Dude, the only reason I go to parties is to be an asshole/ f**k with people. I'm well-known as "that crusty punk chick who's like, way older than everyone else, and comes to parties to drink all our beer, tell us how much our music sucks, and verbally abuses 19 year old scenesters". If they're lucky, I'll even puke on their front walk. >:)

As for being "less grouchy"? Uh… pre-drinking?

Eh, I just played nice and went. These are people I actually get along with and like. Once I got there it was pretty nice, except for the part at the end where one of the guys on my old airsoft squad sent me a text to tell me that another one of our squad mates who was a ranger was killed in training.

Otherwise it was a fun party, though I seem to attract jailbait like flowers attract bees. I was enjoying myself just being goofy and started hitting it off with one of my buddies younger sisters ( which already put her in the "not gonna happen" category to my way of thinking. ) and once I got to talking to her, just to find out she's only 17 and is just a lot smarter and mature than most 17 year-old's. It seems like all the girls I attract are either bitches, skanks or jailbait these days. Maybe I should switch my deodorant or something. lol!

Heh. Yeah, maybe next time go for the "Shower Fresh" scent instead of "Eau de Jailbait". >:)

I know it varies state-to-state, country-to-country, but in North Carolina, 16+ is legal. It's kinda nuts- I mean, a 50 year old man could be sleeping with a high school girl, and not go to jail. Gotta love the South. huh!?

Ha, the law here just changed about a year ago from 14 1/2+ to 16+(or less than 5 years apart). Um…gotta love the north?
16+ doesn't seem so bad to me…I don't think the whole 50 year old man and 16 year old girl thing actually happens except on talk shows. Although I suppose an 18+ or less than five years apart law would make the most sense.

In Michigan, it's 16+.

That's where I was talking about…I'm not sure if it's the same throughout all of Canada, though. I'm in MB.

Age of legal consent is 16, but it's still not something to get mixed up in. It's way nastier if someone who is under the age of 18's parents decide to get involved, mainly because they actually can get involved at that point. It's better to just avoid stuff like that entirely in my book.

I just classify jailbait hitting on me as flattering but nothing to act on. I might be dumb sometimes, but I'm not braindead.

When i was in high school i sat with this group of girls in the morning and they sometimes talked about how gross older guys were, because even if they were just being nice/making conversation the guy would start hitting on them and making 'lol i'm so suave' eyes. Now I can't take it seriously when a guy says jailbait was hitting on him because it's usually 'being friendly=totally hitting on me' arrogance from him.lol! But i'm sure your jailbait was serious lba. :)

Yeah, I think once you hit your 20's, the under 18 demographic is off limits, unless you're a total sleazebag. I mean, as far as the numbers go, there ain't that much difference between 17 and 20; but as far as where you're at in your lives, respectively (for example, college/ working world v. high school) it might as well be 10 years apart.

I would normally agree with you and say I was just being paranoid Skull, but somebody else made a comment to me about after we left the party and I generally figure if someone else noticed then it's not just me thinking it and being arrogant. Especially since I rarely ever notice until long after the fact and I'm just a goofball with everyone. But either way, I couldn't care much about it.

That pretty much sums up my attitude. I'm maybe a day over 2 years older than this girl, but it's just flat out two different worlds.

I learned the hard way why Red Rover has been banned from many schools. I'm still swore from playing yesterday. Luckily, I didn't really get hurt, but many people got clothesline and even started bleeding. At worst all that happened to me was a couple of pulled muscles. Least my shoulder isn't popping anymore.

I like that one deodorant commercial where it was these guys playing against these NFL players and they were winning. It was a stupid commercial but it was hilarious.

Dude, I saw that happen to someone back when I was in school. It was awesome and I couldn't stop laughing, though I shouldn't have. It was sad, but funny at the same time…
Shame with dodge ball, though. That game rocked hard. I think kids should learn to suck it up and appreciate their game scars.

….

On to my little rant. One thing that makes me rage like no other is dick chicks. You know, those "boys" who look and act just like chicks, but they have penises. Yet girls slobber these guys up.
I don't understand. Why don't they just like girls in the end? I'm sure it will be less confusing and less difficult for them. :\ I think someone should clarify this for me, because I am at a loss for words (and all logic) to try and figure this out.

