also, i dropped the bomb that killed sadam.

Those roaches swimming in the toilet bowl can be annoying. Easier to shoot them than to bomb them…

*sorry… couldn't resist… hehehe*

Speaking of horrible jokes, my niece is mad at me now. I recounted the time when she was a baby when I fed her a bit too much milk, causing her to throw up on herself… and I wished her a "Happy Barfday" (it's actually her birthday… she's fifteen now)

Didn't we find him hiding in a hole in the ground?

I've been losing weight like crazy ever since I started cooking for myself. Apparently eating like a poor person is healthy for you according to my friend. Durr. No way. Eating nothing but rice, potatoes, beans and cheap vegetables is healthy for you?

Of course, to balance out this weight loss, I've gone and started up with the drinking again. I found a beer I like that also happens to be cheap. And I've been going through it by the case load.

One way or another, I seem determined to kill myself before the age of 30.

Dos Gringos makes me want to go and achieve my original childhood dream, which for some reason i ironically stopped pursuing when i joined the air force.
i wanna fly the viper.

Now why would I want that? I can get someone to tell me I'm f**ked in the head at the bus stop, for a hell of a lot cheaper.

I was just having a conversation about politics and society with one of these nutty kids who seem to believe that the only way to save the world is with Anarchy and setting government buildings on fire. He said the word "sheeple" and I immediately, without even recognizing it right away, stopped listening. I don't remember a thing beyond that point. Guess that says how seriously I take anyone who needs to use that kind of word to make their point.

Scientists have repeatedly demonstrated that reduction of caloric intake prolongs life. In rats and some primates, anyway.

I've been a starving artist for many years, and have learned to ignore hunger pangs. People are always mistaking me for someone ten years younger.

Just some food for thought.

See, I always thought it was the "Crypts". I guess not.

I should make my own gang.

Called…"The Manly Awesome Brutal Power Gang of Infinite Fury!!!"

And only girls can join.
Is that why you're the leader?

Oh man! Today I fainted! While I was out I was playing Yoshi's Island DS. I think I jumped over a chasm. Then I woke up, and the chasm had yet to be jumped over! Pfff…

WHOA. HEY. WHOA.
MAN. DUDE. NOT COOL BRO.
NOT COOL.

That was a dick thing to say…you dick!
D:<

And no, it's because in most gangs/clubs/etc, there's rules that ONLY boys are allowed. So I'm like, "Yeah, I'm cool, I'll only let girls join." And wha-lah. the Manly Awesome Brutal Power Gang of Infinite Fury!!! was born.

I just got back from the gym. And I'm sweaty.
Probably shouldn't be eating Cheez-Its, but they taste soooooooo good.

My family keeps reminding me how much I'm going to go in debt when I'm going off to a university. I mean everyday its "well that school cost too much". So I mention another one and they say that one cost too much too!. I'm getting depress cause if its not it costs to much its "University is 10 times harder than community college and you'll be lucky to survive it." I'm getting angry and depress at the same time D:<

So i got Bone today, hopefully it's worth passing up watchmen special hardback for *grumbles* Also for some reason i couldn't help but pick up and get this teen titans comic for the art, i get home and find out the dude from Charles Christopher does it.
I really like how DC is branching out to more cartoony art and coloring though. The whole realistic gritty inked + 2 cell shading is kinda wearing out it's welcome.

Ah man, i've been drowning my time with so much xbox, animu, and terrible music downloading I haven't been doing art or comics at all.Ah whatever i just quit after one page anyway *reads other comics*

It's pretty cool… a real antique cocked hat. With the original feather crest and everything! The lining has been re-done though. It stinks like a 150 years of cigarettes, because that's probably what it's experienced, but it's mine! Made out of the skins of moles apparently…

Post a pic!

"Life's a bitch and then you die,
that's why we get high,
cause you never know when you gonna go"

That's a NaS lyric, I just wanted to share.

Haha oh god that was funny.

My mom bought some shitty 1$ birthday balloon's for grandpa and she wont stop bitching about how they're already deflating. Being an old windbag is not going to make them fill up again dammnit :gem:

On the plus side she briefly considered getting me an xbawks, Wah-ha-ha!

I saw an acquaintance at work and she was speaking in a British accent. Because I was at work, I wasn't able to say "You know you're not British, right?"

If we were young people I'd think "Wow. That's kind of silly" but we're not and she wasn't kidding.

Hooray, new Professor Layton game has arrived! Layton's apprentice strikes again! I am gonna solve the shit out of some puzzles this week.

Today there was a little fair at the local allotments. It was nice being in the middle of a huge ground of growing things and fruits and veggies and flowers. I hate gardening but I love gardens.

You say this like it's even a fair comparison. Watchmen might have been the first graphic novel, but there's a hell of a lot better stories out there. Bone happens to be one of them, by a long-shot. It's better if only for the fact that Bone's entire plot actually makes sense. Because creating a genetically-modified super squid for the express purpose of blowing it up in the middle of New York makes perfect sense to Ozymandias, who despite being the smartest man alive, has apparently never heard of bombs.

Scientists have repeatedly demonstrated that reduction of caloric intake prolongs life. In rats and some primates, anyway.

I've heard this argument before. Like when the world realized that Americans eat 3x more than they should. Being a "starving artist" in this day and age really more equates to just eating what we're designed for.

Oh god i'm so sick of people not getting that and passing it off because they don't. It did make sense because it was to make mankind think the alien squid was from another planet, i.e. something worth looking out for and fighting together against instead of blowing each other up in religious wars. A bomb would have implied it was from earth and just spurred on another war, that would be forgotten and watered down in time just like Ozymandias had seen in Alexander the great and so many other times. Ozymandias wanted to be like Alexander but fix how his ideals/empire didn't carry on long after he died. The whole psychic projection was so everyone could be effected and remember it 'first-hand' instead of some biased news feed (like 911 or katrina for an example, people not there get sick of it after the 300th newsfeed).

I like bone so far, but i'd love to have the hardback of watchmen on my shelf since despite flaws, age, and the fact that the plots not spelled out for you on the first read-through, i still love it. So yes, it is a fair comparison.

Watchmen might have been the first graphic novel,

Wrong, the term "graphic novel" is older than that and it was used previously for Will Eisner's A Contract With God and for Bloodstar (illustrated by Richard Corben). Both predate Watchmen by several years.

As for the squid thing, I agree With Skullbie.

Haven't drawn or inked anything today or yesterday.

Yesterday I decided to give my hand a rest (after spending 5-8 hours inking a day for the last couple of days) and today I wasn't feeling good.

I'll have to do better tomorrow.

Been thinking how to approach reworking Din Krakatau. I know already I want the new version in b&w, but I'm kinda torn on whether to do it exactly the same (basically draw new art on top of the old art) or lay it out differently (different pagebreaks etc.) If the latter, I could even up the pagecount a bit. after all b&w art is faster to make, besides, there are bits where I'm not happy with the pacing. It's too packed. Guess I'll have to think about it more.
