting?"… and I really didn't know what to answer!
So it looks like a bunch of rewrites is in order, heh.
Now I'm stuck wondering whether should I try to take this apart straight away and do some rewrites, or wait a bit and focus on another project for now.
Or maybe just go ahead and start thumbnailing and changing the story on the fly.
Or maybe take that goddamn novel I wrote 2009 and break it into a series of graphic novels (the writing in there is very visual so it'd work well most of the time) and do that instead (since I don't think I'll get it back from proofreading this year either). I'd still have to draw horses, heh.
Meanwhile I'll try to focus on finishing the short comics.
i have a massive and i mean MASSIVE box of pokemon cards cos my big bro was collecting them before i was born so when he grew up he gave me them.BEFORE YOU WERE BORN?
Gawd, kid, the franchise is only 15 years old! I remember when it came out! Quit making me feel so old, argh D:
