You should walk around carrying that t-square over your shoulder ALL THE TIME. Like it's about to be used as a weapon in a gang brawl. Everywhere you go. With the cigarette hanging out of your mouth. And look at old ladies on the bus and be all like, "What?".

I cannot work out what you're wearing? o_O
Backless tights and cowboy boots?

Ska… Reminds me of the time I had a commission to make some horse armour (a chanfron, or head-piece). I was bashing away at steel for days and days in a dark, hot sweaty shed listening to an old tape I'd found with a collection of old Ska on it… Prince Buster, Desmond Decker and the rest.

Weird mesh thigh highs with a two-tone spandex panel, and a very short skirt. The boots are Frye engineer boots with some spikes and chains added by myself.

Like I said, if you make it here in August, look forward to a lot of that. Porch sittin' + grillin' + old skool ska + lots of booze. Pretty much the recipe for summer. :D

I love that person being a creeper there at your feet. What ARE they doing? Trying to suffocate themselves in the plastic? I find it so entertaining. Also – AMAZING job you have there.

That is my crazy friend Thuy I work with. I had no idea she was crawling around down there when the picture was taken.

So I'm trying out which will be my new general pair of sunnies.
1. My Old 70's gold rim RayBan Aviators. They used to be my mum's once upon a time. I've had the ear pieces and the nose pieces fixed.
2. Antique 1920's smoked glasses, silver frames with leather cups around the eyes. The leather was rotted so I mad replacements.

Looking at them here, the RayBans make me look like a massive knob, plus my face is a bit too narrow for them. I think the old round ones are probably the winner.

Opinions?

I have to admit, Oz, they both look good, but I like the 20's pair better, in fact, I am right now thinking about snatching them off your face and claming them as my own despite this impossibility of doing so, that is how much I like them.

——-

Remember how my mother butchered my fringe?

I try to hide the fact I have one, these days, and I sweep it aside in a vain attempt to pretend I don't have a fringe that is five centimetres long, and this is the result:

OH, and Oz? Every time I take a photo I go: "Jesus, my eyes ARE huge, now I know why people back away when I stare at them for too long", and yes, all my friends agree, I look like an Anime character with those massive eyeballs.

Or perhaps on drugs, they haven't really decided yet.

Apparently because my pupils are usually very very large and I look like a surprised owl most of the day, it means that I'm high as a kite according to them.

I do not blame them.

IN FACT:

I CAN SEE FOREVER.

Thank you OFAV! Very Flattering. I tried the round ones for a full day yesterday- unfortunately the leather on the sides completely blinds you to what's around, giving you tunnel vision and decreased awareness… I think They'd be better in the summer when everything is glary.
And they have springy hooks that wrap over the ears rather than ordinary wings, so if you tied or plait your hair back, they pull it out when you take them off… Lot to get used to.

I CAN SEE FOREVER.
I'm with Seventy. Those eyes are scary. Where's my crucifix? o_o

Probably explains why my grandmother splashed holy water on me that one time and threw a bible in my general direction.

It's funny, because you should see them when I deliberatly try to make them really big:

AHHH!!!

As for your sunglasses prediciment, I still say the bottom pair. Mainly because since you do have such an elongated face. The RayBan's make your face look longer because they're a. Larger and b. taper at the bottom into a triangle. The others shorten it, but then again, that just might be the way the photo is taken.

But you shouldn't really let it bother you how they look, just wear which ever pair is the most comfortable or what you think looks better. :)

The producers contacted me to do promotional work. They're also thinking of doing a Bethany action figure. Insert manical laughter here:
