But yeah, just came back from the showing. Actually wasn't all that sad. It was more of a reunion I guess.
And uh, I still had to do my monologue thing. I wasn't nervous, I just kinda made stuff up. I made people laugh though. And apparently this really hot girl was laughing a lot, and my friend think she likes me. So I'm like "8D"
Speaking of police brutality and cop killing, I just saw a story in the paper about how a gang member in the area maced a cop with a can of spray paint. The cop wasn't even trying to arrest him for anything, just wanted to know what the guy was doing.
I've been listening to excessive amounts of hip hop lately and I don't know why. It's not the gangsta rap kind of stuff, but a more positive and lyrical kind like Jedi Mind Tricks and whatnot. Normally I'd never listen to the stuff, but it seems like the farther I get from a major city the more I start getting into urban stuff as some sort of defense mechanism.
Stupid Zuda, you have so many comics that look awesome and yet you ruin it all with that buggy slow loading viewer! Blagh. Full screen is tolerable (i guesss)
Also i've noticed the better the art, the worse the writing/dialogue over there. Laura's bazaar case in point-seriously what is going on? I hate randomness comics.
Also does anyone know the artist who did an issue of Gotham central with initials of G.S?
Sometimes I think I wanna be a lawyer.
I got an IQ of over 130. And I'd love to help people fight the corrupt police system that is all about handing out tickets so they can meet their quota, as well as being legalized bullies and thugs.
Going to work early, working 6 days a week, and working overtime will not be a problem for me.
I'm not a greedy person either. I'm not gonna charge high fees. And depending on a case to case basis, I might represent you for free.
But on the other hand, I dunno if I can maintain a professional emotionless demeanor in a courtroom setting.
As a lawyer, you have to be really "by the book". No emotions. Just stick to what the law dictates.
When I did jury duty it was a real eye-opener. For one thing I LOVED the traditional 18thC gowns and wigs the barristers and judge wore, those were cool. I'd want to be a lawyer here just so I could get to dress up in the court room. ^_^
The defence barrister was a tall, thin, bony, raven of a man in his 50s with granny spectacles. He'd look down his nose through them at the jury theatrically. And the prosecuting barrister was a heavy set short young woman in her late 20s or early 30s, with streaky died hair under her powdered wig and rings in her nose and ears. You'd naturally expect their roles to be reversed… But no, she was the prosecutor and he was the defence.
The judge was a fellow in his 60s, he was scrupulously fair, kindly, intelligent, and very patient. All had a sense of humour and all were well aware of the many intricacies and ins and outs of the law. It was nothing like the American Law and Order, more like Rumpole of the Baily- no theatrics or drama or "OBJECTION" like in U.S. court shows… don't get me wrong, I LOVE Law and Order, but I wouldn't ever want to have a case in a court like that as a defendent or jury member or whatever..
I'd already thought Judge Judy was a a bit weird, but after seeing this fair minded fellow in action I can't look at her as anything but an entertainment figure without even the pretence of legitimacy.
Also does anyone know the artist who did an issue of Gotham central with initials of G.S?Greg Scott perhaps? He did three issues of that. Unless it's Stefano Gaudiano who drew quite a lot of the issues, but then I'd be S.G. I guess?
