I can never think of titles. And I really need one right now. Two, actually. I hate how things always need titles!

I've never played those. In art school I had a couple of games of Warhammer 40k. It was fun… but I just liked the way the figures looked, that game wasn't as interesting as the figures. :)
working out. It's ok. I like being a bit more defined, but I wouldn't want to go crazy and get pecs that look like moobs, or muscles that seem permanently flexed all the time… I saw a women who had the extreme version of that on the train the other day: Biceps with veins sticking out as she was relaxing in her seat.
Not a good look on anybody…
And surely that's not good for the bod? If you don't work on that all the time, what happens? Govenator Arnie has a horrible looking saggy tummy…
Bah. Crap on all y'all in-shape bastards. ;)
I do really wish I had access to a gym, though. Can't do much working out at home- not vigorous stuff, anyway. And running on concrete ain't an option for my arthritic knees. But I don't think I'll ever really get back in shape unless I'm working out like mad. I mean, I could lose weight by dieting, but I wouldn't get my tone back. Plus that's kinda sketch for me; I'm kinda not supposed to do that anymore. Bleh. Maybe in two years or so I'll have a steady job and be able to pull in enough cash to spend on vanity stuff like gym memberships. That'd be rad. I miss it.

Could be from all those steroids he took.
I'm sure if you were to work out without using those, you wouldn't have that.
Plus, doesn't help that he's old, and probably hasn't worked out in forever.
Anyway, I'm starting to learn anatomy and stuff now. I'm going to practice like, everyday. I plan on taking about a month off or so from the comic. I think I have enough buffer pages to cover me…I hope.
Since last night I scanned the ones I had in, and lettered them and whatnot.
I've just come to accept that I'm pathetically out of shape and never likely to get back into it.
I'm discovering that I'm far more active and productive at night. I feel more alert too. I went to bed at 5:30 this morning after working all night, and just woke up before 12. I feel way more refreshed on that 6 1/2 hours than I would on the 9 or 10 I get if I sleep during the night. I didn't get a whole lot done last night, but that was more because I left half the tools I needed at home.
I never actually go and "work out" but I've stayed…well, I'm not going to say in shape, but at least healthy. Lifting weights and all that crap is so boring. I play badminton once a week and other than that I just walk everywhere. Even if it's too cold or I'm too lazy to go for a walk one day, to and from school ends up being 40 minutes. Oh, and gym class is mandatory for us now.
My best friend and I are going to walk downtown today. Going to be a pretty good walk.
I fucking hated silent hill 3, it scared the snot out of me and i didn't understand that i wasn't supposed to fight all the monsters like an rpg. Also she had the worst movement controls goddamn her :gem:
If I ever see a subway dog I'm going to scream and run.
I love silent hill! But 3 is probably the worst out of all of them I agree.
Unfortunately, I am easily frightened and I perfer if I watch someone play the game (you can't play and scream at the same time) SH4 THE ROOM was awesome! I was afraid of wheelchairs after that one. You should play it.
ditto to you both. I miss playing. and as I got older getting people together was always a hassle especially for larger campaigns which if we play we would not get any farther than the bar at the starting town.
Sounds like you were playing with a shitty DM or too many people. My friends would just come up with an idea, forget maps and figurines. Just use basic characters with average stats so its all easy to keep track (sometimes we wouldn't even write it down) So all you need is dice. It makes the story really fast and creative. ;)
No, I think he means it's just hard to find older people (which I read as 25+) that can be as committed to keeping the kind of meeting schedule (say, once weekly, at the minimum) that folks without full-time jobs/ families/ etc. have the luxury of bein' able to maintain.ditto to you both. I used to collect those just because I liked painting the figures. People would always harass me to play with them and I'd just go 'noooooooo I haven't got the tone of red yeeeeeeeeet'. I elongated my vowels a lot, as well.
The rules are actually a lot simpler than those stacks of thick books make them seem, though. You roll a die, measure some things, then argue for hours. The winner is the one who has the least figures broken after the fight.
Took an hour and a half to walk downtown. It would have been less, but we took a little detour…we had to cross a major bridge to get downtown and the teeny, beat-up sidewalk has no railing to separate you from the cars, but at the halfway point we saw a sign that said "pedestrian" with an arrow pointing to a staircase. So we walk down these stairs, and for a little while along a(and I'm using this term loosely) path. It led us to a junkyard and a train track. So we had to go back the way we came and cross over the bridge anyway. Man, this city is not pedestrian friendly!

actually you both are right. :)
we did have shitty DM's. But also as Hyena mentioned it has become too hard to get us older folk with lives and shtuff to dedicate time weekly let alone monthly to run a campaign.
But I do miss it.
I haven't seen my bag of die in ages and if I even wanted to play I would know where to find it.
…
You got to love double entendres! lol!

