I'd love to do some animated shorts in the future, but they likely won't be anything like Death P*rn; probably PG-rated. Right now my animating skills and technical know-how are far lacking for something of that level of sophistication, but it's not completely out of the question that I might do some crude "indie" toons after I finish this project, maybe next year.

A print version of the comic would be awesome, but right now I have no plans to do that. The only reasonably priced printing companies I know of won't do adult content and also can't print a landscape format, so I'm double screwed.

I don't plan on ever trying to sell copies of the comic. I know I'd never make enough money from such an enterprise for it to be worth the effort. I'm just happy to know people enjoy reading it!

"Plan" is a strong word, maybe.

I do have some ideas for other comics, some adult and some not, but whether I'm actually going to be able to do them or not is up in the air. If I do anything else with Carmen and Angie, it will likely be relatively short comics compared with this monstrous project I'm working on right now. No more 300 page graphic novels for me!

A comic starring Desperado might be pretty funny El Cid, with Angie and/or Carmen as his sidekick?

That would be awful! LOL!

Well, actually, Desperado's going to (finally) catch up with the girls later on toward the end of the story. We'll see how that works out!

Actually, to pipe in on "jerrie"'s idea and suggestion:
"The continuing misadventures of Otis and his sidekick Desperado".
Kind of like Don Quixote del la Mancha, with Otis being the dreamer and Desperado being the sane one,… up to a point.

or, Shannon, Angie, and Carmen could start a PI firm and go on misadventures

Uh, "jerrie"… I don't think its a good idea for Angie to be a "gumshoe PI".
Remember what happened the last time she held a gun in her hands!?

Hey EC,
If ya have no real set plans for future comics,.. I feel you oughta revive the "Certified Monster" pages.
That way you're not trapped in an ongoing, singular story.

As far as ongoing, continuing stories go, Death P*rn covers a pretty broad spectrum, so I'm happy to be working on it. But yeah, after I finish this monster of a tale, I will likely never attempt anything on this grand of a scale again, ever.

As for Monster, I dunno. I think it's mostly served its purpose, and I'm not a gag-a-day kind of writer. If I did revive it, I would change the format into short humorous stories.

Then again you could, in some form or fashion finish "FILTH".
Maybe as originally intended, or better, ..explore a differing take of it now since "Death Porn"!!
Break with or against your own sense of continuity. Make it something that's exciting to you and as well "stand alone-ish".
I still like to see "Shannon" starring in something that explores her past or profession before having met Angie, Carmen and Darren.
As I see her, she's meant to be different than the other two girls are.
But you'll need to settle upon her facial appearance.
I loved seeing her original appearance with the facial scar by the way, thought it "sexy"… and there must be a story to that too to explore.

How did see get it and was it apart of the original "FILTH" story to tell of it??

Plus that dorky male lead character was thus far interesting enough.
You've used his model just recently in "Death Porn" as Toad's Doctor, and in one or two "Certified Monster" tales.

Yeah, if I were you I'd finish "FILTH".
Let's hear it everybody, say to EC:
"FILTH"
"FILTH"
"FILTH"
"FILTH"
"FILTH"!!

Finish "Filth?"

Nahhh!

The story was set somewhere in between "LoveSnot" and "Death P*rn," and basically centers around Billy the Troll leaving Angie's apartment to live with flesh-eating sewer mutants. It wasn't a great story but I had nothing better to do at the time.

As for Shannon's face, she still has the scar (it's hard to see, but it's there). And the Doctor character in Death P*rn isn't just the same model, but he's the same character. You'll notice the hand Shannon sawed off has been replaced with a rake!

Billy the Troll leaving the apartment!!!

Wow -that, seriously, was something I was thinking of about as of awhile now.
Angie's been gone for who knows what amount of time, (and its not the first time)and I myself always have wondered what he does when left alone.
What the heck does Billy do when she's gone for these periods would make a great side story tale for you to pursue.

