My mom talked me into using this shoe leather on my favorite purse because it was getting cracked spots Now the purse is getting these long "wrinkles" in the smooth leather over where i did it. :( I'm so sad…that was a 180$ purse and buying a new one wont be easy. Argh why didn't i think…i'm gonna cry if i wake up and see the whole purse is like that.

-Percy, James, Gordon (he was a little intimidating as I recall), Bill & Ben, Tobey, and grumpy Diesel. can't remember the others.

We watched it through three Mr Conductors: Ringo, George Carlin, and Alec Baldwin
Now that's informative!

OMG I am dead tired today. Sooooo dead.
I'm going to have a long sleep this afternoon before the big Quackcast interview with Lawrence and Zach etc.
At least I have a sooooper long weekend now- Good Friday- then the weekend- then because Sunday is Easter I get Monday off - and then because ANZAC day falls on Monday too I get Tuesday off! Woot!!!
WOOT!!

Thank gods for religious holidays! And commemorations of military sacrifice. Soulsavers! Now I can finally get enough sleep.

Fixing leather is hard.
Your best bet is to peal off the stuff you added. You should be able to do that.
If you want to try again what you have to do is either patch the whole surface of the back so there aren't any seams or lines, or very carefully shave and trim the edges of your patches so that they taper to blades almost, getting rid of lines that way- and bond it under pressure. Don't use thick leather for that sort of thing ever. And what you do use should be shaved as thin as possible- with a razor sharp blade.

-And that's most of what I remember from a bookbinder friend who used to restore valuable old leather bound books.

Wow… Discovery Channel made me think about this a bit… maybe people who collect things might understand it better than me… Collecting something as opposed to aquiring it. So is collecting something the desire to have something just for the pleasure of owning it, and aquisition is the desire to collect something to keep other people from having it? Ugh… Someone's probably gonna call me out on how my mind feels twisted at how I'm thinking of this…

I feel kinda sad about a lot of things. Such as the fact that I'll never fly up in space in my lifetime. The Universe is such a wondrous place, yet most of us have no access to it. Maybe that's a good thing considering our track record at the stewardship of Earth so far…

Well… I guess I'll go out to eat for a bit. This mostly salad/salmon diet can get to me sometimes and I can lose my sanity trying to keep this the same diet day after day. I'm also of the mind that anyone who keeps to their extreme diets for so long has to be at least a little bit insane (like the vegans who refuse to take in vitamin B-12 because it's an "animal" vitamin, then they wonder why they're going blind later on)…

Did they say anything about the recent passing of Elizabeth Sladden? (Sarah Jane from the Pertwee/Baker years?)

heh… should've posted this yesterday. Saw it on the Wii news channel yesterday. I never got to watch Doctor Who back in the day. My mother thought it would be a very bad influence on me.

The DOCTOR WHO EXPEREINCE (3 tickets from just 55 GBP)

Did they say anything about the recent passing of Elizabeth Sladden? (Sarah Jane from the Pertwee/Baker years?)

I had a crush on her back in the day. So cute, almost in an manga/anime way. She didn't need a skimpy leather outfit.

Also found out that Pete Postlethwaite passed back in January. (Hakeswell from Sharpe and dozens of other great appearances)

— (wildebeasts and railroads)
I discovered Thomas and Friends when I saw the first episode of Shining Time Station because I liked Didi Conn and Ringo Starr. Being a modeler I also thought the model work was nice. Did you know that the running gear of Bulldozer was from a Tamiya R/C Tiger tank model?

:( I only just heard about that, I didn't even know she was sick :'( Poor Lady, she was so awesome as Sarah Jane.

Then both of you should spell Starr correctly. ; )

Star,Starr either way it makes his name look like the one of a porn actor…

Anywhos, the first day of summer is today (at least here) and the weather is fabulous. Good 8°C(40°F ish), cloudy with chance of either rain or sun… at least it isn't snowing like usually…

Ringo was usually considered the "earthy" Beatle. . .

today they're predicting a 25-dgree change in temperature from midday to end of day. I'd like a few days in a row of Spring. the roller coaster weather takes too much energy

I'm not ready for winter to be over yet. Summer where I live is one of the most miserable affairs; the 110 (F) degree weather would be easier to bear if the humidity index didn't top out at around %70. It's awful unless you're at the beach or out on the bayou (but then the bayou has misquitos).

