Yes, the decade I turned away from a very fulfilling and successful hobby full of mature and reponsible adults and entered into a world that was full of adolescent posers, wanna bes and pseudo intellectuals who are so much smarter than the remainder of us poor, dirty, ignorant cretins.

Come to think of it, I felt the same way in 1999 too. lol!

Wow. DD started all the way back in 1910. I can't believe it's still going into 2010! 100 years of DD, YAY! :)

In 1999 I was a successful high-flying businesswoman and part time lingerie model. Now I'm a multibillionare space entrepreneur and shipping magnate, as well as 3 times Mr Universe.
I've come a very long way ^____^

Wearing silver plastic trousers all the time is a little tiring though =_=

Reading this thread I just realized that I've been avoiding the radio for nearly a decade. It got to a point where my choices were either a slew of R&B/Rap/Hiphop, or 90's music. I've never liked Hip-hop, and I had enough Grunge the first time around. So I ended up listening to soundtracks, videogame music, and foreign music exclusively.

Has radio changed yet? Do we finally have more choices than Hip-hop and Pearl Jam? I'm almost afraid to turn the radio on.

Talk radio is overtaking music formats. But the fastest growing music format in the USA is… Country-Western! So give up on hip-hop and Pearl Jam and say hello to Taylor Swift.

And this, friends, is why I will continue shunning the radio. As a life-long southerner, I've been so very sick of country-western for so many years I don't even remember when it started. And around these parts, it's either that, classic rock (the kind that crosses into southern rock), or the top forty stuff that's usually fulla R&B/Rap/Hiphop…

Wow…I'm just realizing that dispite the fact that I'm a musician, I actually don't really like music all that much these days.

Best thing about the '00s, imo, was that Godzilla television show based off the Hollywood movie.

That show was teh best. :D

The decade just gone to me has been significant in that in this decade, CGI really came into its own.

We started with animation that could barely capture 'fur effects' and ended with the fully blown realism of AVatar.