Maybe as a subplot to "New Filth" (the "dirt" undermining their relationship of Angie and Carmen):
Angie and Carmen do split (as of events from Death Porn, maybe),
but after discovering Billy is gone Angie asks Carmen for help to find him
(or as an excuse to talk Carmen offers her help to find Billy)
and during this tale they make up being friends, ..but first– the rift between them gets ugly and bigger.
(Suddenly, I'm imagining this pages long "girl-fight" between them.)

If you ask me, Angie's at fault here (In addition to her brewing jealousy, as seen now). For trying to appease people and of forgetting herself (That's as a argument for Carmen's side of things??).
And that poor midget had to suffer.

I'd say, rework "FILTH" alittle if it wasn't, as you say, "all that a great story".

Comicpress is a custom setup for Wordpress blog software that basically lets you create a navigable webcomic as easily as posting on a blog… or as easy as posting here at Drunk Duck. In fact, the ease of use is one of the original reasons I came to Drunk Duck, because coding everything out in HTML on my site was such a drag. Users can also leave comments on your Comicpress comic in much the same way they do here, or on any blog for that matter.

Here's an example Comicpress comic: http://comicpress.net/comic/persephone/

So… is this "comicpress" programmy-thingy up and running yet at your "Squickism" site?? I've yet to return still.
If I don't see an immediate improvement upon the site navigation and the page uploading… then I'm gonna come back and complain to "the management".

I don't mean to be selfish, -but if it doesn't help me why should I be so "dang happy" about it??

Wait a sec!! You had a chance to be "deliciously offensive" ..with Karen and a donkey sex scene… and you copped out, claiming it due to a "narrative interlude"!?!!
What horses#!t.
Hey, Paley,.. you could have animated it and stuck it onto a DD page.
Or does DD have rules about displaying exhibitions of unusual animal sex practices?
What?!! No "beastiality"??!!
What horses#!t!!
What the hell is our free country turning into.
Next we'll be censoring "Doctor Doolittle" from the public libraries!!

And how long till Madame Poppycock's dog gets his?! When we he have his golden moment in this comic? Cause every other freak has! If Toad didn't kill Madame Kitty we would already know if licking Toad would bring on strange hallucinations
What's that dogs name anyway???

xx,
Fastmax

The comicpress element will have its own url. Here's the first test page that's up right now: http://squickism.com/wp/

I still haven't custom-designed a template, and that will still be a ways off. More importantly, however, I've come to find out that you can't have multiple comics in your comicpress template, so I'll also likely need to install it in separate directories for each comic. Still looking into that, whenever I have free time, but for now, I'm happy to keep plugging away at Drunk Duck like I've been doing.

Im new to the series and your comics are fantastic. I was wondering where can I find Captain Awesome's comic along with the image of carmen doin doggystyle? it was posted as a image on your update blog on your "squickism" site posted 1/15/2010?. is Captain Awesome just a character that you employ in short stories or just regular comic strips? do you have various unreleased strips of your characters anywhere posted?

Captain Awesome doesn't have his own comic; he's just a goofball character I invented for "Certified Monster." The image of Carmen is from a strip that I later pulled out of the archives for several reasons, not the least of which that it wasn't all that funny. It's part of a two-part series. It follows a comic where a guy gets turned gay by the Gay Fairy. Carmen's trying to turn him back "straight."

Pretty much all of my comics are already posted at http://squickism.com/comix/ already. I'm sure I missed something here and there, given all the hard drive changes I've been through, but the archive there is as close to comprehensive as can be.

now that's pretty cool…thanks alot…would you happen to have anymore of these strips that you pulled out of the archives for various reasons laying around anywhere that you could spare? would you have anymore of carmen and angie either together or separate, along with any of their cohorts?. i don't intentionally mean to be perverse but i like those kind of scenes a whole lot and you are a great artist. i like the violence a whole lot but i will be honest, im more about the sex scenes….nice scene tho and im looking forward to your future chapters and future comics. keep up the great work really!!!!
