Heh heh! Nah, that was the only "blue" strip from the original Certified Monster series. I'm thinking about doing a new comic that's similar to Monster but much more adult-oriented. It'll have tons of stuff like that in it.

I have no concrete plans as to when (and if) that project's getting off the ground, though. I may wait until after I finish Death P*rn, which would mean not until 2012, and I'm thinking I may want to work with another writer.

i read what heavyheart19 said about those images and i was wondering the same thing? would u happen to have that same image of captain awesome swooping that girl up, along with the entire strip? it was off of that same image on your squickism update site that as posted 1/15/2010?. was that image part of a strip that was adult-oriented or was it a gag that was a deleted piece from Ceritified Monster? i like captain awesome character being that deranged maniac of a superhero. i was also wondering…..what's up with that image thats on batbabe's blog with her and captain awesome….its a image on this link http://batbabemx.blogspot.com/2010/03/el-cid.html...do you have the rest of that strip or deleted comic?…u gotta keep feeding us out here…YOUR FANS NEED YOU!

The strip with Captain Awesome swooping up the girl was a strip from Certified Monster. It's still there. Here's a link to that one:

Flight Hazards

Captain Awesome also appeared in an earlier strip:

Faster Than A Speeding Bullet

Nothing super-adult about either of 'em, though they do have some boobage. Certified Monster never really went beyond Skinemax-level with the adult content. It's an artifact from that fleeting period when I thought I might have a shot at going mainstream.

As for the Batbabe pic, Jessy hits me up with image and comic requests from time to time. This was just a one-page deal. A lot of fun to do, but not something I do a whole lot of. Superhero stuff is more up Jessy's alley than mine, though I do like to spoof superheroes. Oh man, do they ever deserve it!

Be sure to check out my Big Fish Story comic too, if you get a chance. It's got plenty more of my patented brand of madness in it!

u said before in your previous comments that when you finish "Death Porn" and when you start your next comic, you may want to work with another writer. i wanted to know that if that happens, would you most likely handle the plot and the storyline, rather than handling the artwork?, or vice-versa? or possibly share with the other writer doing both??….how are you with being flexible about letting another writer handle the important parts of a comic while you play shotgun? do you feel that you're the only one who feels that the way you write and make artwork can only be done by you?..i understand how this can go either way so obviously know that im not trying to instigate riffs. do you ever plan on adding new artwork to any of your previous comics that are incomplete, or maybe some leftover or unreleased bonus scenes like you've done in the past? and uuhh…..last but not least, do you ever plan to make pin-ups of any of your characters in the future?

Right now, I'd say it's almost pointless for me to be putting too much thought into life after Death P*rn. By my guestimations, I'm not likely to finish the comic before early 2012, and even then there's a lengthy epilogue that I really want to add onto it.

The project I want to do after Death P*rn is basically a straightforward comedy series made up of short (15 to 30 pages) comic stories rather than the usual hundred-plus page fare I tend to take on. It would still be very adult, and feature most of my old characters, but it would be more lighthearted than my "darker" stuff, like Death P*rn or Sex & Candy. Since I'm not a very good comedy writer, though, I'd need to hook up with somebody who could help me come up with solid funny storylines. I'd still be doing the artwork, and most of the writing at the macro level. It would still be very much my work, not just me illustrating somebody else's scripts.

Incomplete comics… I guess you mean Filth? No, I'm not going to finish that one. At this point I couldn't if I even wanted to; the models I used for that are long gone. I'd have to completely recreate it from scratch. As for Far From Hollywood, that was a complete story, but also part of a series of short complete stories that I never picked back up on. The epilogue to Death P*rn (if I make it) will be a continuation of that. I've also considered doing a continuation of The Big Fish Story featuring Carmen and Cody's additional adventures in Mexico. I don't plan on messing with any of those, however, until after I've finished Death P*rn.

As for pinups, I plan on going back and adding chapter break artwork to Death P*rn while I'm on hiatus. The first one will likely go up tomorrow!

Just for the heck of it, here is the culmination of my mad science experiments with 3D anaglyphs. You'll need some of those red-blue 3D glasses to see the effect. Try looking at it from different angles & distances to fully appreciate the 3Dness!

Did you view it with 3d glasses? It's a pretty neat effect, I think. I'm really happy with it.

(some problems with the animation itself, obviously, but I was mostly doing it to try out the technique)

It'd be awesome to do a fully animated caper, complete with voice actors and all that. No time to put something like that together right now though. :( I'd do it 3D too if I could figure out how to do chromadepth.

Naw Jerrie, he's not planning to do anything after all this 3d experimentation.
This is all El Cid "just fukkin' around",..with Carmen cyclefucks and cyclesucks and cyclefucks and cyclesucks and…

"Chromadepth"??
Any relation to Johnny Depp …or did you just invent the term?

Chromadepth is just another 3d technique. The red-blue thing is pretty outdated, but it's the only thing I know how to pull off.
