I vacuumed and cleaned the floors, did laundry and made a frittata and ate some of it. In that order.

Now I have 30 minutes til bed and I'm poking around for something interesting to do.

So far I've spent my Thursday evening cursing out my DSL modem that won't give me a steady enough wireless signal to connect to the internet so I can write my final paper for my online class. I was going to be writing the paper so I could do some fun stuff tonight, but I think instead I'll be cooking a nice tenderloin steak on the grill and having a nice dinner to go with my paper.

I've actually found that I eat better, the house is cleaner and I feel much more relaxed when the family is gone. I wonder what that says about me?

I've been up since 5 AM, and was at the hospital from 6 AM to about 3 PM. My dad had gotten bypass surgery. It was successful, they removed all 5 blockages. Now it's up to him to recover apparently. Because he has this machine hooked up to him that's breathing for him, so now he just has to have willpower. I know he can do it.

And I found a few good bands to listen to.

that you would be great as a hermit, only to one day, befriend a young child that has willpower and determination, and then you teach him the almost all the secrets of life, and utter your last secret with your dying breathe. but then he doesnt understand it, and the scours the earth looking for his last instructions meaning?

thursday nights:

go to TKD, followed by kickboxing, followed by krav maga. home. shower. cuddle time with the wife, and bed. never really been one for adventure on a thursday night. don't know how it works in england, but our magical nights are normally friday/saturday.

Wow… been doing nothing all day but drawing and listening to Vocaloid music. Heck, I forgot to eat again. x_X

I guess after I make lunch I'm going outside to swing my machete at some gra… er… get some good excercise in the nice hot 90+ degree hot sun overhead. :)

Thursday nights USED to be Chinese night… til they cancelled the class. That reminds me, I should go in and fuss about getting my partial refund when the centre opens again… it's only about Â£20 but still.

I was able to take yesterday off but I'm gonna have to work today. :/ My heart really isn't in it. There's been way too much of 'stuff I've been signed up to do but don't like oh also there's a short deadline' this year.

Aargh, 2009 sucks so far…

Not only is it the 20th and 10th anniversary of my parent's death, but everything seems to go wrong. I'm flat broke, my creativity is constantly interrupted by stupid things happening, due to the economy worsening all the people who migrated to get a job are now back so you can't find one anymore, I need to find about 500$ to pay off late flat bills, my 480 page project is getting delayed because I need to do other stuff… the weather does extreme jumps between depressingly clouded and rainy to meltingly hot, neither of which is good for doing anything. I ran out of hd space so I can't edit pages of din krakatau for the b&w edition until I make some backups which I can't make cause the dvd burner is messed up, and I can't even do anyhting about getting the color edition printed cause 1) I'm still broke and that means no money in my paypal and 2) ka-blam and indyplanet seem down at the moment and it wouldn't surprise me they went to san diego or something so it probably won't get fixed anytime soon.

Urgh…

Same here: I was just thinking back to college days, when it didn't matter if you couldn't get up in the a.m., long as you were ready for friday night.:sleepy:

Glad to see I'm not the only one having dental issues this week. My teeth never bother me despite the dentist telling me I need fillings. Then after I go to get things supposedly fixed, my teeth start hurting. Argh!

In other news, getting this weeks strip done early because I'm traveling this weekend for a family reunion. The really awful part is that the weather is supposed to be lousy all weekend.

I've had one good week of summer (weatherwise that is) and I had to travel to Florida to get it. Oh well.

Problems continue:

So I got around to working some on b&w pages for Din Krakatau. Here's the problem… when I drew and scanned the art, I did it with color in mind. Since I was going to go with a rather "messy" colors, I didn't pay that much attention to the clarity of lineart leaving lots of faint pencil lines, grey smudges etc. In b&w it all pops up. So now I'd have to clean it up… I could just go with threshold, sure, but that would need a higher resolution to apply it…

so not only am I going to be redrawing a stack of pages (or panels), now I also have to rescan everything else too!!!

Moments like that I wish I had a cintiq :P

remember when itold you that the government overpaid me? well, they decided to take it back. but there wasnt enough money in my check, for them to take back everything, so they gave me enough money to cover it. but then i still owe them, what they gave me. (double my paycheck) so that means they're going to keep doing this, until they're paid back, which will be in 3 months by my calculations.

it would have been nice if they just accepted the check in the first place. luckily i still have that money, and i can slowly give it to myself as if it were my paycheck….

Bakuman is starting to get really annoying sigh, it's just the author writes romance scenes so effing horribly i just want to stab a tablet pen into my butthole to distract from the braincell damage of trying to comprehend it :gem: They act like 11 year olds and make no goddamn sense(even for animu) it's worse than most gary stu author insert webcomics :gem:

Kinda makes me want to make a comic, about making comics. (which is like making a game, about making a game)

i just watched Watchmen. again. sheeze, even so many months later it makes me feel unoriginal. i mean, before i even saw it, (never read it) i created a character like ozzy mandius. he had the same goals, and the comic was to end a similar way. only without taking that specific story line….i trashed it when i saw the movie…but. you know…i dont….