I always wanted to paint those figurines. They look really sweet when those who were solid at doing them went to work on them. Some of my friends were crackerjacks at it and their figurines looked amazing. But something so small and with so much patience with little brushes and detail I would go Hulk Smash in a matter of seconds and feel like Lenny from Of Mice and Men sulking over a broken bunny.
actually you both are right. :)Heh. I was usually our DM, so the suggestion of a bad DM made me do the "nuh-uh!" thing. ;)

Oooooh, I remember those big-ass die bags! I had one, but it's been lost to the ravages of time and about a hundred moves. I bet I never used half of 'em, either. I do still have one set, though- the D3 to D20 set-up. They're in a heart shaped box, but I always forget what's in there. I rediscover them every two or three years when I'm cleaning, and consider briefly throwing 'em out, but never do.
Skullbie and Mishi both inspired me to start learning Anatomy, perspective, and all that good stuff.
I've been wanting to for a REALLY long time, but never got around to it. I really started today, and even after about a half hour of practice, I already found myself better at drawing. I'm so excited!
I may not even have to stop drawing pages, maybe.
:D
I'm so happy!
You go Ryu! :)
So i've had the shivers all day, i don't know why i'm just sitting there and all the sudden my spine is like 'omgggaaawwwd brrrzzzz' for 2 seconds.
Also i totally understand smackjeeves html now :P It's weird how intimidated i was by it before, now i can 'read' it and know how to design the layout. I'm making a quick one in photoshop now, should look cool when done.
Working out:
I decided that since I spend most of the time sitting around, I should do all my shopping in a store that's further away. Like, instead of 5 minute walk, 15-20 minute walk to the store. There we go, WORKOUT! :D
Pen and Paper:
Never played any games like that. Never could find people interested in these. So I stopped trying :D
Sleeping:
I ate too much icecream yesterday. Also, a friend left behing a 2L bottle of Cola, almost full… guess what, I drank it all. Result? All the caffeine and sugar kept me awake until 10am when I got somewhat giddy and finally crashed to bed…. only to be woken up four hours later with an insane headache, ugh.
Writing:
Going smooth. Due to my schedule being destroyed by caffeine, I ended up writing only 8 pages today, but that's 8 pages more than I did two days ago, so it's all good.
Allergeeeeeeeeeeeez. A curse upon them. If I try to draw, I'll drip snot onto my page. Charming, eh? I think I'm gonna try to go to bed now. Get up early. Get stuff done before the ol' ball an' chain wakes up and forces me to drive him places. Like Lowes. A curse upon that store, as well.
Seriously. I don't understand why I have to go inside the Lowes. Dude. I don't want to stand behind you as you spend 30 minutes deciding which piece of plywood you need, and another 20 choosing between two kinds of light bulbs, and another 20 wandering aimlessly down every aisle "in case there's something else I need that I didn't know I needed". Please allow me to sit in the car, where I can smoke cigarettes, read a book, and not get stared at by rednecks and day laborers. M'kay?
The store didn't have the kind of soy milk I like so I had to get this crappy kind and it makes me lips feel weird, as well as tasting like slightly off vanilla yogourt and chalk.
OH, and I came to an interesting conclusion today. Mushrooms = happy Hippie. Wild, right? But really, I spent today drawing anthropomorphic mushrooms and eating mushrooms with red pepper dip, and I haven't cried or been glum at all(I've been sad lately).
…It could also have to do with a lot of other things, though, I guess. The warm weather(+8! Snow is finally leaving!), sleeping in, a nice long walk with my friend, and of course all the fun drawing. Overall, it was just a pretty good day. And I haven't had one of those in a while.

Whatever it is, don't get that milk again. -_-

Mushrooms? 0_0
UGH!
Some bastard perverted freak was cooking them last nigh. The smell makes me feel sick to my toes. EWWWW!
I'm developing a real taste for Leo Tolstoy. For some reason I just find these books absolutely fascinating. I think it's because I've been working so much of late I haven't had time to spend on more intellectual stuff. I don't even know what made me pick up War and Peace. I just somehow randomly decided to read it and I'm already a quarter of the way through it after an hour or two.
A brilliant deduction upon your part my dear friend Oz. But for one small detail. The post times clearly show I could not have been staring at that digitally-altered milk-loving Russian vixen prior to posting in this thread!
This would be the part where I light up my pipe and take a thoughtful puff if I had one.
