Still seems rather high…? I notice on Paypal's site it says charges are lower if you transfer from bank accounts rather than credit cards.
That's because "echecks" take 10 business days to clear and debit card transfers are instant. I'm not waiting 10 days to get my own money back. I want to have it out of one bank and into another in 5 minutes.
I am totally going to be industrious today and get all my normal weekend stuff done before lunch (probably a late lunch)! That way I can spend the rest of the 3-day weekend doing comics. :3
I'm starting to get sore from the bike crash, too. I hope I don't have to go to work covered in bruises! lol!
Smexy.

Oh no. I get instant transfers. :) The thing is you set up a direct billing from you bank account and use the credit card as an intermediary.- It means that the transfer is instant and there's no charges. Works a treat and it's not complicated to set up …
That said, all I've ever done is transferred money FROM my account into paypal to pay for stuff. Never bothered to get money out and into my bank account…. SO who knows? Maybe it doesn't work the other way around? :/
The recipient (or seller) has to pay Paypal's fee, not the sender (buyer). So although it doesn't cost me anything to send my money out, it costs me to receive it back. :] As long as it works out less to what I was paying before I'm happy.
Got most of my weekend chores done and it's only early saturday afternoon! Time for comics…!?!?! And watching The Dish?!?!?!
It's good until. . . er. . . ah, you'll see for yourselves if you care that much. It's a shame really, it was really, really fucking absolutely tense and brilliant and wow, and then this one bit comes along and single handedly ruins the entire thing. I'm not sure I'll even bother finishing it now.
And I have the heartburn. Curse that delicious pastry and bizarre family traits.

Ah-ha! I did a quick Google on the question and it seems that the trick is to have the second account set as a "personal" account. That way you avoid the fees. You can't accept payments from credit cards or something with that account then though… I dunno, this blog explains it: http://www.marlobydesign.com/blog/?p=16
It seems to be a common dodge by people to avoid fees: Premium account for buying and sending money, Personal account for accepting it and transferring it to you bank. Ha! I just checked. My account is set to "Personal", no wonder I've never had any fees when people have paid me :)
I never knew the reason. So there you go Skool, we were both right, but you can still do it for cheaper if you change the settings on your other account ;)
I found out, that I actually really like Hip-Hop, but not Rap.
Like, I like the Beastie Boys (I know) But I don't like 50 Cent, or Eminem.
My taste in music is awkward.
I also found out I do enjoy myself some DJ Shadow, and DJ Krush. Both of which, I am pretty sure, are Trip-Hop. DJ Krush may be hip-hop though. Not sure yet.
I'm loving Hulu. I resisted for a long time, but I reckon I missed TV more than I thought I did. But dude. C'mon. "Alfred Hitchcock Presents"! PBS documentaries! Stupid 80's cartoons! If they had "The Twighlight Zone" I'd be in TV heaven.
(I don't know if anyone has mentioned this or not,but I thought it was interesting)
I recently saw a commercial for Nutella, which I thought was strange, especially since I live in the US. Has anyone else seen it? Is it new? It sure looks good though, makes me want to go out a buy a jar to try it. XD