You mean emo/scene guys.
Yes, I hate them too.

In other words, I just chipped my tooth. And I'm mad.
I also just hit my elbow on my desk.

But, I'm having grilled hamburgers for dinner, so I'm like, happy again.
And I'm gonna get stuff done for the comic tonight.
Woooo.
Because I'm on Spring Break!!!

RE: the question…
If we're talkin' about girls and not women- more feminine-looking men tend to be less "threatening" to the sexually inexperienced. It's like how some folks start off drinkin' wine coolers or somethin' before they get a taste for beer. ;)

As for women- maybe because they like a sensitive, delicate, androgynous figure/personality (or however ya wanna word that), but aren't gay? To each their own, man. No need t' hate. :)

You know what pisses me right the heck off? When people won't talk to me just because I look young.
Like yesterday, I went to a movie with my mom that was 14A. The woman working at the ticket booth asked my mom "Is she 13 or under?" It's like Helllooooooooo! I'm right here! And yes, I do in fact know my own age!
Or if I go out with my dad to buy anything, no matter how clear I make it that I am the one looking for something, the person will continue to direct all their questions or suggestions to my dad. It's so rude! My dad will just be standing there nodding his head while I'm asking questions, but they still won't talk to me!
Does being little make me invisible?

I know the feeling. I went skiing last month and when I was renting my boots, the boot guy asked, "Who is signing for you?"

"I'm perfectly capable of signing the paper myself."

"No no no. You need an adult to sign -"

"I'm 21." The guy blanched and apologized.

or

My mom wanted me to sink deeper into adulthood by buying mascera for my prom. The vendor said. "I don't believe that girls younger than 13 should be-"

"I'm 18"

I might be a little short with people, but dammit, I hate being treated with a child when I've been an adult for 3 years.

I'm going to make it a challenge to myself to sketch/ink/and color a full short comic by sunday the 19th. I have a big wrinkly notepad full of short ideas and i'm gonna pick one and just go with it(probably a really easy one though since if i can do this by the 19th i'll try to make a habit of it.)
The comic is under 20 pages so if i get the roughs/inking done fast i should be able to do it. (typesetting won't be included and doesn't count)
Alright, starting thumbs now.

yesterday was the first time anyone has ever called me an age older than 5 years younger than me.

i was carded for pg-13 movies until i grew my goatee out, between college and military. many times they refused me service for a R movie, but then i just said "foo Q" and had one of my friends pay.
one night in vegas, i was carded 15 times over a 4 hour period, at the same table, and there was no night where i was carded less than 6 times.

I had a funny moment today, I met the man who baptised me, for the first time in 19 years. Thought he was a little annoying but a good fella. To bad he promotes christian(lutherism) way of living life, while I've gotten more agnostistic XD

I always find the hypothetical situation where a teenager who's at the age of consent dates someone who's under the age limit and it results in the older one being branded as a sex criminal. Even though their age difference was maybe a year tops. I don't know how common that is in real life but I feel like it happens all the time in American police drama.
I might be a little short with people, but dammit, I hate being treated with a child when I've been an adult for 3 years.
Funny enough, I've been on both sides of this situation. Back home I'm always considered to look younger then I am but when I'm abroad, everyone treats me like I'm older. I was also considered more attractive abroad while I'm just bland back home.

Why the hell am I staying here anyways? I should move out again.

God, I hate that SO much. I'm 5'3, so you can imagine how short I can be at times… and even though I'm 25 years old now, I still get mistakened for an 16-17 years old or something.

so I'm always being carded constantly at adult places, etc. and Yes, I've experienced the whole "Not being talked to because I looked underage" thing. if my parents are with me and such, then they'll talk to them instead of me.

I'm five foot even. The only good age mix up was when people thought I was in college when I was really still in middle school. But that was because I was alone and without my family. People stammer out "Does she want the children's menu?" when I'm with my family. Then they that I'm obviously an adult woman.

Heh. At 5'4", maybe I'm at the cut-off height for lookin' way younger than I am. Sometimes I'll get the offhand "Holy crap, you're not that old" comment from someone checkin' my ID, but I don't believe it unless it comes from a woman. Men tend to chip off 3 or 4 years from yer age in the interest of flattery/ avoiding offendin' ya. ;)
