I had a weird dream this morning. I won't go into it but it involved a Batman bad guy (I think Scarecrow, but can't remember exactly) lurking around in a factory basement, and me and a security guard and a janitor trying to catch him.
Going to be a busy and productive day today! Because I will it to be so!

Yesterday's achievment: I made a MEGAHOTDOG!
What's a megahotdog? Take a baguette (the superlong French bun thing) and fill it with a row of sausages and add ketchup (and whatever else you like to add, I prefer mine "minimalistic"). Spend half an hour eating it.
Resulting megahotdog was roughly as long as my arm, and so with one meal I have probably killed the last three days of my "diet" (but hey, once a year or something like that it is worth it).
Now if only I had better ketchup to go with it and not this watery crap.

I was hearing weird noises coming from outside the window all evening. Finally when I looked out through the window, I saw there's a pigeon sleeping there and just making noise with its claws whenever shifting position, haha.

I work in Asbury Park NJ in a senior apartment tower right across the street from a crack house. I was doing my rounds and came out the lower level garage door. A long woman with a low cut top was walking by. We glanced at each other for a second. I never felt such emotional pain in my life. She is a 30ish drug addicted hooker. A few weks later, this past weekend She came to the back door and One resident (a client) came rushing to the back door in his stocking feet to let her in. Guess he was in a hurry before his viagra wore off.
It was such a ridiculous image that I had to write it up in my report. It also was a pattern as it was around 5AM and happened both Saturday and Sunday. I mentioned it to someone they gave me the usual anti-prostitution righteous anger and I just replied "A girl's got to make a living."
It is the oldest profession (though the military historian John Keegan says it is the second oldest after soldiering) It should be legal and regulated. That has been proven time and again the best way to deal with it. After all the term "hooker" comes from one General who dealt with it in that manner in the American Civil War.
That crack house is one where my recovering crack head brother-in-law used to get his fixes. My three brothers-in-law make quite a group. One is a crumudgeony railroad engineer, one is a recovering crack head and the third is a promiscuous twit and sex offender.

I can't remember it's history but it stemmed from an off-hand sort of quote at one stage and just gained ground, like "men think about sex even 8 seconds" or however that myth goes. People think it sounds right so they accept it as true and not just something made up. :)
I agree with the legalising prostitution argument- people are people, no matter how they choose to earn their living, as long as they don't live of of the suffering of others. Which doesn't say a lot for that crack den. -_-
Oz, profession as something that someone is paid to do and that's all they do as a job. Soldiers and prostitutes probably predate farming. A hunter and farmer work to feed themselves. Soldiers and prostitutes are full time employees outside of that who are fed by the others in pay for a specific service. Even artisans (blacksmiths etc) were not full time but prostitutes and soldiers were. That's what the term refers to.
It's so easy to dismiss a documented sequence of events as some flimy intellectual construct that really doesn't exist. Like a meme. ;) The ridiculous concept of a meme cannot be proven empircally. It's fallen out of favor recently as something that means nothing outside of its own ephemeral philosophical construct. lol!
So, now I'm apparently working on about 4 comics right now.
Technically 3, since the 4th one hasn't really started. But it's in the works. And I probably won't start it for a little while, because I want to get further with Ryu's Krew first, and get the short comic done.
I tried doing an experimental sort of thing with the short comic. I colored it with Crayola colored pencils >.>. Mostly because I don't have the money for Prismas, and I already had the colored pencils. It honestly doesn't look THAT bad, but it's definitely not professional. But that's not really what I was going for. Just a little cartoony somethin I threw together.
I inked it with a bic pen too. Hahaha. It's cool. Can't wait to get it done, and put it on here.
I was trying to see clubs at my college, but my school website is so horridly slow i just want to strap down the person that made into a genital torture chair and set them up to a 1kb per sec connection.

So i've watched all of Saki out so far, fucking awesome i actually learned how to play mahjong on the side to get it more. Minami-ke is really funny and haruhi is pretty cool. I don't get why it's so disturbingly popular yet though.
I really regret starting up that comic now.
Please don't watch the second and third seasons of Minami-ke. It will make you physically sick.

It's been so long since I've done any drawing with traditional pencil and paper, and by Thor's hammer, I am rusty. I'm going have to do more sketching and stuff if I don't want to lose my touch.

Soldering too isn't that old, relatively speaking, since fighting bands were completely informal long into the civilised tribal structures. People paid in goods and barter for items long before any of those sorts of services became formalised. There's no documentation man, just speculation and wishful thinking -_-
I won't debate anymore on it. They're certainly older professions than Graphic design anyway. :P
Watching 8th ms team again just got me pissed at what's happening to the gundam franchise right now. I mean it was going down the shitter with turn A gundam(ugh) and though i watched and enjoyed G-gundam i don't think it was really the direction the series could take. But destiny and 00 are glorified faggot fests. 00's character designs were by a popular yaoi artist for gods sakes, and destiny had these sparkly~uguu~ eyes and was more focused on ryvius/toradora style teen drama i could watch in any other anime.
Another thing is the 'all powerful' mech thing, "hey this is less a battle of wit and determination but more magical sailor scout power beam activated by thinking about my male friend" when mobile suit through even wing had to have some skill. And finally

This is the second night running I've been sat here minding my own business only to have a huge furry arachnid run up my leg.I've had a lot of spiders in my house the last month or so. I'm guessing it's because the weather's been nice enough to leave the back door open. I don't mind the corner spiders that sit in their webs up on the ceiling, but the running around kind will invariably get caught in a glass and flushed down the toilet. I also religiously check under the seat when I pee just in case one crawls back up (none ever have).
I was vacuuming today and saw a slug trail on the floor. I followed it around but couldn't see where it went as it seemed the beginning and end of the trail were missing. First of all I have no idea how a slug got into the front room (doors aren't open when slugs are out), second I want to know what happened to it so I don't come across a shriveled slug the dog thinks is a tasty treat. >:[
The dog LOVES to catch and eat flies so I don't have a problem with those. :]
i dont mess with spiders because years ago, i read a book that is similar to goosebumps, but with more mini stories in it. anyways, the story was about kids who were going around killing spiders. then in the middle of one night, giant anthropomorphic spiders took them from their homes, and deep into tunnels, and held them on trial for murder. i think they were gonna eat them or something, but something caught on fire and the kids got away.
i still think about being caught by them tho.

same reaction. my friend was watching 00 one day so I was looking over, and then he started talking. "what, he's suppose to be a girl!"
and then the season with everybody dying, and then apparently everybody is still alive in the 2nd season with some dude's younger brother, who looks exactly the same.
i only kept track of gundam up to the f-91 movie.

So I've been having a back and forth argument with a syndicated cartoonist on another cartoonist forum.With who? 'Bout what? C'mon, man. Give us dirt!
And now I have a headache from banging my head against the wall.
The guy that does Non Sequitir his name is Wiley Miller. I was on a cartooning forum and this guy was just asking a few basic questions and I thought he responded kind of harsh so I called him out on it.
He said he wasn't being negative but just giving him the cold realities of the business.
I dunno, I just hate how some professionals act like being a cartoonist is some sacred thing that only a few chosen ones have the power and dedication to truly succeed at.
I'm well aware of how difficult it is to make money in this business, but it's like if the kid really is only in it to make money, he eventually quit. I don't think it's necessary to do a 1000 cartoons (as he said) and then proceed with your cartooning career.
Whatever, I'm over it.
