Any thoughts? Would anyone would like to have a gun with this amount of bores? would your characters be able to handle this amount of power? LOL.

So, I'm psychotic lol! I'm designing an 4-bore pistol.
Obsolete slug for a large target. You're talking 19th Century. Try 12.7mm or 14.5mm sniper rifles like those made by Barrett.
Also during WW2 there were various anti tank rifles in large calibers. There is also a 12.7mm revolver. It's s monster. By comparison 12.7 mm is .50 and the Magnum is .357 or .44 caliber.
I've shot a .44 and it hurt. A lot. But that target had a big hole in it.
In my comics the characters have used 7.62mm and 5.45mm AK series rifles as well as 12.7mm DSHK heavy machine gun. Interstellar Bloodbeasts had MP-5 ,series 9mm submachine guns with specialized subsonic ammunition for use aboard space ships.
And Searsha had her MP-40 submachine gun. She shredded her target with it. You don't need big caliber to really mess somebody up.
I put entirely too much thought into these things. 😉😅🤣🤣:D

Yeah, because my friend and I kinda was like, what if we have a character can use a 4-bore bullet against a human being at close range lol.
There are oversize revolvers that can shoot the .600 Nitro Express cartridge.
Why such a thing exists, I do not know. But it does.
I don't know under what circumstances a character would need a giant pistol like that. Are they hiking through bear country? If you want insane firepower, a rifle in the same bore will be more manageable and give you more muzzle energy and accuracy.

12.7 x 55 ASh-12 Bullpup. Join the 21st Century or at least the 20th

But those Nitro rounds are old school for elephant hunting while wearing a pith helmet.

The whole huge gun thing has a number of reasons behind it:
1. You're usually showing that your character is superhuman.
2. Because your character is superhuman then it becomes practical for them to use a powerful weapon that takes advantage of that capability.
3. It looks cool and unusual.
4. The gun symbolises power.
5. The threats they face must also be extremely tough.

I've got to hand it to you – designing a 4-bore pistol is quite an ambitious project! It's like a fusion of engineering and firepower, and I can't help but wonder what kind of force that thing would pack.
As for characters handling that level of power, well, that's where the creative possibilities come into play – it could add a unique twist to the storyline, that's for sure!