Does anyone else here fear spiders? There was a large one on the ceiling. I went to go get a tissue to kill it and when I came back I couldn't find it anymore. Instant paranoia.

Nope. Spiders are great :)Unles they're crawling up your nose or something…

—————–
Sarah Jane was the best Doctor Who assistant ever. I think she was with both Pertwee and Tom Baker wasn't she? The two best Doctors. Of course then comes Leela and Romana (but which Romana? I prefer the first one).
—————-

OK, I've had some sleep now, I feel a little better.
I got a samsung Galaxy Tab today, my second Android device and fist mini-tablet thing. They were going ultra cheap at my local phone shop before all the new fancy models come in.
It's not bad, but not as smooth and slick as my HTC Desire Android phone. I'll have to install a custom ROM I think to see if I can make it nicer and smoother than it is with the standard Samsung one it has now.

No, they had her outfit and stuff like all the other people, but nothing was actually mentioned. At least everyone wasn't moping around. It's sort of a set thing, you go through here and do this, then this happens, that sort of thing. No spare time for mentionings.

I believe there was a show on last night called farewell Liz.

Ohh my god…
Leave a vacuum in your room and sleep in the spare room for a few years. it'll be sucked up eventually.
You have my greatest sympathy.

I have a history test tomorrow, but since it's in preparation for our exam my teacher decided not to tell us what it's on.
So I just have to study 60 pages of text for tomorrow, no big deal. -_-

It ended up being on the Ruhr Crisis. Easy peasy! : D

Now I'm prepared for the Easter Bunny Hunt. I've got a shotgun, a couple of grenades, and a flame rifle that I swiped off some woman's unattended mech. I'll make sure I end that bunny's reign of terror. Fooling those poor children into thinking those "chocolate eggs" he's been laying are edible… that's just low!

*loads the shotgun and goes off hunting*

I have several half finished drawings hanging around my bedroom. They're all piled up on my desk waiting for me to do something with them. I should REALLY do something with them, but currently I'm too lazy and the drawings are too insanely huge for me to bother.

drawing a life sized snow leopard on A2 paper seemed like a good idea at the time… But now that its half done…

I suddenly remember how much I hate drawing giant things.

I know what you mean! I feel like my art teacher always wants me to go BIGGER with my pieces, but working on a smaller scale is so much easier and more comfortable.
But I do it anyways because I understand where he's coming from. Stupid smart art teacher.

And sorry for the scary fish man!

It was terrifying walking home from work tonight…I swear everyone's been drunk since like 6:30 this evening - and everyone who isn't already is rushing off to the LC.

Edit: That Feedback tab isn't going to be a permanent fixture, is it? Opera is throwing a fit - it's making DD almost unusable for me right now.

it's lovley, and it's a snow leopard so it's basicily finished now! There's limited room to work on or store big art…

It will be but in a nicer form that fits in better. BUT what you should do is report all the probs you're having with it (using the feedback feature) so they can fix it. ;)

Another Doctor Who alum passing was Nicholas Courtney in February at age 81. The Brigadier!

Lifesize animal renderings is a typical art school punishment, ahem assignment. Wheever I've gone to Philadelphia there's always some poor art students drawing animals in the museum. I have to bite my tongue to fight the urge to critique as I go by. Have to repress the teacher instinct.

I almost got picked up by a young French lady when sketching in the National Gallery in London while waiting for the wife to finish her tour. My wife has to read everything and she doesn't scan read so I usually end up stopping, waiting and often sketching.

It's a Pertwee/Baker era apocalypse! Disaster O_O
I liked Nicholas Courtney in all the radio plays he did. Those people are dying young.

SO Cute! What's his name?

@OnlyFoolsAndVikings: That's Beautiful!!

@Hippie Van: I like fish man even more than the last time he made an appearance. you know, he IS begging for his own comic.

Himself and the boy headed south yesterday to visit relatives while I took the day off to negotiate some "chores" that have to get done. It's Wonderful. I feel FREE - time to meself.
*please o please I hope I don't waste it cleaning the house like I usually do*
