:) 3am, I'd just finished a page (doesn't usually elate me), just about to have a shower and go to bed at, but I checked my e-mail again…
And there it was, they accepted my application. YAY! I ended up getting to bed at around 5, but 3 hour sleep before work is nothing new to me.

the stress of perfectionism. i wish i had it. oh well, i'll continue being content with mediocrity. But that's mediocrity at what i'm doing at the moment. I'll do everything i'll ever want, and wake up one day and realize i'm a jack of all trades and master of none.

So keep adding stuff to your pile, i guarantee most of it will make you better.

So ive been off sick for the past week. Im usually late every day anyway but when I dont come in it causes and enquiry. I cant get a doctors note straight away because it takes about a week and I dont want to request one until I know for definite how long ive been off. My tutor doesnt know a thing about art. All he knows about is sewing machines and textile work. Fair enough its a form of art but he teaches painting. I havent seen the man paint one thing. Nor draw unless its to show an example of how not to do something.

I cant be bothered with this course. Im only doing it because I want to go on to do illustration in university but neither Scotland nor the south of ireland has any Illustration courses. Graphic design would be good where it not constantly debating weither digital illustration counts. I got told that I should be doing typography which I find boring. Who actually enjoys DOING typography. I dont even enjoy looking at it. I also cant quit because its gonna cost me £1365 in repaying grants which have went towards paying into the rent of this stupid house.
Speaking of which were aparently moving back to the old house. This isnt gonna be fun at all. I hate moving just due to the whole having to move crap part. I was just after an operation the last time we moved which cause it to bleed all over my jeans. Didnt look awkward at all…
Fortunatly my mums schizophrenic about wheither or not to sell the old house, put it up for rent or move back into it. I hope either of the first 2 happens before june.
She wants to knock the wall through the 2 bedrooms in the old house so she can make one big room. Thank God by then Ill be moving away with my girlfriend when she goes to uni.
Her parents want her to go to one in northern Ireland just so she can be at home and look after her cousin while her aunt drinks with her mum and neglects the child on Saturdays which I think is completely unfair and ballsing up any chance of her having a good future.

So anyway. I may be able to get free university in the south because Im still technically an irish citizen and university in scotland is aparently only around £1500 a year where as its around £9000 a year in england and northern ireland. Besides the fact that I hate the Welsh. I wouldnt go there because theyre all dyslexic weirdos.

Bah! Stupid future.

Oh great. as if wrist/ankle/knee problems, slightly damaged hearing and light-oversensitive eyes weren't enough of a problem already, I seem to have developed an eye migraine too!

Lawrence Leach, our king programmer and all around nice guy who I met personally and chatted to last year on the Wowio yacht party has worked and worked and worked to restore the site that our commercial host lost.

This had me Sooooooo pissed off last night. I went to bed at 3.30am after our big emergency Skype meeting and responding to posts everywhere and writing updates on our Facebook and LJ pages.

I woke up refreshed, then remembered what happened to DD… and just felt completely flat and depressed again.
Then I let my phone connect to the net, got a massive flood of e-mails and read with relief that Lawrence had managed to get things almost good again.

So it's not soooo bad now.

For the ones who've been on the site for quite a while, DD has this periodic cycles of 'apocalypse' every now and then, the last one way back on 2006 was way worse than this. Even the user accounts were wiped out (pre wowio days)

In any case, DD is a free site for me to use, ill just re upload the lost stuff, No complaints here! :cat:

For the admins/staff who don't get enough love for working their asses off to bring back some of the stuff, you have my thanks and appreciation.

Well said! It's easy to forget that DD is not your full-time job, Oz and Skool, because you give so much. Big thanks for not losing your heads (at least publicly ;) ), responding to all the complaints, worries, etc., and putting in, again, all the extra time.

And, Lawrence, where ever you are THANK YOU. Amazing that without server back-up, so much was restored.

We had three days of the system being down at the library where I work. You'd almost think that it'd be important for a library to be able to catalog items and track whether or not they're checked in and when they're due. Those were some exciting days.

So after redeeming myself from being a thought to be a hater of the duck and its issues, I decided that since I had lost a bunch of images, that I was going to start all over again from scratch.

So I deleted everything! (Except PFA that is-JOIN IT)

But I'll be back with (who'd have guessed it?)

Mine don't either, but I imagine they know about it. The site isn't much else than a forum right now.

To get to your comics to edit them just click "my account" under your avi on the top right hand corner.
It's all fully accessible, just not through the drop down sidebar.

Shit day so far. On top of these idiotic errors on DD, the net on my PCs here at work is running super slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, e-mails aren't downloading from the server at all, clients are being stupider than usual, the art from another client looks like it was done by a 10 year old and I don't know weather they want me to keep it that way or make something GOOD out of it, scanner not working… blah, blah blah. Typical damn Friday. -_-
