Like this old lady who talked to me while I was keeping an eye on one of the local supermarkets. She was lamenting about how she couldn't have anymore children!!! I would understand if she couldn't sleep with men anymore, but I've never heard of anyone addicted to giving birth… O_O
Then again, my job is interesting because I meet all sorts of people, crazy or otherwise.

The 2009 Rant, Vent, and Share thread
I just got written up at work for taking a 20 minute lunch with my 15 minute break right after it instead of a 45 minute lunch. I've been doing it that way since I first started the job last summer. I know they were a bit upset that I said I didn't remember clocking in after 20 minutes, but I honestly don't remember. It's a habit. Nobody has ever complained before, though I understand if they want me to take the full lunch for monetary reasons, but it kind of pisses me off that they went straight to threatening to fire me. I would have been perfectly ok with them just telling me I need to take the full lunch.
On top of that, they decided to charge me $15 for $2 worth of gas and welding wire I used on a personal project I was working on while off the clock, along with $35 for steel which was way more than I had used and what I used was paid for anyway.
I always seem to have a really shitty week every year around the time of my birthday. :/
was there recently a regime change in the higher ups?
i remember we've had that in our immediate overlords recently….and nobody likes it. the current leaders came in from a completely different place, and didn't like how things were ran.
we had a chief (highest ranking enlisted) in charge of us, and he allowed us to go directly to him if we had a problem…and then shit got done, cause people not under him, still respected/feared him.
the new guys, don't like such a blatant disrespect for the chain of command. and you actually have to run it up your command…such as immediate supervisor, who takes it to his supervisor, who takes it to the office supervisor, who takes it to the leaders….by the time this system works out, the problems already solved, you've been anally fucked because of said problem, or it's been a month…
So. Tried to go to bed at like, 10 PM last night.
Real time I went to bed? 2:30 AM.
I seriously laid there for about 3 hours, until I decided to get up for a little while. I was starving because I hadn't really eaten anything yesterday, because of the "cutting diet" thing. So I grabbed a block of colby cheese, and proceeded to eat a little less than half, whilst browsing the interwebs.
I actually got up at 7 AM this morning. I'm proud of myself. That's like, the perfect time to get up.
I'm just hopin I can get more scripting done today, and this illustration that I've been working on for the past 2 days D:<
Also, my dog is awesome.
Edit: Finally finished picture after like…3 1/2 more hours of work.

Oh my god i picked up Chew today, it's brilliant writing i thought it was going to be some shitty JTHM rip-off but it was just awesome all around.
I dislike the art though, i think it'll grow on me but it's kinda like he jumped into style without really getting the basics in proportions.
I've watched 3 "once-upon-a-time-in-china" movies.
Very awesome kung fu fights. Well-written story. Truly classic kung fu films. Could also be good for anime.
However, I picked up this subliminal message (my brain doesn't completely shut off and become totally open to covert hypnosis when watching a movie. I retain my critical thinking capacity.) from the films that say that you should put your trust in ONE MAN.
I wonder why we have Wong Fei Hung (Jet Li's character) being almost like a god in the movie or something. He can defeat an army of badguys all by himself while his students can't seem to get anything done without him.
Well I guess that's what the government of China wants.
You to be a subservient slave who thinks you can't do anything if you're not special. And leave it all to some strongman and everything will be fine.
Its no longer a surprise why commie filth continue to run China to this day.

Yeah, it is good to have support. But she does stuff like giving away what's going to happen or pretending not to know what will happen when she obviously does…she sees all the strips before they go up.
She also sent it to my elderly aunt in London who I'll be staying with in August. I can't help but think it would have been a better idea to send it after I got back. Fortunately my aunt is pretty hip.
Edit: Also, I stopped doing my last comic because my mom found out about it and started reading it. And forwarded it to all her work friends. And I was planning on a few racy jokes…so that was the end of that.

Steer clear of Budweiser - it nearly killed me. Well the train nearly did anyway, but I wouldn't've been there if it wasn't for Budweiser.
well… we have about 2 major breweries and like 5 smaller ones, but most of the Vodka, wines and the strong stuff is actually imported.
The only american beer I've had is Miller, didn't like it though, too little taste but you don't really notice that when it's beer number 7-8 actually ;)

Horseback riding didn't work out today, maybe tomorrow *shrug* it's really awkward around my cousin now, i wish she'd stop getting invited… It kinda sucks since she's nice otherwise, but i just don't want to deal with her unpredictable outing ruining moods.
I've been making these weird one-page comics in my sketchbook, some are kinda cute maybe i'll ink and color some.
Wow… a lawyer was calling me about a guy I helped get arrested a while ago in 2006. This 22 year old (his age now) robbed a store next to a gameroom I was watching at the time. He was armed with a colt pistol when he did it and had a couple of friends.
As for that call, it was about his sentencing. He's been in prison since 2006 and just finished his day in court. I was just asked what his sentencing would be. After inquiring about his criminal history I said one thing… "throw the book at him". The man was violent and probably still is. I don't want a guy like him to be released too soon as he'll just do it again. Then again it may just make him into an even worse criminal. It was a very hard decision to make and I don't like a person having his life taken by anything. Still, the good of the public outweighs the freedom of a potentially violent criminal so I have to stand by my decision. So if the judge decides to take my opinion with any seriousness, he'll spend an extra 2 years in prison.
Germans and Irish are the best at mass-market beers.
Decent bottled lagers seem to come from all over the place. I was drinking Brahma from Brazil last night and there's a bottle of Peroni waiting for me later. Cobra tastes good too and that's Indian! It must be hard to mess up that lager formula.
British beer doesn't travel at all. Even the gorgeous beer of my birthplace tastes like crap down here in the Smoke - that's only 100 miles or so. When it's right though, there's nothing to beat a warm, flat pint of bitter.%)