Well, I live in Canada and it's not new over here. Nutella is the best, though. I like to have it with pretzels. :) Also, it bugs me when people pronounce it like Noo-tella. That's just not right.
Ugh… black flies. Lots of them. My supervisor called then gnats, but they're just annoying. Now my reports are all covered in their yellow blood because they have the tendency to land right in front of my pen while I'm writing. I also found out how they tasted… the HARD way…
Right now they're more like the mayflies I've heard so much about. Luckily they're not like the black flies from Canada that I've heard of as well… I was told they will swarm on a person and bite off bits of their flesh until there's nothing but bones left; they'll even eat the bone marrow and yet their hunger for human flesh will never be sated…
My dad told me I could have gotten at least $1000 and a new bike from that lady's insurance had I filed a police report. Probably more if I got a lawyer. I'm a f**king idiot.
I finally finished the script for the new animation. Nine pages my not seem like a lot, but this isn't for a 30 minute cartoon or a play. This is supposed to be for a, at maximum, 10MB Flash file. I may end up having to request a larger upload limit. Between music and fully voiced character dialogue, this could end up being a monster…well, for Flash files anyway.
I'm only waiting on confirmation for one character now, which rocks. The voice actress Kira Buckland (AKA Rina-Chan over at Newgrounds.com) took the part of the last female, which is excellent, seeing as she's a professional VA. I've decided to voice the protagonist since I won't be doing any real talking this time around. I've done VA in the past and it's fun, but I want to concentrate on doing the actual animation.
I keep reading over the script to make sure that it flows correctly and nothing comes across corny. It needs to have a serious overtone with a bit of darkness with lighter parts here and there.
Writing is something I just enjoy. This script has taken me about a week to get to the point where it is now.
Not finished with that, obviously. It's so hard for me to actually draw…and it took me a long time to get just that.
——— Oh, and if the government can't run a business successfully where they are selling whiskey and women (it owned the Mustang Ranch in Nevada for a while before it went bankrupt), they can't possibly run health care correctly.
Best of luck with that Croi. I've dabbled in a bit of VA and animation before I personally find it a bitch since everything goes wrong for me all the time. But since you've potentially got a professional VA (I think I've heard of Rina-Chan) and it's obvious you're putting in a lot of effort, you can colour me impressed already.
Yep. That's exactly what I was looking at. I'll send you a PQ if I think of any questions. I pretty much have no clue about anything of how the military works.
I'd have to seriously learn how to shut my mouth though. I have way too sharp a tongue for my own good.
Two nights ago my cat started sleeping in my room. He woke me up a few times by attacking my feet through the sheet. I learned through trial and error that night, that if I took the sheet entirely off of me, he would only attack the sheet. Only, he kept trying to look and reach under it. I finally got to sleep through the rest of the night.
Well, last night, he started up again. I took the sheet off, except this time, he learned that my feet weren't under it anymore. He attacked my bare feet several times throughout the night/early morning.
I laughed a lot, because even claws digging into my feet are ticklish. I still find the whole thing hilarious, though. I'm even thinking of holding a contest; something along the lines of "Guess how many scratches/marks are on my feet."
Seriously. And the winner would get an actual hold-it-in-your-hands prize. Because I feel like it.

i get in trouble for that at least once a week. like just this week, i was asking if there could be exception to policy, for those of us who are a bit more in shape than others, when the commander released his new PT ideas. (which is basically going to eff my entire work out in the a) but the way i worded it to the sergeant wasn't polite enough. and then i was told just as politely that there would be no exceptions.
and other services are more strict on that. in any other service, i would have gone to my supervisor first, and my supervisor would have to bring it up to who i did. then he would take it to his, and him to his, then that guy would bring it up as a side note when talking with the commander.
the air force works a tad bit differently ——————–
sigh.
i don't know what i want to be when i grow up. i know i want to stay military. but the problem is, when i was younger, i was told i could be anything i wanted. and the worst part is– it's too fucking true.
i have never failed anything i've attempted. i have never been the best at anything, but i have never failed. most people are born with a gift. and it's obvious. and that makes their decisions on what they want to do easier.
but what about those of us, who have average artistic skills, average music skills, average athletic skills. get lost in the millions of average joes in every area.
RAAAAARRRRRRRRRR….thinking about this makes me upset.
Just finished watching the old Star Trek episode "Doomsday Machine", and I say it's still one of the best episodes of the show I've ever watched (the others being The Immunity Syndrome and Balance of Terror). *sigh* I miss the old days watching the show as a child…
Finally recovered from throwing up. I probably shouldn't attempt to experiment with Ramen noodles for a while. Throwing up is never a pleasant experience…
Well, when you're single and living alone cooked food isn't going to come to you. And when money is tight you can't just go out and eat at a restaraunt every night. And you can't rely on the neighbors to cook for you either. Cooking is one of those skills that singles who live alone have to learn. And you can't be a one trick pony at it either or else the food just gets boring if you're eating the same thing every night because it's all you know how to cook.
On another note, I notice most singles around me tend to fry their food (Spam, eggs, etc…). Pretty unhealthy in my opinion, especially if you're doing it EVERY NIGHT. That's why I always experiment when I can. I'm not an aspiring chef (I doubt I can handle the pressure cooker environment of a restaurant), but I have to do what I can to keep life from being too boring, y'know?
So i was playing katawa shoujo today and got the Rin end even though i hate her, then i find out it's apparently super hard to get her end out of all the others. Great.
I can't believe this was made by regular 4channers though, the writing for the main characters condition is so realistic it caught off guard. (i was expecting tons of memes and retard jokes, but it's actually pretty tame with a few gems here and there).
Kinda makes me want to design a dating sim game now, too bad you've actually gotta code for those things zzzzzZZZZZZZZZ
Also i was all worried about my bio quiz due sunday so i studied for an hour….and it was freaking 5 easy questions =_= Argh….
Okay. I'm challenging myself to quit drinking for a week.
No, seriously. :nervous:
Also I had a dream that ozoneocean and skoolmunkee were my roommates, and our apartment was DD headquarters. Also I played pool with a nazi in a bowling alley somewhere in there.
