Okay then, so, two townies who shall remain anonymous have decided to do the work for me, they've PQed me a list of clues pointing to one person in paricular.
Blitzkrieg1701
Blitz mentions that he likes Coke in his profile. He also capitalized the word SHRIMP in his list of favourite foods, which ties in with the food related words being capitalized in the narrative.

The second clue is the Blitzkrieg is a war technique used by the Nazis in WWII, Riefenstahl is said in the narrative, and Leni Riefenstahl was a Nazi propagandist, tying in Blitz again.

The tipster claimed that there is no other likely reason as to why Reifenstahl would be mentioned.

At this point, Blitz is a very likely suspect.

OKAY, TOWNIES, at this point, there are about 8 people I strongly believe are townies. It would help me out greatly if you could PQ me your roles. I'm not going to force you, but it would help out a great deal.

Also, as I feel like a freeloader right now, and I've come in contact with another helpful ally, I'm going to look for the second clues right now.

EDIT: I know who every townie is except 4 regular townies, and the vigilante.
If you could tell me what your roles are, you 5, we would practically win.

EDIT: My PQ inbox is going wild. o,o I've had no chance to start investigating the clues…

<-.-> Yippee clues. And for some strange reason, people seem to think that I'm a clue solver. I guess I might do something about them clues…but they seem to be already figured out.

I've been looking at the second set of clues… headache time. All the clues point to Hamlet but I don't see any links to Hamlet or shakespeare in any of the profiles… argh. I did discover that some of the profiles have next to nothing… making it harder for Baron I would guess.

To throw something out.. "undiscovered country" was also the name of the star trek movies… haha.

Hopefully you will have better luck :)

-,- I've checked all the profiles, looked at everyone's sigs, avatars, and checked the names of the comics. I see no links to Shakespeare.
Although I haven't really read much Shakespeare, so there's probably some blatant clue staring me in the face. >.<

*holds up waff's skull*
alas waff i knew thee well *kicks it into a dumpster* enough mourning

as for waff's murderer we should be looking for someone that had close ties to waff.
to quote wikipedia
"Riefenstahl's prominence in the Third Reich along with her personal friendships with Adolf Hitler"

lets say waff is hitler, who would be his Riefenstahl?

i have two suspects: harkovast and Ochitsukanai

This game moves too fricken fast! :(

I don't know what's happening. Two dead already? Fu**…

Is this night or day for god's sake?
————–
Reading through the thread it seems obvious that PP killed Waff and we don't know who killed the mayor's aid Flapjack. …Maybe someone Danish since the clues referance Shakespeare. -Hamlet of course.
The undiscovered country is the land of death. Yorrick was a Jester or court fool, but in that scene he's just a skull in a graveyard with Hamlet remembering him.

Riefenstahl was a propagandist film maker, famous for her "Triumph of the will". It had a lot of heroic imagery, marching, massive rallies and footage of classical architecture… And of course a lot of Nazi stuff, but nothing about the war, just German patriotist nationalism.

For some reason Crocty thinks one of the killers was a vigilante. Why would he think that?

If one was a vigilante kill I think we'll have to start fearing them just as much as the mafia. Like in the second game.

i agree ozone the mafia ability to determine day and night is too unfair

I don't thnk that, I'm just saying that if the vigilante did kill this time, they should tell me, so I can inform you all to stop investigating that.
I've got no PQs, so either they don't trust me enough to die, or the vigilante indeed hasn't klled.

If the mafia have a time machine, and it seems they do, they can get their kills in quickly and then end the day. We have to hit them hard and fast. Since it's… day time, we need to vote to lynch immediately.

Again, for reasons I stated before I believe PP killed Waff, but I can't help but wonder why Waff would have thought PP was dead when he hasn't been in any of the games up until now. And the only guess I have in regards to the second clue is still that Moogle has that picture of Kefka, who is a clown/jester. Hardly conclusive evidence, but it's all I can think of.

Or maybe if the vigilantes told you their roles, they lied? That would be a brilliant disguise for mafia lol!

It looks to me like ProductPlacement killed waff - poor stiff.
I think that Yorick a jester refers to none other than HUMORMAN - which would be humorous.

Please dont kill me yet.

By the way, I know that there was some talk about this last game and I thought it would be a good idea to try it out this game. Blind voting. I am not going to reveal who voted for you.
Blitzkrieg
One

Product Placement
One
Two
Three

Harkovast
One

And just to be clear, I will always have red herrings in the clues, just like everyone else.

Personlly I disagree with blind voting… Because when I was mayor it made it easier to campaign for the right people to by lynched when you could see who had voted for who. It also made it easier to see who was and wasn't voting so you could remind people- also who was and wasn't playing ;)

The only people who blind voting advantages are the mafia.

Yeah, I guess the townies could post who they voted for to be helpful.
It will make it more interesting.
Although then again, that whole incident with Ody in the first game "Whoever votes for me will die" could be solved.

:P It makes the game more interesting.

Oh, and I haven't voted for anyone yet, just to be clear.
I've been too lazy to do it right now, so I'm going to do it now, and vote for Blitz.
