Grr. I hate it when my internet is slow because it's rainy. WTF, man.

I have one problem though, I have no idea where to go with the "style" option…
When all else fails, go with "cartoon". Most comics with a style that's more unique or bastardized (as opposed to traditional/ mainstream American, or manga) seem to peg themselves that way. Although I kinda think there's a stigma attached to the word "cartoon", in that it implies a lack of seriousness. Meh. Whatever.

I hate the "genre" categories myself. I mean, if there's a "weird" option or something to that effect, I usually go with that. On DD I've got "The Hub" under "real life", but… I'm not sure that's what it is. surreal life, maybe? alternate realality life? Really weird life?

It's rainy here too… was going to go buy some food but nooo, I have to either wait hungry or get wet :/

I have problem with genres too, heh. Went with Sci-fi / Fantasy. I really with there'd be an english equivalent of the term "Fantastyka" which implies both sf and fantasy (and horror stories too, as long as they're not fully rooted in reality).

Meanwhile, the template work progresses smoothly. I think some of the design elements stick out a little though. But I kinda like it (will see if I still do in a day or two, haha).

Shoot. I wonder what we could come up with?
Real Life doesn't really apply…
Hm…
Alternate Reality sounds better.
I don't think I've ever seen a one-eyed guy in real life.

Today was great. I only have one thing for homework, I feel better, I can draw today, and pretty much, I'm happy.
I also keep getting great comments about my comic from Used Books, which is always nice :3

She always gives me really thoughtful comments, too. :) usedbooks is definitely one of DD's MVPs, if ya ask me. (MVP= most valuable poster? lol! )

I knew a guy in school who only had one eye. One time, he hid the false one in this girl's drink, and she threw up after she found it.

one-eyed people:

We had a kid in class who had a messed up eye. He got hit in the face with a snowball that had a rock inside, so his right eye (I htink?) was white. I don't know if he was blind on that eye or not. Possibly. Or at leat partially.

True…but downloading the Flash "trial" unlocks to the full version *eyes left and right* I am NOT advocating piracy…that is NOT an admission! *runs*

the pretend to buy with pretend money and then pretend to use it. :P
This ;)

Grr. I hate it when my internet is slow because it's rainy. WTF, man.
I thought it was just my imagination, but I guess not if it happens to you as well! I have no idea what causes it…I know I'm some stupid 114 hops on my DSL from Denver (seriously…WTF Qwest? My latency to Denver is fucking 72ms and I'm ten minutes down the freeway from your hub??? Gaming is miserable and yet my scores are still high…when I had Comcast my highest latency in a US server was 82ms and one in London was 116ms!!!), but it shouldn't be that slow during the rain…

Did you know Flash has a virtual camera called VCam you can script into an animation preventing the need for multiple key frames for manually resizing your animations? Yeah, whoever did, STFU, this is new to me and I've used the program for around six years now… Oh, and Flash CS3 is fucking awesome

Was at school from 8:15 am till 6:45ish pm today. Blaaaarrgggghh. That is way too much time to spend in that horrible building learning horrible things.

But on the bright side, my hair looks more or less normal now that I've washed all that crap out. It's actually pretty nice now…a bit curlier because its own sheer weight isn't holding it down and it's easier to brush. And I got a couple books from the library because I'm getting back into reading.

This:
This is a page for bypassing Internet censorship
It's a proxy site people use to hide their real IP and bypass blockers and filters.

….i don't have any homework left….

This feeling is so creepy, it's like there's a silence inside me.
I guess I'll think about making short comics, and upping my gym routine.

I made a couple logos for my friend's band because I'm a nice friend…they were both similar, but one took way longer and looks way better. And everyone likes the other one way better! Hmph.

Rainy again and slow internet again. I mean, my usual speed isn't exactly instant, either. But for some reason that extra 15 seconds annoys the hell outta me. I need to just chill and realize it's not the end of the world if it takes a page 20 or 30 seconds to load.

I need to get off the damn internet and shower and leave, though. Nine hour drive today, and as usual, the goal is to make with through the mountains before dark.

omg cool where are you going?? the mountains… hmm… where are the mountains?

gruh, I'm writing papers. Uh-oh.. like… it's due in 5 hours and I've written 1 sentence.

oh and tomorrow I'm taking an IQ test~! Hooray for self-obsession and vanity. I'm just setting myself up for disappointment, of course, but it'll be nice to know my intellectual limitations. Plus, this is really like my last chance; I'm moving back home soon and I'd probably have to drive to Massachusetts or something to take one.

(plus, what if it turns out I'm a genius?)

From eastern North Carolina to eastern Kentucky- gotta cross the Appalachians. It's only about an hour's worth of driving through the mountains, but the roads are really curvy and in poor repair. So it sucks if the weather's bad or it's dark.

I find it hilarious that the one person on this forum who is always spouting delusional conspiracy theories, believes lizard like aliens live among us, thinks fluoride is a mind control device, and generally coming across as a paranoid loony that wears a tinfoil hat at all times- believes the bible is fact.

i believe the bible is fact…and i know that some conspiracy's are rooted in fact. but non-disclosure agreements keep me from saying which ones. or even refrenceing which ones.

greetings from indiana. nice cold rainy indiana. actually, today is the first time it's rained since we got here. so it's been a very nice trip. but still kind of depressing. everyone around is out of a job. all the big companies are chrysler and GM and some electronics place that is closing down. even in the medical fields it's hard to find a job, because when people got laid off/fired, they went straight to what they thought they could get. so in this area at least, there's a surplus of people wanting to work in medical.
it also helps me reaffirm myself in re-enlisting. because if i had gotten out, i'd have come back here, and i'd be a poorer college student, than when i first went.

i also feel a lazyness here that i felt in the islands earlier this year. i did go running on monday, but other than that, i've only been doing 200-300 pushups a day. which is more than when i'm home. but when i'm home i'm working out more.

Okay, chair it is and I found a decent carpet. Almost looks decent through the lens.
Of course the pictures for the previous chapter downloaded to the computer totally out of order, I edited them out of order and I have no clue as to which one goes in what order. It happens sometimes when downloading the pictures from the camera and confuses the heck out of me and I usually end up doing twice as much work.
And I keep getting asked really obscure questions about military uniforms. Montanagran uniforms from World War One? lol!

So my brother and I went and visited my step-grandfather (well, my brother and I are from different dads, so yeaaah) and he's an artist. He paints and stuff. He's 73 now, and wow. It really opened my eyes.
The guy has one about 500 medals, and apparently has a $2500 painting. The stuff he does it amazing.

I'm now going to be practicing to try and become that good.
Except…you know…with comic art.
So I think after I finish this page right here (Page 20) I'll scan them all in, and get to work on that.

Just…wow.

Mine came back at 134 when I took it about three years ago.

Try and invent something and see :)
-or create a truly awesome work of art, solve a fiendishly difficult problem… Something like that. I think that'd be the best indicator ;)
—————
Something pretty cool;
A hawk swooped into my garden and alighted in the trees, chasing doves. It's a smallish one with pale yellow eyes and matching long yellow legs, with brownish feathers on top and a cream coloured underside with lots of black stippley stripes.

I've seen them hunt there before, usually a bit bigger, but all other times it's been too fast to get too much of a view. This one hung around :)
But unfortunately it's scared off every single other bird… :(
