Ugh - linkies don't seem to work as well as they used to…
Hmmm…I'll be on the lookout for romance comics for Skullbie! Have you read Valiant? I just found it–it's complete (as in ended now :(..), but it looks pretty good!

I found a comic today that has great art, and from what I've read the story is pretty nice, too.
As far as I know, Gott Gauss hasn't been featured, but there're enough pages there to get a good feel for it. It has some of the best and most-detailed manga-styled art on DD, I believe.

I'm going to be a suck-up and say I Drew 150 pokemon.
:D
Gott Gauss is the one of the few manga I've seen on DD that actually seems printworthy. Most the rest of the manga, while obviously created with a lot of love & passion, tends to be from wannabes.
This is pro-level stuff. Gott Gauss is only the second DD manga I've faved.
I'm surprised it hasn't been featured.
Thanks for the tip.
Later,
Chip
Try this one. It's a fantasy comic with a good sized archive. Art style is greyscale with heavy blacks, and greys that look hand-painted (but I think the author said is CG).
The art in the beginning is good, but I browsed at the latest pages and it really looks magnificent. I dunno about the story; haven't read it yet.
I'm going to be a suck-up and say I Drew 150 pokemon. Now if you say that about Made-Up Stories (whenever I get around to posting it) I'll be happy :)

I'm surprised it hasn't been featured.
It's kinda sad that even though we try and feature good comics, not enough people know about them even a year later :[
Erol Intangibles is amazing. These guys need to be featured immediately.Well if the features had been WORKING last week you would know if it had been or not T_T
Holy fook…
Everybody needs to check out Our Time in Eden. It's drawn by Ben Steeves of ZomBen, and the first page alone is one of the best I've ever seen.
It only has seven pages up, so now is a perfect time to start reading. You will not regret it.

While there is a lot of effort put into the prose as well… now that I've graduated from college, that sort of self-absorbed monolog kinda puts me on Emo Alert. But it's only for the 1st 2 pages. Afterwards you return to cinematic storytelling.

fantastic comic…but I think the main reason it is really unnoticed is because of the huge lack of, and gaps between, updates. But it is heads and shoulders above many web comics, IMO. I wish he would update more.
http://www.drunkduck.com/signifikat/
This is a B&W sci-fi/fantasy/superhero semi-manga-esque comic by Abt Nihil, currently 22 pages. The art and layout are both above standard.
However, the reason I'm recommending it is because I love the writing. Erol Intangibles has excellent writing. IMO, Signifikat's writing is just as good, in a different prose style. I don't say that lightly; IMO, in terms of raw prose, AFAIK these 2 comics are on the very top of my personal chart.
This may be a weird analogy, considering Signifikat's subject matter… but the writing reminds me of the novels The Catcher In The Rye and The Red Dragon (prequel to The Silence Of The Lambs). I can't tell you why it does… it just does for me.

You got that right Midge, it's pretty stunning!
Ok, I'm going to attempt to add one that I think should be read. It is completed, and happens to be by a wonderful woman, who I have come to believe is an alternate-reality slightly older version of me. X) Anyway, she's a wonderful story teller, and Castrating Bitch Girl is just a great read. Lots of mystery, philosophy, and more emotional content than you can shake a fist at. Give it a go, won't you?
Beyond Human. That comic's awesome!
echo this one completely.
The illustration is professional.
The comic needs to be read from the very beginning though to understand the full scope, because if one jumps in right now one would have some misconceptions about the content and storyline.

One of the top 3~5 furry comics on DD, I'd wager. It's pretty short on archives… just ogle at the art.
Just stumbled across this newly-arrived gem of a comic:
Doctor Stiletto
LOVE this guy's art.
@ spacehamster…checked that one out…its over already. :(
here's one barely anybody knows about…Dreamnasium!
Winterman has some fun strories with some fantastic art.
The current story line has to do with a modern day wizard trying to correct a horrible mistake.
Definitely needs to be checked out and faved!
Speaking of unnoticed… Erol Intangibles just got featured today :) I have a feeling Signifikat will be, as well. Sure deserves it! And another one I love is Hellfire:

The artwork is truly spectacular. MonkeyMafia also did some pages for Heroes Unite, a community project involving several superheroes by several different authors:

The art is good but the lettering downright makes me cringe.

Not too much about drawing style. But I like the story of this one. If the drawing style was anime or realistic style so much the better. :)

Agreed. The story is fantastic. Shame about the cartoony style, but it grows on you/you forget it thanks to the story.
No idea if these are unpopular or unnoticed but I discovered these fairly recently, more or less. And, with my luck, I noticed them on this forum topic and am just being stupid:
Divine Leap
It's epic.
Triple Torture
Interesting and quirky art with an equally quirky take on christian mythology.
DIS
Speaking of mythology, this time it's Greek/Roman. Speaking of quirky, the art is insane, but awesome…wait, not "but," insane implies awesome.
